  1. Yes. You can cancel prior to embarkation and get a refund.
  2. @KarenRB Try taking a look at the Nov 2024 Viva TA from Lisbon to Puerto Rico. It's a southerly route and it seems like a unique itinerary that stops in Morocco.
  3. I liked Prima enough that I booked 2 cruises on Viva, one of which is a 16 day TA.
  4. People still chair hog in Vibe. I've seen them "claim" seats at the bar as well as the regular loungers.
  5. It's very easy to book the shows using the app and the screens onboard. They even tell you how many seats are available. I attended Cool which was a 70s/60's music tribute and it was amazing and the Rock show in the carousel Lounge. It is NOT like a cirque show but still very entertaining. There are a few aerial tricks and the two strong balancing guys are worth the entire price of admission. I missed the rock show in the main theater but I heard that was amazing as well. There was a magic act that performed 2 nights, the Conjurers, I enjoyed them. You should be able to google them to see if you'd like them. They've been on TV a lot.
  6. Maybe I've been fortunate, but my calls to MSC have been fine. I just called today to have my Voyagers number added to the October cruise. Total call time was 7 min 53 seconds.
  7. I know you asked Jaimie but getting an Uber was a mess because GPS coordinates for the terminal don't direct the cars INSIDE. They have to look for the ship and just drive towards it. lol Also, it seems to take you around a big loop if you miss the entrance. It took 2 phone calls to my driver and me basically standing in the street to see him and allow him to see me when he did. I did self walk off around 7:30. Uber shows I placed my order at 8:11 once I was outside. It's never taken me that long to get off a ship.
  8. I was on the 11/19/22 sailing and did not receive any letter.
  9. ah ok. i have to remember that I can get non-alcoholic drinks. I was so disappointed that I had to pay cash for my bloody mary. lol
  10. Mostly the decor. The Manhattan room is the more formal of the 3 and will sometimes allow customers to dance on their dancefloor (ballroom type)
  11. I was on a Bermuda cruise that had 2 overnights. We had to leave early the third morning instead of later that afternoon as scheduled because a storm was coming. The captain announced it the night before. I always wondered how they contacted the people that were staying off of the ship.
  12. Thanks for this. I tried the Aberfeldy 12. It was a little harsh for me but I am not a quitter! I figured I just needed to get used to it. After about the 3rd day of getting a glass to sip before bed, the bartender pulled out a bottle of Aberfeldy 16! Oh it was like liquid heaven (and included in Cheers). I spent the next few hours at the atrium bar sipping on that. I even bought a bottle when I got home. This was on the Sunrise. I never got around to trying the Glenlivet. They said the casino bar probably had it but I wasn't interested enough to make a trek there.
  13. I'm better than you! neener neener neener I dream of how much more awesomer my next cruise will be now that I'm platinum.
  14. I usually stay in the forward 1A cabins on deck 2. The most noise I heard was when the ship crashed through a wave. It was a loud boom but nothing ever woke me out of my sleep. I feel like I'm a normal sleeper, not especially light or heavy. The rest of the noise was like white noise. It definitely wasn't quiet. But nothing I really noticed. I think the sea spray going past my window (like a white out) did more to wake me than any noise. It looked like a flash of light when my eyes were closed.
  15. Jameson, peach schnapps and ginger ale. I think.
  16. Also, if your room isn't ready yet, you wont be able to enter because you won't have a key.
  17. There is an NCL Star cruise 8/15/23 That visits all 3
  18. I spent $7 for a pack of 8 back in 2019. I've more than gotten my money's worth. I fly to my ports and don't attach my cruise luggage tags until after I retrieved my bags from baggage claim or am heading to the port when I check out of my hotel. Until then, I keep the tags (with the cruise tag already inserted) in an easily accessible pocket in my carry-on. I'm not carrying tape or staplers with me to affix them to my luggage, so I wouldn't know how else to do so if I didn't have the plastic tags. And I am not worried at all about them getting accidently damaged during transit. The plastic is very heavy duty.
  19. I enjoy sailing out of NOLA too. It's the only departure city that I plan to stay for additional days. That's why I picked this particular sailing. That and I did get a really good deal for a 7-day sailing, which there aren't many of.
  20. Exactly. I even give them my bigger carry-on tote bag that was my actual plane carry-on. I keep my valuables in my purse. It's much easier to sidle up to the bar with minimal baggage. lol
  21. So I tried rebooking this morning. The only 7 day sailing for the same dates was on the Celebration and apparently a 1A porthole cabin (Glory) is so different from a regular interior that Carnival doesnt consider them to be comparable sailings and they would not honor the same cruise fare. So I cancelled.
  22. I thought ocean blue was amazing. I either get the cioppino or the fillet or the grilled fisherman's platter. Their bread is fantastic.
  23. I have 9 day panama canal cruise in March, RT from Panama. I paid $184 for my ticket through NCL from Philadelphia. Today, the cheapest flight for those dates is $541 for a 21 hour trip. I recently got my flight details. I fly out on Delta at 5:25AM, arriving in Atlanta 7:35AM. I leave ATL 9:35AM and arrive in Panama 1:33PM. My return flight is on Delta leaving 3:24PM and arriving in Miami 7:24PM. I leave Miami 9:00PM and arrive in Philly 11:57PM
