Thanks, i had a good experience with my time dining with Holland America but maybe that is not the one to do here. My sister also commented the one time she did it she didn't like it, something about it being more chaotic but i never understood the reason she didn't like it.

If you reserve a my time dining time are you sat with other people? Is my time recommended for singles? I know this often comes up in solo topic but it seems like the way my time is handled is different per cruise line.

My sister was complaining about it so i don’t know all the ports affected by this. She went to haines, juneau, ketchikan and sitka. Note my mom doesn’t like to walk so its possible they would bus, even if walking option.

My sister was complaining because they had to bus in from the cruise ship terminal at the ports. She commented she felt like a second class citizen as a result. Is it just luck of the draw who gets the closest terminal or is rci always at a far port? She was on serenade of the seas aug 7 sailing, I recall when i was on HAL i never had to bus in so i was surprised by this.

My sister just went to tracy arm and she didn’t think the small boat excursion was needed. She felt the glacier wasn’t impressive and what she thought was stunning was the scenery leaving tracy arm inlet. What do people think? I know the excursion is popular. I’m also wondering if the excursion still runs if the cruise ship can’t get into tracy arm. I would be going june 25th next year and i’m concerned the cruise ship won’t get into tracy arm in which case would the excursion go ahead. I know there is really no way to know though. I’m wondering if it would be better to take an excursion to something like the taku lodge or misty fjords flight tour? Or is tracy arm excursion better? I can’t afford to do it all. I know the taku lodge tour seems highly regarded.

I can't believe how much the price has gone up for the Brilliance Alaskan sailing. No wonder they are not too keen on accommodating people. I actually think i am paying about the same as a solo as if i went as part of a double and that says something.

Are you able to change your reservation from solo to double? I know i could rebook but i like the room. This may happen, not definite but curious about this.

It looks like no single supplement is back on some of the celebrity spring Caribbean cruises so if you are interested check it out.

I walked around by myself a few years ago and felt perfectly safe. Its a tourist town.

If you are a last minute cruiser, looks like celebrity has some alaskan cruises with no single supplement or quite low at least, in particular, there was some really cheap seattle ones. (For this august/sept)

One thing i’ll say about enchantment is they did have good sales on excursions and dining. I got chops lunch on sale which is unusual. Hope to see that on brilliance.

I was pleased as invoice amount was the same. Taxes went up 9.00 but there must have been savings elsewhere. I was also able to move from forward to midship for no extra cost.

Just to confirm my sister is 50 in bc and was able to get the second booster shot. I think the only thing she told them is she wants it for a cruise and to begin teaching.

I think we need to wait to get the automatically generated invoice. The rep i talked to suggested its coming today but who knows.

That’s terrible! Now i’m worried the price won’t be protected on mine. I got such a good deal. They say the price will be protected so obc should be protected. I guess thats a loophole for them.

If you were able to switch your cabin before the automatic switch make sure you check because my selection was wiped out and i was put on original deck. I was able to change it again by phoning. She said invoices will automatically be sent in 24 hours. The price for mine better change as it is showing higher. Sorry iam on the alaskan brilliance sailing but it seems to be operating similarly.

Has anyone else who booked through royal caribbean site had trouble getting their invoice? I know my email works and i’ve tried another email and yet i don’t get the invoice. Is there anywhere else i can get it?

Can someone confirm that the old cost off the gratuities is 135.5 canadian for 7 day cruise? The invoice won’t email to me for some reason and thats all they’ll confirm to me on the phone.
