  1. I've had it, I don't remember it being remarkable or bad either. Sailing in a couple of weeks, if I get an opportunity and remember I will report back.
  2. Did "John Smith" work for Virgin or were they a travel agent? I only know of having a direct contact at Virgin if you have a casino connection.
  3. The answer to that depends on what country your passport is from and what countries you are visiting. Considering you have a US visa I'm presuming you are sailing out of Miami on a closed loop (returning to Miami). Most of the Caribbean islands are pretty easy going for cruise passengers. If you're concerned, find the entry requirements for each country for your nationality.
  4. Yep, this seems to new and specific to Miami. You have to talk to a person in the terminal, can't be done in the app. I think in a review here recently someone was complaining about the non-stop announcements for it in the terminal.
  5. I heard on another unnamed site that you can buy bar tabs in Miami at the port before boarding the ship so that might be an option now if you need to wait until last minute on an upgrade bid.
  6. Only Another Rose is extra ($50/person when we last sailed). That price includes several cocktails and essentially bottomless sparkling wine. Both Another Rose and Persephone are incredible and both include circus style acts. The live singing at Another Rose was fantastic.
  7. Duel Reality was replaced by Persephone on Resilient Lady in the red room, Another Rose replaced Ship Show the Manor. Another Rose is a significantly better show than Ship Show and the menu is also much, much better.
  8. Apparently you have not had the pleasure of using Princess' new app.
  9. The cabana bar tab and the purchased bar tab will be applied to your account when you get on the ship. If you burn through it before you get to your cabana then it's gone. In other words, the $100 isn't going to be held back until you get to your cabana. Same thing goes doe the $300. If you haven't used all of the purchased bar tab it will still apply in the cabana.
  10. In all of our sailings the ship has always been US currency. The casino did exchange Euro bank notes for chips when we sailed out of Barcelona but they said they only cash out in US.
  11. Never been on Celebrity but I would guess Sip as the closest to a martini bar.
  12. Godfather at Extra Virgin followed very closely by The Old Sport at Razzle Dazzle.
  13. There is no separation of the bar tabs between cabana and something you bought pre-voyage, nor would it matter since it is just dollars towards drinks. On our latest voyage the premium WiFi was $25/day if you bought for the whole voyage or $30 for 24 hours.
  14. Im not familiar with in room dining as a rock star, but as far as restaurants go there is no limit to how often you can eat at the same restaurant. There is a limit of how many reservations you can make in advance based on your cruise length, but once onboard anything goes if you can get in.
  15. Nothing will replace the original Razzle pasta, but the malfaldine pasta now offered is unbelievably good (and its vegan)
  16. Seafood boil is crawfish, mussels, clams, sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, and bread rolls. The broth is good and not what I would call spicy, just flavorful.
  17. My experience was similar. Much better off with the chilled seafood platter at Wake or the seafood boil at Razzle.
  18. RIP the Razzle pasta at RD. 😥 I think they are releasing much more inventory in advance then originally. In Miami rockstars can connect to ship WiFi in the terminal, not sure about other ports.
  19. Ship Show on Scarlet was replaced with LOL comedy club, haven't seen it but I guess its not great as the comedians repeat their performance from elsewhere on the ship and the quality of comedians can very greatly. Another Rose is by far our favorite with Persephone a close second and then Duel and Untitled. Mind Mangler was terrible, left after 10 minutes. We thought Miss Behave was pretty good (originated in Vegas) but apparently is highly dependent on the cast. I kept falling asleep at Ships in the Night and all I recall is a giant iPhone so need to see that again. Lola's Library was cut down from 3 one hour long segments to a single 90 minute presentation but we did not get to see either version, apparently the single seating has improved the flow greatly.
  20. Yeah, curious as well as when we have gone once you get inside the Manor it's about 30 minutes or so of mingling before being seated. Makes me think there was some type of issue that delayed the show start.
  21. Another Rose is by far the best show in the fleet. I know it is controversial because it is a paid show (if you drink it is worth the cost for the included drinks).
  22. Still and sparkling water are made and poured onboard, there is no bottled water. Not sure about the others except that I have had loose lead tea from Grounds Club, I think it was called jasmine cloud. Not sure of the brand however.
  23. If you picked a specific room type you should have been assigned a cabin number at booking (it shows before you even confirm the purchase). I would call or chat VV and see what they say.
  24. On a voyage my wife found a unique wine at The Wake so we started going there every night before dinner to get a drink and then go to wherever dinner was. On the second occasion the server happened to be a sommelier who told us we could just go to dinner and ask our server to call him and he'd happily bring it over (and he did).
  25. Typically the Athletic Club (deck 16 aft) or Social Club (deck 7 mid) show sports. They sometimes show them on the cabin TV as well.
