  1. I have stayed in 4114 and had no issues. I am in 4023 in a few weeks time so I will let you know any updates. I love the deck 4 cabins.
  2. If you are on a drink package you can only have order one drink at a time of course I know if you are paying you can order what you like for whom you like.
  3. You can only order one drink at a time I have never been allowed to have more then one at one time. I cannot imagine they would let you have 6 in one go without charge.
  4. Yes I have definitely had them lidded on P and 0 too I have only ever had the packages on both lines when I was not on my own and knew the friends I were with were big drinkers. I wouldn’t ever buy it when I was I my own as I just would not get the value from it. I just pay as I go now. One of my daughters always sails QG so has plenty included and my other daughter and husband love cocktails beer and Prosecco so always win out on the package.
  5. If I recall you can request them unopened to take away. I am not sure about 15 min rule and how tightly it is imposed.
  6. I am booked on that cruise fab itinerary with some new ports for me.
  7. I am weighing up the QV one but might be a bit rough that time of year
  8. I have just booked first cruise with Princess as friends have persuaded me to join them . Booked through TA and bank statement shows Princess
  9. I found it too but it said cruise was British Isles
  10. I am looking forward to my trip in July.I have not read or seen anything that makes me doubt I won’t have a good time unless the weather is dire but Cunard can’t be blamed for that.
  11. I have done the fjords on QM2 Iona and Britannia. The itineraries were very similar. I prefer the ambience of Cunard but had an equally lovely time on all 3 ships.
  12. There can still be long queues to get off.In spite of being asked to wait in your cabin until yourallocated time, many ignore their given time and just join the huge snaking queues around whatever deck is being used. Also the cabin stewards are not too chuffed with people still in their cabin as late as 9 50. I am rarely in a rush to leave so after breakfast go back to my cabin to pick my bags up and just wait in a lounge or outside until the queue has died down.
  13. I am not on until July but if you get no joy before then could help.
  14. I would always choose a sheltered balcony for transatlantic crossings and short trips as when the weather is bad they are still usable, I find the cheaper cost a plus point too, if you just want fresh air an obstructed balcony is a good cheaper option.
  15. I have seen people being asked to wait outside If they are too early at Mayflower on Cunard. I have had my boarding pass checked for time at the door but am still annoyed when at 12 45 the person in front of you at security has a considerably later time as they have been let in. As you say controversial but seems fair if policed properly.
  16. A lady after my own heart. I pack 2 dresses for every cruise day plus a couple of extras In case I have changed my mind regarding my original choices, and two for travelling. Packing is very easy and split them over my cases. As I won’t wear them again I pack them away after I have worn them to save on packing last day.
  17. Yes we had 48( I think )hours to pay for our upgrade. I was surprised as we had given credit card details . Would be easy to miss email informing us of upgrade and need to pay promptly. It was way before 21 days out of sailing too.
  18. There were people walking past but they didn’t bother me. Balcony was quite big. Didn’t notice people staring over
  19. The up charges in Golden Lion are for certain new signature menu items. All the usual favourites are still included with no extra charge plus new included additions. Those new items are unique to Queen Anne and nor currently available fleet wide
  20. They run them they are not independent like the shops or the spa
  21. I ended up with a deck 8 cabin. Amazing great value. Right at the front so had 180 degree views. As others have said most people giving their negative two penny worth have never been on Iona let alone deck 8. Would be happy to have one again.
  22. Definitely only one per cabin. My daughter and I hold enough shares in our own right. We could only claim on my account and received one allowance on my card.
  23. Did you ask what has happened to the cabin on your original booking form. Did your T A definitely book you a Cunard fare with your chosen cabin number? I just don’t understand how your original cabin could not be available? If it was a guaranteed cabin I could understand there could be an imbalance. I have never heard of this before and I think I would want more evidence from T A what was actually originally booked. I am someone who would take a downgrade for the appropriate financial consideration. Cabins are allocated around 3 weeks out for guarantees so shouldn’t discover so late that Cunard Fares have no cabins. Presumably you booked a while ago.
  24. The mattress folds in if I remember. Certainly wasn’t a big thick one.
