  1. I’ve not done it myself (there is so much food for free I don’t see the point) but others have reported it comes from bar tab.
  2. It’s more of a brunch menu and yes it is fancier. There is pork belly Benedict, steak and eggs but also banana French toast and some other dishes I can’t remember. Walk in can be possible but it’s best to make reservations to guarantee you’ll get in.
  3. I think the full Galley options is from 6.30 to 11am with the diner counter 24 hours. Also Razzle Dazzle will be open around 7am to 1pm for breakfast/brunch and the Wake 8am to 1pm for brunch. The Galley does limited options 11-12 and then re-opens for lunch 12-4, then there is a limited dinner service from 6pm.
  4. Anything you can charge to your room will come from loot credit. If you are using onboard credit for the casino you will get promotional credit/chips that can’t be cashed out, to stop people turning promotional loot straight into cash. You have to gamble it and then winnings can be cashed out. If you have any bar tab then drinks will get charged to that first and if it runs out then loot and then to the credit card when that’s gone too. Ive seen mixed reports about corkage, most people who bring their own wine just drink it in the room or pour to a glass first to avoid getting charged.
  5. You’ll see some in the app but it might not be completely clear until onboard and the full schedule loads. you can’t pay for any activity from bar tab. It can only be used for drinks plus afternoon tea. Some of the paid for activities that come from loot are; Grog Walk Painting and boozy bevvies Loteria Bingo Shot for Shot (food photography) Whats the (Jojo) Tea (class about tea) Rice Rice Baby (sushi making) Beyond Tequila Mix it Up Behind the Scenes tour Another Rose dinner show (on Resilient Lady)
  6. Same, they are on the firm side but that’s what I’m used to anyway.
  7. Virgin Voyages doesn’t have any single use plastics on the ships and therefore no bottled water. Filtered water (still and sparkling) is included in the fare. Coca-Cola products and juice from concentrate is also included for free. Bar tab can be used for any charged for drinks, espresso, latte, cappuccino, non-alcoholic cocktails, fresh juice and smoothies and premium drinks like Red Bull.
  8. Scarlet night will normally be the night before the last sea day.

    Gift Card

You can use loot to play, either on machines or as promotional chips for the tables. But you cannot turn promotional credit into cash, only winnings can be cashed out.
  10. Yep the guide talked about the local area, where she and the bus driver are from and some history on the bus. She also did a small sales pitch for some jewelry. The tour was great, we got a carton of water, and had chance to go to the restroom, then the guide showed us to the ruins, talked about them and showed a map and then we had ten minutes for photos, the same was repeated at three more stops, she talked and then allowed time to explore. Her information was good and she spoke great English. The final biggest ruin we had longer before she rounded us up to go back to the entrance. Had time for the gift shop and restroom. She didn’t talk as much on the journey back. i think there could have been around 50 of us. We were on a full size coach. there was several other guides with other groups at the site.
  11. As soon as you’ve booked you can do the check in steps and get a boarding slot booked.
  12. There isn’t actually that many vegetables served and many dishes are meat and potato. The issue might be what’s on the meat and potatoes! for example at Pink Agave Mexican, there is a steak topped with cheese and a side dish of potatoes with chorizo. At Extra Virgin Italian there is a carbonara pasta dish, but it’s made with egg so not really just simple cheese pasta, but close. They also have a porcini flavoured steak dish and for a starter there is meatballs in tomato sauce.
  13. Whereas I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep it around 6pm because most people will prefer to have a drink before dinner. Whereas many will be at dinner around 8pm.
  14. Don’t think anyone will know for certain about the San Juan itineraries until they take place, or maybe two weeks before as the Let’s Set Sail event should appear in the line up. generally on all three ships at present it is 5.30-7pm for the party.
  15. You can also visit sailor services onboard and ask them to combine all charges to the room to one account.
  16. Restaurants can be booked ahead of time and you’ll be able to see an outline schedule for shows but yes shows, activities and fitness classes can only be booked onboard. For the thermal suite at the spa you just book in person, but other treatments can be booked on the app once onboard.
  17. I did Chaccoben ruins only and it was about four hours total, one hour each way to the ruins from the port and around two hours at the site. Not sure if that helps?
  18. Yes although shore excursions might not all be loaded in on the first day.
  19. It only moves to the Manor after the pool party (so around midnight). Early evening in the Manor is just the dinner shows. 9pm to 10.30 is on decks 6&7 and in Red Room.
  20. Breakfast and brunch at Razzle Dazzle and the Wake can now be booked in advance, same as dinner.
  21. For shows just booking first day is enough they don’t fill up too quick. There will also be more dining available so you can move your reservations around. For activities like grog walk or some fitness classes they are much lower capacity so do need to be booked as soon as you are on the ship WiFi. also less of an issue on Resilient & Valiant Lady as not quite as busy and more port stops so people don’t prioritise activities.
  22. This video by Alejandro who was recently part of the happenings cast on Resilient Lady is a great explanation.
  23. I’m guessing the examples of it being harder to get reservations have mainly been on Scarlet Lady where it’s been busier? on the other ships I’ve often been able to be 15 minutes late or 30 minutes early but haven’t tried much for walk up as usually got all the reservations needed easily and moved them around onboard easily, but I don’t think Valiant and Resilient Lady have been as busy as Scarlet.
  24. From 9pm there will be bits and pieces around deck seven, the circus performers and dancers will be roaming doing small shows. There will also be karaoke and other stuff on deck 7 in the various bars. Alternatively the dinner shows (It’s a Ship Show or Another Rose) will be on in the Manor. There will also be the Hostess in the red room doing a 15 minute show about the legend of scarlet night with fantastic live singing. Then at 10.45 the pool party is on at the main pool. I recommend going to the first 15 minutes, the happenings cast, circus cast and dance cast are all out at the pool, with the hostess singing the theme live and it’s a fantastic atmosphere, you can just watch from the deck 16 balcony. The pool party goes on to about midnight, but it’s nice just to see that first 15 minutes and soak up the atmosphere at least.
  25. The festival stage acts change every 2-4 weeks depending on the ship and the artist availability. But they can be variety, comedy or magic. I’ve seen Tape Face (was on AGT) who is a mime act and others have seen Abandoman who is a rap comedian. But also seen Performing Nerd (memory magic act with Rubik’s cubes) and Ben Price (mentalist magician). So although there are often comedic acts it’s not guaranteed as the festival stage changes every few weeks. but the main point is there isn’t a stand up comedy club where you will always see a solo comedian like on other cruise lines.
