  1. I think U.S. Customs at Pearson closes around 9pm and opens up around 4am.
  2. We like the extra space and the locations of the PJS as opposed to the PV, which we tried once. We are going to try an ES2 in the future. I think the videos from the aft that have been posted by @OneSixtyToOne and @Selion sold us on the aft.
  3. That sounds like a very nice trip!! And Trenitalia is the best in Europe IMO. You might consider a train pass depending on how long you will be there. Also, please take a look at spending a day or two touring the seaside villages of Cinque Terre. It doesn't take long to hike, or you can take a ferry between the villages. That was the highlight of our Italy trip. We stayed in Monterosso.
  4. @Reaniel I think most posters here who have been to Venice will say that it is much better to visit Venice independently rather than by cruise ship. It really doesn't matter if the ship docks in Chioggia, Fusina or Ravenna, the transportation to and from the ship eats up a lot of time. It's so much better to go to Venice and stay in Venice for however many days it takes for you to see all you want to see. We spent a lot of time in Venice several years ago. We visited again this year with Viking and docked in Chioggia. We had no desire to see Venice again, but wanted to visit Murano and Burano. We did that excursion with Viking because the transportation was from the ship via boat. It was a really great excursion and we're glad we did that. On the way back to the ship, a couple wanted to get off at St. Mark's. Trying to park the little boat we were on was crazy -- horns beeping everywhere, boats cutting off other boats to take their parking space, crowds of people lined up as far as you could see waiting to take a boat to somewhere. Really, these days, it's best to do Venice on your own. Plus, we enjoyed just walking around Chioggia. It was quite pleasant.
  5. Thanks much for this. I used to buy meclizine (Rugby rather than Bonine) in the U.S. I had never heard of a "compounding pharmacy" until I looked it up after reading your post. It turns out there is one not too far from us. Thanks again!
  6. They're the same as far as I know.
  7. We toured it a couple of cruises ago. You can't miss with this one.
  8. Do you mean 4121? I think that 4021 is a PV.
  9. Somewhat different than San Diego!! 🙂 You all look like you are thoroughly enjoying yourselves.
  10. I wonder if Lulu leggings and a nice tunic or sweater would be okay, or would the leggings be considered sportswear?
  11. Guest services will give you that information if you ask once you board, or you can go to the Viking Cruises website to see how many cabins are available. Although sometimes that information is not current. Enjoy!
  12. Thanks. Tried that and it still doesn't work. I'll try again tomorrow.
  13. @OneSixtyToOne They really are good photos. Are you still using your iPhone 14?
  14. I wonder if these are being sold as segments on the World Cruise.
  15. You're probably right -- one or both of those scenarios. It turned out okay in the end. There were two gate agents. One not so nice, the other very nice. After the not so nice one gave us a difficult time, the nice one offered us seats in the crew waiting area downstairs. Once we boarded, the AT crew said the agent up top was wrong. Whatever.
  16. Thanks. Now we're having trouble with MVJ on both iPad and Mac We'll wait it out.
  17. Thanks for that. We have always been under the impression that it is extra because it is usually delivered to the gate, After we bought the wine at Gatwick, we expected it to be delivered to the gate. Instead the clerk handed it to us and said it wasn’t part of the carry-on allowance so we would be fine. Off we went to the gate and we were very surprised that it was part of our carry-on allowance.
  18. This has happened to me before, but not recently.
  19. In my aforementioned experience at Gatwick, the agents made us put 2 bottles of duty free wine in our carry-ons, which then made the carry-ons too bulky for the baggage frame. We’ve never experienced this before and we were always under the impression that duty was exempt from the max carry-on rules.
  20. I just tried it and it works for me. Just unusually slow. Try the chat function if you can get to it.
  21. A couple of cruises ago I booked a manicure and DH booked a massage after we boarded. When I talked to the spa person about not being able to book the manicure online, she said to just book a 50 minute massage or facial on MVJ and then change it to a manicure once we board. So on Saturday, I booked 2x80 minute facials. These will be changed to a manicure/pedicure for me and a Swedish massage for DH.
  22. Our reservations opened on Saturday and all that is listed is two types of facials and the Nordic Restart; no massages yet.
  23. For some reason they are not listed in MVJ which is unusual. Maybe they'll show up soon. If not, you should head over to the spa desk as soon as you board. The spa can get quite busy.
