  1. Like new ships because they are not worn out looking. I wish Celebrity would redo more ships.
  2. I know, we love the Edge class. So we may just stick with them. Thought we may do Silhouette or Reflection but it sounds like Reflection has not had a redo in years. We dislike worn out carpets, furniture, etc so we are also trying to find out what condition Reflection is in.
  3. We are looking to book a Caribbean cruise for Oct/Nov 2024. We have been doing just Edge class ships since they launched and already have Ascent and Xcel booked. Thinking of doing Silhouette or one of the other Solstice class ships. (We have done them in the past) We love the Edge class of ships, wondering if we do a solstice class will we enjoy it as much? So for those of you that cruise a lot and like the Edge class of ships, do you think we will enjoy going back to the older class of ships? I know this is a personal choice but want your opinion on the condition of the solstice class of ships. We usually book an aqua class room or retreat. Thank you!
  4. We ate in Eden on Beyond last week. The dinner was fabulous as was the service. However we won't pay the higher prices, and we won't pay the ridiculous high prices for a Sky Suite. It's just not worth it to us, especially since service on the ship is lacking in some areas.
  5. No surprise strange things have been happening to many. I pre purchased spa appointments for my husband and I. When we went to the spa we had our appointments and after realized they charged us a additional $100. We went to the service desk and they called the spa and got it removed. So glad I had my emails proving what I paid. So watch your spa charges!
  6. Agree! We only have 2 future cruises booked as I am no longer excited about the Celebrity experience.
  7. We were in a magic carpet sky suite Last November no issues. Just got off beyond this week, had a concierge cabin no issues.
  8. We sail on Ascent next April. Any differences other than the art and decor on Ascent vs Beyond?
  9. We just got off Beyond and noticed rooms still being serviced late at night. Also bar service was slow. Seems not enough staff
  10. We all got filet mignon. Mine was perfectly cooked and very easy to cut and tasty.
  11. We always eat early, our meal in Eden was amazing. FC not so much and we did talk with the Maître D and he took care of the steak issues. It can be hit and miss for sure.
  12. I found this on the Celebrity web site Celebrity Select Dining Early and Late on Edge Series We may have reinvented the main restaurant experience, but we haven’t changed the way you plan your dining in our main restaurants. You can choose Celebrity Select Early or Late seating for your dining times, which allows you to enjoy dinner at the same table with the same waiter every evening. You’ll be assigned one of the four main dining restaurants while having the option to dine in the other three upon request. You’ll receive notice in your stateroom on embarkation day for confirmation of your restaurant, table number, and waiter.
  13. They just didn't have enough staff taking drink orders. Same issue sometimes in Eden. Usually we avoid the bars when very crowded. The issue was at all times of day.
  14. We had table #128 assigned to us every night. If we wanted to go to one of the other restaurants they said you can do that, you would just have to ask for a table. We decided having the options of anything off any of the menus' and having the same waiters was great.
  15. No true we just got off of Beyond and had the same table# to ourselves every night.
  16. We did a SS on Beyond last year and loved it. We found Luminae was better for us on Apex, however we ate most of our meals there on Beyond. This cruise we did Concierge as we were traveling with friends, which was fine. With all the critics lately on CC we went with little expectations and were surprised it was great. Hope you enjoy it....
  17. We signed up for 6pm dinner for our cruise that we just got off of. We were assigned the same table #128 in Normandy for the duration of the cruise. We could choose any food items from any of the 4 menus. We did this for 7 of our 9 nights. The other 2 we are at steakhouse and Eden. So you CAN request the same table!
  18. We had no musty smells but we were on deck 11. We had some rough seas on the way and yes we had some creaking however it was on the balcony so we just closed the bifold doors and that helped.
  19. Yes once! They don't honor the free drinks we get as Elite Plus. In addition our group wasn't crazy about their drink menu.
  20. We ate on Apex in the steakhouse and it was amazing. We had 6 of us and all of our steaks were perfect! Sad that it didn't happen this time.
  21. Just did the 9 nite on Beyond. We had sailed her last November. Service was good, except for the bars. That wasn't good especially the Martini bar. Food in main dining way better than we expected. Food choices need to be better. Service was great. Eden was amazing, the steakhouse was just ok, they over cooked one steak and another was grizzly so sent it back. Otherwise was great Shows were amazing we loved them all. The buffet was about the same as last year. So all in all I would rate it a 8.5 out of 10. We travel with another couple and they agreed.
  22. This is all I have read about Ascent and Blu. Meanwhile, guests of the wellness-minded Aqua Class will enjoy the opportunity to dine al fresco for breakfast or dinner in Blu’s new outdoor terrace space.
  23. I agree. I was watching prices also to see if the black Friday sale was real. Same thing, prices are up and I am glad I purchased a cruise when I did. Because now it's more!
  24. We sail Monday out of Ft Lauderdale and received this email from Celebrity. It is extremely important to arrive during your pre-selected arrival time on boarding day. Space in the terminal can only accommodate a specific number of guests, so it's critical that you adhere to your arrival time. Those who arrive sooner will be turned away to avoid an overcrowding of guests at the terminal and asked to return during their scheduled time.
