  1. Will you still pay the extra $$$ for a Haven next time?
  2. I think you're wrong. It would take a whole lot more than this to shift most of us from cruises to land.
  3. Based upon my experience, no. Your name, ship and reservation number hasn't changed, so you can print an Avery label with the new room number and location and still use those elusive NCL official tags so that your fellow cruisers will be in awe (unless they're more focused on how much you are tipping the porter 🤣).
  4. I want to hear all about the musicians in Brewhouse, Observation Lounge and Atrium!! Please tell us the good, bad and ugly! 😎 (some of us will be on the Bliss VERY soon)
  5. It is about profit margin. The cruise lines are a business and they need a positive profit margin to survive. I can live with a few years of less pampering if it means I'll be able to enjoy cruising the rest of my life. And no, I'm not about to take it out on my over-worked room steward by stiffing him/her on an additional gratuity.
  6. Some look pricey. Most don't. Which ship/sailing are you looking at?
  7. I got one of those. It's ironic because I've taken four NCL cruises since the restart.
  8. Yeah, I would agree with this too. I like packing cubes, but we already have an ample supply that match our luggage. I could probably sell them on the internet for about $5.
  9. If you're in Texas, it would likely be 11:00 PM, not midnight.
  10. I've never seen it reported that a person took multiple excursions but only received one $50 credit. Did this happen to you?
  11. I do both. I book some placeholders for dining and shows when they open up. It is really easy to cancel/reschedule once on the ship.
  12. Normal beer? Some/many would disagree. That's okay. Different strokes for different folks.
  13. Very nice!! I'll be following along. Encore is one of my three favorites.😎 It's nice to hear that whatever bonehead was in charge decided that the East restrooms needed to be open. Why were they closed at times? A mystery that may never be solved....
  14. Did the connecting balconies have an inside door between them?
  15. Yep. The elusive East RR, that is often roped off so that some of us can only dream of it and read tales on the internet. 🤣
  16. Yes. That's the ones. When I embarked in January they had it roped off, but some folks were just going around the ropes. Then they had an Agent stand there and stop people from going around the ropes. Then the Agent was gone and there were more rope dodgers. I think @BirdTravelsposted a good photo showing the ropes in place on another thread when we last discussed it. Thank you. Please let us know.😎
  17. Back? Are you talking about the East end ones that are typically roped off? We need more info. Your report is not consistent with what others have posted.
  18. Likely true in most specialty restaurants, but with notable exceptions (i.e. we've had three people share one SD credit at Food Republic). I know you know this @BirdTravels, just clarifying for the other poster.
  19. You're right. I totally missed that, but they really didn't communicate to me that this was anything special. Like I said, it wouldn't have made a bit of difference. Most of don't make our cruise plans based upon when some 10% off deal is waved in front of us.
  20. Yep. We were on the last Encore AK sailing in Oct 2021. We had proper snow in Glacier Bay. It was FANTASTIC. I was out on the pool deck enjoying the snow with about a dozen crew members (hopefully none of them got a "talkin' to"). I would love to experience that again. Who knows? Maybe folks on this cruise will. 😎
  21. I find it ironic that they blessed all of us with that strange, one of a kind, April 16 10% off coupon but this thread is the first time I've ever seen that it is to be some type of "special" Latitudes event. That said, it certainly would not have made any difference in my cruise planning.
  22. Strange? Perhaps. STUPID? <<<THIS It would be slightly less annoying if they hadn't built this monstrosity as some type of architectural wonder. I would gladly trade that best-in-class architecture for a proper bathroom. Especially if my free hotel breakfast burrito is starting to haunt.🤮
  23. Everything was first come first served on my January sailing. They open the doors about 30 minutes before the shows. Pro tip: if you are in some other show just before a theater show, leave five minutes early. I think we were in something in the Bliss Lounge and when it ended, there was a literal stampede to the theatre. To the best of my knowledge, no cruisers were injured. 😎
  24. There are also restrooms right before you enter security, which means you have to have somebody hold your place in the long line while you use them. In addition, there are some at the East end of the terminal that they rope off at times for reasons we can't figure out. But, so far as the general waiting area, there is one men's room and one women's room with a single toilet each.
