  1. Yes “shower gel” in French might make some wonder what exactly this product is to be used for.
  2. I’m not on the Sapphire. I posted a photo that an Elite passenger posted on the Live thread for the current sailing. According to the cabin steward these are being given to Elite passengers on the Sapphire. I’m thinking they still had a supply of these available on the Sapphire and will give them to Elites on the Sapphire until they run out. I don’t think they are giving them out on other ships. We only got them once and it was on the Majestic in August 2021 just after cruising resumed. After that there was “nada”.
  3. @travelin.sisters This is what Elite passengers are receiving on the Sapphire.
  4. From what has been reported by several posters the coffee card/package is no longer available. If you see it available online you should probably purchase it now as it is being discontinued across the fleet. I just checked our next 2 cruises on the Discovery and the pre-paid coffee card is not available. I think the coffee card was discontinued as of 2/20/23 when Princess made changes to pricing and options for their beverage packages.
  5. Are you in a full suite? We only received these when we were in a full suite.
  6. I’m not sure. We cruised in November and February and I didn’t see an option to purchase it internet for a day at a time. The app only gave me the option to purchase it for the duration of the cruise. Perhaps if you visited the Internet Cafe on the ship you could purchase one day at a time but again I’m not sure if this option is available.
  7. Internet is $15/day for one device & $40/day for 4 device plan. If you have Elite or Platinum status then you get a 50% discount so then it’s $7.50/day for one device & $20/day for 4 device plan.
  8. BTW…if you like monkeys and parrots you should go to Gumbalimba Preserve in Roatan. You’re really get up close and personal with the monkeys who are very friendly. We went in November 2021 and it was one of my fondest memories for years of cruising.
  9. Thank you for taking us along on your journey. I took my first cruise in 1986 when I was 23 so I’m enjoying reading about your experience now and reflecting back on my experience then. A lot has changed in 37 years!
  10. The time in Puerto Vallarta (first port stop) is 2 hours ahead of California.
  11. Wish they would let you pick your accessory. Come on Princess give us a choice!!! In the meantime I’ve ordered this one for our next cruise. https://www.amazon.com/Case-Mate-TWINKLE-Keychain-AirTag-Stardust/dp/B09KCMDT6D/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1LG9JYL33VMEV&keywords=case+mate+airtag&qid=1678144671&sprefix=Case+mate+a%2Caps%2C234&sr=8-4 It will go nicely with some of my Swarovski crystal lanyards from my working days. I’m glad I found a use for them after I retired.
  12. I look forward to your report on the PCC. I’ve only been there once and it was 30 years ago. I think I’d like to go again if we take a cruise to Hawaii.
  13. Happy 40th anniversary!!!! Hope you are both enjoying your cruise.
  14. Great topic! My first cruise was in 1986 and it was fun to reflect on then and now. Here’s my list of what’s gotten better. 1.Muster drill 2. Affordable beverage packages with gratuities and Wi-Fi included 3. Balcony cabins. Back in 1986 there were few cabins with balconies. Most exterior cabins just had windows or portholes. I love that the ships of today offer mostly balcony cabins. 4. Unlimited internet 5. Medallions 6. Princess beds 7. Tub/shower combo in mini-suites 8. Auto gratuities 9. Digital photos instead of printed photos (not all ships yet) 10. Club class dining 11. Alfredo’s/Gigi’s pizzeria 12. International Cafe 13. Having a morning vanilla latte delivered to my room every morning and enjoying it on my balcony. 14. No smoking on balconies 15. Production shows 16. Retreat and wake view pools 17. Forward facing M6 mini-suites (the Fab Four cabins) on Royal class ships
  15. What is the price for the 360 experience?
  16. I believe the internet being good or bad is in direct correlation to the ship’s capacity. In November we were on the Royal and ship was at 109% capacity = internet was horrible. In February we were on the Royal and ship was at 75% capacity = internet was very good.
  17. If you have the ship’s WI-FI internet then you’ll be able to receive phone calls and texts. We’ve done 2 cruises from SF to Mexico in the last 4 months.
  18. So are you saying when you place your bid they charge your card immediately? Or do they wait and charge it once you are confirmed that you’ve gotten an upgrade.
  19. @travelin.sistersI’m sorry you are missing the MDR lunch today. I also feel like vacation has started as soon as I’m seated in the MDR on embarkation day.
