  1. On our last cruise for suite guests - none. Regular folk - none. For me - good to check off getting a job done.
  2. Bookings are down compared to historic norms. That is what determines cruise fares (airlines too). BK is another completely different thing. If one knew if stock prices would go up.or down they could become a millionaire. Again BK would not really effect passengers, only stock and bond holders.
  3. What does it show on your booking invoice? Do you have an email confirming your order? If you put it in your shopping cart and did not complete payment and checkout this is what it looks like
  4. Was on Summit recently. People are moving steadily to the Sky Lounge at 5pm more and more. It was mostly full by the end of our cruise. The difference is only no canapés and all can attend
  5. There are dozens of threads on this. Pretty much if you need to ask "Can we make it?", there is a possibility you won't. Dozens of variables including if you are capable and willing to carry you baggage off, ship on schedule, CBP doing a strict check to weather. I can answer your question - You can make your flight. You might not. PS seeing you are flying internationally. . . much less likely.
  6. Your big box TA has a long history of incomplete/incorrect booking issues. Celebrity ALWAYS issues a booking confirmation with all the details. You just don't have yours. This is why you talk to agents to have things done properly.
  7. If you want to change simply as on board. Fixed dining easy especially 2nd seating. Anytime is full at some times and nearly empty at others. Looking at all of your posts- think you need to relax and not try to micromanage things that are not likely a problem.
  8. We need to move on. There are no cabins being held back by Celebrity. Ships have however many people have booked. Summit recently was at 97% of capacity with crew short staffed about 250.
  9. Since it is a new operator you have no real idea. Shore excursions are mostly new. Suggest you visit the port threads and also look at tours you could book direct. Then ask some questions of the operators.
  10. Agree. If people feel the service provided is "substandard" and the pricing is not reasonable then bookings will drop significantly. Today what I would describe as reduced services are pretty much in line with what has happened with the transportation and food industries in general. Thus the choice today is stay home or recalibrate one's expectations. Things have changed and not just for Celebrity.
  11. Forte is in business and appears to have production issues as many flavors are not currently available.
  12. The ocean moderates the weather. Never cold. Obviously weather and temps in the UK can be anything. April and October about the same in our experience on 5 TAs.
  13. TAs often have group blocks. You need to go through them. I found some agents with EX to be great and others awful.
  14. You also with a good TA can get a significant amount of OBC. There are good TAs and poor ones. Call a few and ask some questions. Mine finds group fares that get perks at the cruise only rate, refundable deposit and up to about 8-10% in refundable OBC
  15. There are several HUNDRED threads on testing including the sticky at the top of the forum. Proctored tests can be done from anywhere and are about $15-$20. A friend did their OnPoint test while flying (at 36000') across the Atlantic Ocean. We did ours on an island off the coast of Iceland. Yes, OnPoint was hacked but back up.and rumming a couple hours later. ANY government approved test will be accepted by Celebrity- US, Canada or Argentina or South Africa. And yes you need to give basic personal information. How else do you get test results that are yours? A driver's license suffices.
  16. Comped, TA rates and other rates not available to the public do not qualify. The policy is available online if you want to look.
  17. As said send the email to special_needs@rccl.com Have done this a dozen times. You can also call Celebrity. The concierge reps want to help but they need to go through about 5 steps to do what you can do with one email. One can also make the request when you make your booking if made directly with Celebrity
  18. Not sure how high on the "get it fixed" list paper cups vs mugs rise. Think Celebrity is trying to source food, liquor and employees.
  19. Absolutely. Years ago the amount of food left on plates to be thrown out was staggering. Shrimp cocktails with 8 shrimp were half eaten. Today they serve with 3 or 4. Great. Want 8 or 12 or16? They will bring them to you. Just ask. Ask for quality, we recently noticed cheaper cuts of meat and fish. Disappointed in being served 1/2" thick steaks. Would rather have a smaller but thicker piece. Miss the halibut etc. But understand the reason.
  20. How do you suggest that Celebrity do that? Have 2 call centers nearby in Tucson. Both have had turnover reach 200% a year. 4X that of precovid. They also are stuffed at about 75%. Everyone is in the same situation. I found an excellent TA a while ago. They can provide the service you are requesting. You just need to find one.
  21. No difference than with the proctored tests using your phone. If you think about it they were actually on the honor system too. On our Iceland cruise we were asked to show photos of covid cards, then asked if we had negative covid test results. Said yes
  22. If booking in the shoulder season or live where you can get to the port easily and are not picky about your cabin - wait till the last minute. Middle of July etc then book immediately. The key is to book paying a price that makes you happy. No way to predict future prices. You already said what usually happens.
  23. An enhanced DL on a closed loop Caribbean cruise is fine until something goes wrong. Sickness out of the US. An accident or ?? Then you are dealing with the US Embassy. Not for me.
  24. The proper question is how much is Aqua class worth to you? Factoring is the AI fares consider - Need a few extra Captain's Club points to reach the next tier? Is the spa benefit for you or not? Do you think Blu is worth some?? For us Blu is worth about $75-100 a day each. The rest have little of no importance to DW and self. There are no downsides that I am aware.
  25. And the Panama Canal just changed its requirements this week. Cannot count on things staying the same. . . . . or on board.
