  1. We always head to the Pool Grill. Love their philly cheesesteak and salads. We board in San Juan next month for the transatlantic to Barcelona. We can hardly wait. πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
  2. I think there is a train that goes from Venice to Chioggia Sottomarina with a change in Padova. It takes less than 2 hours and then it's just a few kilometres over the bridge to the port. The cost is around 10Euros each + a short cab ride.
  3. Post #12 on this thread could be the one Linda was referring to above.
  4. And that's the beauty of it. πŸ™‚
  5. The only low carb dessert I had was the sugarless ice cream. But they will probably come up with something for you, especially if you do what MSEm suggested and talk to the chef or your server.

  7. I eat low carb and if you check the box that Linda above indicated, they will send daily menus to your stateroom.
  8. We were watching Viking TV the other day and something we didn’t know is that Torstein Hagen and Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio, the former owner and Chairperson of Silversea, are close friends. He helped design Manfredis restaurant and that is who it is named after. An interesting tidbit. πŸ™‚
  9. Great photos. Thanks too for the sail away videos from the aft cabins.
  10. Thanks much for this information Andy. We are using Air Plus for the West Indies with Viking next January and I wouldn't have know to do this if I hadn't read your post.
  11. HOP gets good reviews! I know at least one of their aircraft is an Embraer E-190 which personally is my favourite type of aircraft. Enjoy!

  13. We gave Viking a different email address than the one we use to book cruises with Viking and we get promos almost every day now. We’re already booked on the San Juan to Barcelona TA on March 15, so this promo isn’t useful for us.
  14. I haven't noticed anyone with their feet on a drinks table. But more thankfully I haven't noticed a man taking pictures of people's feet, including my own. When this thread was first posted on November 3, silently I questioned which was worse: the feet on the table or, I assume, the surreptitious photos of feet. For me, it was, which event brought on more of an ewwww factor. The answer will be different for each of us. But on future cruises I'll be watching for the photographer of feet and will try to hide my bunion(s) πŸ₯Ί
  15. You're absolutely right, rude and churlish behaviours demonstrated towards crew should never be tolerated. We have taken several cruises on Viking. I have never taken a cruise where I saw anyone taking pictures of other people's feet. To me that is a new behaviour pattern on Viking.
  16. Toronto. My Mike said we would surrender our kitchen to you and your Mike. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
  17. But you started the thread. And I apologize to everyone on this board, but I just have to finally ask, especially if we're moving on, would you rather sit beside someone with their feet on the cocktail table or someone who takes a photo of your feet?
  18. Yes, I did. That's very different from what you said I said. πŸ™‚ I agree with what Ex-Airbalancer said above. That's my take.
  19. I didn't say that I heard there was even a threat that AT was going out of business.
  20. Thank you. That's a good tip and we will look into that. I see it is offered by Viator.
  21. Thanks! Your post convinced us. We would like to have an overview of the city, but want to spend time touring on our own afterwards.
  22. This is something we would definitely like to do if we can determine how much time we have on our own after the included tour.
