  1. Corrine is definitely on the ship now….we call her Sparkle. If I see her around I’ll ask if she’ll be on the next sailing and if not who will be taking her place.
  2. We are also on this cruise and are enjoying it so far. The internet is working better for us this time than it did on our November 2022 cruise on the same ship. I suspect it’s because this sailing is at 77% capacity and the November sailing was at 109% capacity. @LadyL1I know you said in our roll call you have CC dining but I haven’t met you yet. What time do you go down for lunch and dinner? We have been sitting at tables covered by Samuel and Maria as we really like them.
  3. I wonder if the benefit is only available on 2023 cruises. Our cruise where it’s been applied is November 2023.
  4. So happy to find your current Live thread as I love your humor and writing style. Happy ##th birthday, which is really the new 40. I’m just a few months behind you in May (also having a birthday that rhymes with mixty). My deal is to wake up in Hawaii on my actual birthday whenever it ends in a zero so this year I’ll be in my happy place on Kauai. It makes big birthdays so much easier to slide into. Thanks for taking us along and have a great cruise!
  5. If you are getting an 8% discount from your TA that’s great. You are getting a very good deal then. We don’t get any discount from ours which is why I’ve started using a CVP instead. It seems the CVP is able to get us re-fared if the prices go down where our TA hasn’t been able to do this for us in the past. I agree that it would be wrong to book through a CVP and then transfer the booking to a TA. I’m loyal to the person who does the initial booking and I want them to get the commission.
  6. I don’t understand why some at Princess know how to apply this to a cruise and some don’t. It makes no sense. Are you contacting Customer Service or are you working with a Vacation Planner? Mine was done through a Vacation Planner. At first he wasn’t able to get the promotion to come up for the reservation but he worked on it for a couple days behind the scenes and was eventually able to get it applied. I also have a TA that I will use depending on the cruise and I doubt that they would have been successful in getting this for our booking. I think the only reason it happened for us is because we used our Vacation Planner this time. If you haven’t tried to book your cruise through a Vacation Planner I’d suggest trying that route instead of Customer Service.
  7. We booked and paid for the Plus package but our confirmation has the following confirmation: This promotion includes Princess Premier; Gsts 1&2 will receive the following: *PREMIER BEVERAGE PACKAGE with SERVICE CHARGE included for guests 21 years old or older. Those under 21 will receive the Premier Coffee & Soda Package. *WI-FI is unlimited for guest 1 & 2 in the cabin, four devices per guest. *CREW APPRECIATION is pre-paid by Princess Cruises for guest 1 & 2 in the cabin *PREMIUM DESSERTS*JUICE BAR*FITNESS CLASSES (Unlimited for duration of voyage) *SPECIALTY DINING (2 Nights) *PREMIER PHOTO PKG *PRINCESS PRIZES *FREE MEDALLION SHIPPING *MEDALLION ACCESSORY *RESERVED THEATER SEATING We normally pay for the Plus package but are happy to try the Premier package since it didn’t cost anything additional. I’m most interested in the 2 nights of specialty dining, reserved theater seating, and the photo package. Not at all interested in the premium desserts, fitness classes or Princess prizes.
  8. @PescadoAmarillo Thank you so much for your original post!!! My husband is a veteran and as a result of you posting this offer we were able to have it applied to a cruise we booked today. We never would have known about this benefit if you hadn’t posted it so just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated you posting this on the boards. Especially since it seems Princess is keeping this top secret and not posting it on their website.
  9. We booked a cruise for Thanksgiving on the Discovery today and our CVP was able to apply the promotion to our reservation. My husband qualifies for the veterans benefit so we are both getting the premier package for the price of the plus package and he also gets the $100 OBC for a 7 day cruise. The cruise we booked isn’t one of the cruises listed in post #137.
  10. @arctickitty I love your kitty pics. Thanks for sharing. We are leaving for our next cruise on 1/31 and our little girl isn’t going to be happy when the suitcases come out this weekend.
  11. I haven’t been able to find this promotion on the Princess website. Has anyone been able locate this promotion on the website? If so would you please post where you found it? TIA
  12. I don’t see this dessert on the menu. Was this an extra dessert for CC dining? What an amazing experience to see the whale breaching just outside your window. I’ve seen many whales over the years but never had the opportunity to see one actually breach.
  13. Following along. Thanks for including photos of your fur babies. They are so cute!
  14. We really enjoy CC dining and do recommend it. The only time we don’t book it is when we are sailing with others who don’t have it and then we just book a regular mini-suite. We like the flexibility of being able to walk in and be seated without making reservations. The service has always been outstanding and we like the extra meal options that are offered.
  15. We’ve sailed in L107 on the Majestic and the Royal and we love the M6 cabins. They feel like a full-suite cabin because of the layout and the very large wrap around balcony. We really enjoyed the large balcony on our thanksgiving cruise because the Royal was at 109% capacity so I could lay out on our balcony and not have to deal with all the people at the pool. I like the proximity of these cabins to the adult pool area and DH likes the proximity to the buffet. We will book these cabins every cruise if one is available. We’ve got L107 booked again on the Royal for the 1/31 sailing.
  16. Majestic Princess ~ CA Coast ~ April 2022 (7 days) Royal Princess ~ Thanksgiving Cruise/SF to Ensenada ~ November 2022 (4 days)
  17. Wow that’s great news!!! Thanks for the update. We have another cruise in November where we didn’t buy a package and now we will be able to use our OBC to purchase the Plus package. I also like that you most likely won’t have to pay the cost for the insurance like you do now when you book a package before you cruise. Will save another 8%!
  18. No. The Plus and Premier packages have to be purchased before boarding the ship. You can’t purchase them once you are on the ship. We tried in November and the answer was “no”.
  19. We have T-Mobile as well and love it for traveling! When we get to a port and are still on the ship we turn off airplane mode AND Princess WiFi. Our phones on T-Mobile have always worked great for us while in port and recently much better than the internet we’ve had on the ship.
  20. We discovered the wildlife area when we were heading back to the ship and it was a treat! We hadn’t seen any monkeys on our sailing and Cartagena was our last port stop. We finally got our fill of monkeys in the wildlife area. So much fun to watch.
