  1. One of the lower rails in non accessible cabins is removable.
  2. Cruise ships have to keep very strict accurate P H records which are open to inspection by the relevant authorities at all times.
  3. Oh dear that is a shame. I wonder about checking out the accessible cabins in other grades to check this just isn’t a fault in the B C cabin? I know from your posts you are new to Cunard but the cancellation rules are the same as P&O. Queen Victoria is back from Med sailing ex Southampton in the Autumn. I am on an interesting itinerary calling at Tangiers. She is a fabulous ship and you may find her more suitable.
  4. As some who only ever travels solo except once a year , I was interested in your comments about solo dining. I always eat solo and do not ever want to share. I hope that is still the policy to seat solos on a two table when I join her in July. As soon as Britannia opens on embarkation day my first job is to check I have been given a solo table. Only had to have it changed once. I don’t care were it is as long as I am on my own. I always book 2nd sitting. I would rather eat in the buffet if I couldn’t have a table by myself. Thankfully I have never had to do this yet. Will be following your comments on solo cruising with interest. I don’t frequent the bars except Golden Lion for lunch and Chart room during the day.
  5. Couple on my last cruise had two entrees every night. In the end as it was the same wait staff they would come and check nobody else wanted another portion. I always ask for two steaks when it’s surf and turf as I don’t like the lobster or whatever the surf offering is. Never had a problem with that. Have been known to have two desserts if I can’t decide or if it’s hot lemon soufflé.
  6. Known as mal de debarquement and quite common. Hope you feel better soon.
  7. Princess Anne would be a likely contender what do others think? She awarded me my degree many many years ago so I would be happy with that.
  8. I have not had that email but didn’t have anything booked.
  9. I got an upgrade from forward inside to midship sheltered balcony for much less than the original booking price which was over a year earlier . I rang and checked before I bid and my bid was only just over the minimum. Have not tried for next few cruises since I am happy with what I have booked.
  10. Last few times I have sailed in the last 9 months they were adhering to times and asking people to wait if too early.particular for my 14 night TA last August. Off next week but have 13:00 so will be interesting to see what’s what.
  11. Arrive too early and you may be asked to wait in a queue outside of the terminal building. Your boarding pass will be checked on arrival and depending how busy it is and how early you are will either let in or directed to a queue until your time is called.
  12. You always have to re log back in if you don’t use internet for a while. That’s just how it works. The connection is available 24/7 but you are not permanently logged in.
  13. What a lovely idea I will have done 3 by the end of the year but not QE as she is too far away for me as I don’t like flying.
  14. Just checked Holland America’s 3 ships in the same class. They are all showing a similar set up but with 4 cabins. 2x2 side by side, I think we can be sure it is probably something to do with Bridge.
  15. Hopefully it won’t be noisy for you. I have no idea is there if there any availability left on this cruise. I would have liked to have done it but originally the dates didn’t work for me. Certainly I don’t think any of my suggestions would suggest excessive noise above standard levels.
  16. Princess does not come under the Carnival U K umbrella. Only P &O and Cunard are under Carnival UK. Ultimately all brands come under Carnival Corp so in the future Princess may well follow with similar or the same policies in the future.
  17. I have three ideas. 1 it is a row of cabins that are not available for the public to book. There is a run like that on QE which are reserved exclusively for guest entertainers and other hosts etc.. They are shown on deck plans as a large white area. I had the last guest one before the run once and it was fine as you can imagine. 2. It is some kind of crew storage housekeeping area. 3 Looks like Bridge is on deck 8 so may be offices, cabins etc associated with Bridge.( Back in the day before Starlink I had a cabin next to the Bridge and the WiFi was much better than I had ever had before. Even had connection in an inside.)
  18. You have piqued my interest I will take a look.
  19. I have never tried it but probably as one is non alcoholic you will be allowed.
  20. Yes if you are ordering drinks for others with a drinks package you have to show both or all cards if more than 2
  21. I picked a cabin on Q2 that was landscape but when I arrived it was standard portrait layout so not 100% sure that the plans are accurate and this would work to find them,
  22. I like a digestive with cheese. But Rich Tea belongs with a hot drink.
  23. Well judging by the number of sold out voyages I am seeing and limited cabin availability on others I feel plenty of folk are feeling happy to stick with Cunard as myself and my family are across all cabin grades. I have said before a couple of free snacks now being charged for is neither here or there to me. My loyalty brings with it perks which I take full advantage off and enjoy and also save me money which I would have otherwise have had to spend.
  24. I booked at launch and was very pleased with the price.
  25. I shan’t be deserting Cunard for the lack of a few snacks that I don’t eat any way.
