    The other option is to stay at a hotel near SFO and then take Uber to the pier in the morning. The hotels at the airport are generally cheaper than the hotels in the city like the Hyatt.

    A 3rd vote for the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero. It’s the only place I would stay that is close to the ship.

    We’ve also done the online proctored test just after midnight and had no problem getting on this ship.

    It was adults only when we were on it in April 2022 and August 2021.

    I would pick the Majestic because it has the Hollywood Conservatory (no charge) with some great forward views. I also love the Hollywood pool on the Majestic as it’s indoors and heated. Also like that it’s quiet and for adults only.

    Yes if everything goes perfectly but it’s a risk if there is any delay in letting people off the ship. I’d probably risk it since it’s a Southwest flight. If you miss it you can just catch the next available flight and just pay the fare difference if any. I love SWA because of their flexibility.

    We did the Kroschel tour last September and would recommend it. Here are a few photos from our visit. The highlight of the day for me was getting to bottle feed a baby porcupine.

    You can also grab a couple pool towels and use them to block the lights under the nightstands. As stated above just ask your cabin steward to tape over the sensor light in the ceiling.

    @TracieABDFor me if I do laundry on the ship I stay on the same floor for both washer and dryer. I don’t do laundry on one floor and then take stuff to another floor to dry. If no dryers available after I’ve finished with the wash I wait patiently in the laundry room (with my iPad) until a dryer is available. So I guess for me the washing machine and dryer go together.

    And it looks so clean. The camps we see in Northern CA look like dumps with garbage everywhere.

    Very sorry to hear you both tested + and very surprised to hear you are in your original cabin. You are the first case I’ve heard about on Princess where they didn’t move you to the quarantine section on the ship. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you are getting everything you need delivered to your cabin in a timely manner.

    We’ve had evening turndown service on 4 cruises since the restart. 2 cruises on Majestic (full-suite & CC mini-suite). 2 cruises on Sky (both in a mini-suite). I would certainly be asking questions if the cabin steward told me they couldn’t do evening turn down service because of the CDC.
