  1. Oh dear! We stayed there last time and I was planning on booking there for our November cruise. May have to move to the Crowne Plaza instead. Makes you wonder what else has been left in the room that you may not see. As well as how clean the room really is.
  2. She’s our favorite as well. We love the Hollywood Pool/Conservatory area which is unique to the Majestic. I wish more royal class ships had this covered area. It’s such a relaxing place to hang out on the ship. I don’t care for the outdoor pool as the MUTS is too loud (I’m not that old) and not relaxing. I am disappointed to hear that the Hollywood Pool is no longer adults only as this was another benefit for us of this area.
  3. I have my cat sitter email me a photo everyday of our fur baby. I need my daily cat fix!
  4. Uber driver with a suspended license….wow!!! I hope he was just playing with you and making stuff up.
  5. @arctickitty Sure hope you’ve made it to LA by now! Wishing you a safe and fun-filled cruise! Thanks for taking us to Hawaii with you.
  6. We are considering a B2B on Princess but we will need to switch cabins as our preferred category is not available on the second part of the cruise. Several years ago we did a B2B on Royal Caribbean and our stateroom steward moved all our hanging clothes in the closet to our new stateroom. We just had to pack our stuff from the drawers in our suitcases and the suitcases were moved for us along with the hanging clothes. Does anyone have experience (post COVID) in switching cabins on Princess and how they handle moving your things to a new cabin? I’m hoping we don’t have to pack all the hanging clothes and that they do something similar to our experience with RC. Thanks is advance for any experiences you can share.
  7. Agree with @Sea Hagwe would go with the Enchanted (newer ship) and book one of the Fab Four cabins if available (M6) on Marina or Lido.
  8. @PMGS247 We were in Cabo last Tuesday on the Royal Princess. We did not see any whale activity on the tender ride from the ship to the shore. It’s a quick ride and as others have said I don’t think you’d see any whales in this area. However sailing away from Cabo there was a lot of whale activity and the Captain made an announcement that they could be seen on the Starboard side of the ship. Our cabin was on the Starboard side and we got some amazing photos. If your wife doesn’t want to see them then it would be best if she didn’t go out on a balcony or open deck when sailing away from Cabo. I got to see my first whale breach and we got a couple amazing photos. Saw lots of spouts, one whale tail, and one slapping his/her pectoral fin on the water.
  9. Yikes, this is horrible and I’m so sorry to hear this happened on your cruise. Yes we were lucky. I did know about the milk running out on your cruise and I thought it might be continuing on ours as the first day I ordered a latte with skim milk and was told they didn’t have skim milk. However they must have loaded some onto the ship as after the first day it was available. Did you request any compensation from Princess for running out of food and drinks midway through your cruise? In my book I think they owe you something, although after that experience you may not want to get on another Princess ship again.
  10. What is your friend’s label called? I’m going to be in Hawaii twice this year so I’ll look for it and get a shirt for DH when I’m there.
  11. Remember back in the day when you had to fill out a form asking if you had any gastrointestinal issues prior to boarding your cruise? I guess Princess doesn’t care about those issues any more since they just ask about COVID symptoms.
  12. Happy Sailing! I’m looking forward to following along on your journey. The Majestic is my favorite ship!
  13. There is no more boarding pass and I think boarding couldn’t be easier! We are just off the Royal Princess yesterday. For check-in all they wanted was one of us to scan our medallion and show both passports. Took about 2 minutes total. They didn’t ask to see my QR code or my travel summary. My phone and travel summary stayed in my bag throughout the check-in process. I will still always have these items with me but when I check in now I will only have my medallion and passport out.
  14. We were just on the Royal from 1/31-2/10 and the wellness check was no longer in the app. This was a Mexican Riviera cruise. The only “wellness check” that was done was to ask if we had any COVID symptoms 5 days before our boarding date. We both said “no” and that was it. We were also on a cruise from SF to Ensenada in November and had the same thing. No wellness check in the app and just asked if we had any symptoms when we boarded.
  15. We did a tour in Santa Barbara last April that we would recommend. It was called Santa Barbara & Los Olivos: California's Riviera, Food And Wine. It had a nice variety of stops during the day and we loved the visit to the Saarloos + Sons Winery in Los Olivos. If this tour is offered on your sailing we would highly recommend it.
  16. We found it very easy to switch between devices on our cruise this past week. In the past we’ve upgraded to the 4 device plan but this time we didn’t. Glad we saved the money and didn’t this time because it was so easy to switch back and forth between iPhone and iPad. DH was switching between and iPhone and laptop.
  17. We just disembarked the Royal Princess today. This morning at breakfast they were out of watermelon and fruit flavored yogurt in the MDR. This was the only missing items we were aware of.
  18. We just got off the Royal Princess today. We have iPhones, texting and phone calls worked great. I was surprised at how clear the 2 calls were that I made onboard. I didn’t try FaceTime but since streaming on the ship was limited I wouldn’t count on being able to use FaceTime.

  20. Thanks for more pictures of the fur babies. We took our cat in before we left for our cruise (currently on the Royal) and it felt good for her to get a clean bill of health before we left. She’s almost 15 and her tests all came back negative. .
  21. Our cabin was in a great location for sailing away from Cabo yesterday. Had a great view of El Arco and the whales from the starboard side of the ship.
  22. Fun day in Cabo yesterday. Our travel agency has a condo in Cabo with a lovely view of the ocean. They hosted a fiesta there yesterday with lots of great food and fairly weak margaritas. Enjoyed the mariachi music and meeting other people with our group (166 total this trip). Next we took a taxi to Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina. It was packed and we had a bit of a wait to get in. We just went for drinks and they were strong! Made up for the weak margaritas at the fiesta. Finally wandered through the Mercado near the pier before taking the water shuttle back to the ship.
