Last week on Sea, I had a waffle at Mamsen's and ordered a mimosa around 9:30 am. The bar in the Explorer's Lounge was not open and they went elsewhere (probably the Living Room) to get it.

In Japan, it's customary to bring a gift. I would like to bring Canadian Maple Fudge for a friend of our children who lives in Japan and also for our tour guide in Tokyo. Does anyone know if this is allowed? Since reading this thread, I've been researching the topic and I have been getting conflicting information.

Following are the hours for the lounges and bars on our cruise which ended a few days ago: Aquavit Bar 10am - 10pm Explorers' Lounge 10am - midnight Pool Bar 10am - 5pm The Living Room 9am - midnight Torshavn 9pm - closing

I had the best rib eye ever in Manfredi's recently. It was huge and done perfectly. The next time I asked for a half portion. It was still too much, but again, a perfect medium rare. I agree about the NY strip steak. It's not very good at all.

Agree! And pre Covid they used to publish the menus and dates on the dining reservations website on MVJ. For the past couple of years the website states that the menu is "Coming Soon".

We are on Sea now and I haven’t seen them in the gym. Given the sweat a person can work up using them, I’d rather bring my own. Also, they take up minimal packing space.

We very much appreciate that. Is there a reason why CC doesn't have their "Meet and Mingle" on Viking anymore? I understand that Covid interrupted all of that, but having this get-together has made a big difference in this cruise for us personally.

Totally agree. We were there 10 months ago and were very surprised at the difference. It seems to be quite built up and lots of sea-doos, etc. A very happy place.

Today we went on Ronnie Carrington's photography tour. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Quite an entertaining and knowledgeable person. Thank you @CCWineLover and @TayanaLorna for your long ago posts about this excursion. He talked about enjoying working with Viking because Viking's passengers make him think, rather than just smile. We really enjoyed spending time with him and thanks again for bringing him to our attention.

A couple on our Viking Sea cruise last year did a private tour just to the Falconry Centre. They spent half a day there and had much more interaction with the birds than we had because if was a much longer tour. I wish I could help you out further and had the information. If it's something you're really interested in, keep searching. If you want to do both the Falconry Centre and Krka Falls, I would suggest that when you are climbing back up Krka Falls, you ascend the same way you descended. @TayanaLorna the idea of climbing back up via the way you descended is something I should have expressed in our emails.😊

Haha, no not that simple. We went back at 6:30 -- same thing. Around 7:00 is our cut off for eating. It has turned out to be"not a problem". 😉

9:00 is the last seating for both restaurants and they ask that you arrive early.

If nobody comes up with an answer on last seatings, I will check it out after our BBQ in the rain on Aquavit. Great fun!!

Excellent advice and I will offer one more thing. If there is something you want and can’t get, check back often. We’ve already cancelled 2 excursions for our April cruise. No doubt there will be more changes to come. Also, on the cruise we’re on right now, it’s day 4 and we’ve already cancelled 2 excursions.

Yes, we change ours all the time once we board and see the menus. Yes, if your times are flexible, it’s possible to eat at both specialty restaurants more than your allowance.

From one Cindy to another.....:) We are on legs 4 and 5 of a 5 leg cruise. Our leg starts in April. The 1st leg starts in February. There were plenty of categories on different legs that booked before us, but we were able to get all the excursions we wanted. We didn't expect that, and even several days after we booked, there are only a few "sold out"s. We set up the ACH payment ahead of time. Both DH and I logged in. We had our excurions prioritized. He put 3 in the cart, I put 3 in the cart at the same time and then one of us checked out while the other was putting more in the cart. (I'm laughing while reading this because it sounds like an after Christmas sale or something like that.) We had 5 weeks of excursions to choose and we were done in less than 5 minutes. And yes, choose the optional excusions first and the included ones last. Anyway, there are many people here who say that 2 people cannot be logged in at the same time, but this has always worked for us.

This morning we did a laundry tour. This aft is the bridge tour. Our galley tour is on Wednesday. We’ve been on Viking Sea 3 times in the last 10 months. One of the most remarkable things about the Sea is how happy the staff are. Unsolicited, we often hear what a great company Viking is to work for. It’s a happy ship! BTW, the rib eye at Manfredis the other night was just as delicious as ever One minor complaint is that The Restaurant doesn’t take reservations and the line up is past the elevators even before it opens.

We loved the Falconry Center. It was one of our most favourite excursions on our 3 week cruise. The Krka National Park was fairly ordinary for us and not worth the trip down and up. If we were to do it again, we would just book a private tour to the Falconry Center and skip Krka Falls. However, many people here really enjoyed the Krka Falls. Much has been written on this topic recently and if you search "Krka", I think you will find many opinions from others who have been on these excursions. Enjoy!
