  1. I drive on both sides of the road, I like to live a little dangerously.
  2. It didn't malke me feel any more like Usain bolt or mo farrah though. Sadly.
  3. It's strange you say this because last year on celebrity reflection I would have ordinarily have gone clockwise, but we saw someone running anti clockwise so we followed. But then when you think.about it in athletics they run anti clockwise. So it sort of made sense to.go anti clockwise.
  4. I guarantee if it was Newcastle half of Tyneside would be there. Not sure about Man city fans. I am still expecting the city to be massively more busy than normal. Inter have a huge fan base too. Apologies if I gave then impression I was worried. I most certainly arent.
  5. Lighten up Francis. I am sure it wont spoil my enjoyment. I am delighted Manchester City are there. Even contemplated trying to get tickets. Well one. Her indoors wont go. I have very recent experience as a footy fan, upto and incl being at a match last week. Newcastle Hopefully it all goes off without any incidents. But I would not be the least bit surprised if it didnt.
  6. Yeh I can sort of vouch for this, as I have been on Celebrity Edge which I believe has the same track. You are right about doing it very early too, as some people seem to think its fine to put their deck chairs across it. Or walk hand in hand like they own the road. cant even attempt to walk in single file.
  7. 10 DAYS 10. OMG. When did that happen? It was 250 a few days ago.
  8. So now we know. An team from England versus a team from Italy. I am expecting Istanbul to be rammed. Spoke to a Manchester City fan at work who wasnt impressed that I already have a room booked for Istanbul that night. Hopefully it goes ahead without incident of the type English football supporters are known for.
  9. I tut at folk that do Inadvertent double taps
  10. Planning on staying on the ship in Naples this year. Stayed on the ship last year in Florence. In both cases they are or were the last day of the cruise, and so we just want to chill as the last day is always tragic, and depressing.
  11. already used some on a couple of excursions. the rest will go on a dining experience then whats left gets spent in one of the shops. By her.
  12. We go to some of the shows in the main theatre. But I have to be honest and say I would happily avoid them all. Wife likes them, so I tag along. I would prefer to be sat at an outside bar watching the sea, and relaxing, with a cold beer. The shows just have no appeal to me, in the same way west end/broadway shows dont. I have been known to fall asleep during them, Les miserables being a prime example. Three hours felt like ten.
  13. Booked on the ship last year for this years cruise. I have priced next years two choices on line, and I will getting the same priced up on the ship this year. I am told the prices are cheaper if you book whilst on your cruise, so going to be fun and interesting to compare.
  14. I thought this thread was about an 80s pop band from the UK. I would have been amazed had they been performing on a cruise ship. People coughing over other folk are just selfish and ignorant. But they exist everywhere.
  15. Am I alone in finding this thread weird? I would be way too embarrassed to give a grown up human being a bar of chocolate for basically being my bed maker, servant, personal valet throughout my holiday. Sorry, this thread is too weird.
  16. so on our upcoming cruise, 11 night cruise 2 sea days an overnight in Istanbul, so treating the 2nd day as a sea day. we have booked a few excursions, Istanbul, the other place in Turkey who's name escapes me, Santorini, Athens and Sicily. Last port before Rome, and being dumped off the ship, is Naples. Been there 3 times now, so we may treat this as a sea day also. And we have a port stop in Mykonos, so might not get off there either. that would give us 5 excursion days and 5 sea days. Perfect
  17. This. One million times this. Makes me mad thinking about some of the entitled nasty folk I have encountered even on my short cruising life. I even feel guilty for the poor staff that run around day and night making us feel "special". I grew up and still live in a very working class Northern UK town. I hope I never forget where I came from. And it makes me feel lucky knowing what could have been, when I see we have over 50 foodbanks in this town, and a lot of homelessness.
  18. It probably isnt in your best interest to understand my logic. I heartily accept that sometimes there isnt any. But I can confirm that I have absolutely zero interest in ever going to Israel.
  19. DFDS do a short cruise from North Shields to Amsterdam. I wouldnt recommend it though.
