  1. You are 100% right. However, that is the chance you take cruising in the Caribbean and Bermuda, ESPECIALLY during the Hurricane season. Luckily, for us, the ship and the sea are our destination, everything else is just gravy/icing.
  2. WJ or not, pay or included, I wouldn't eat that partially melted stuff/crap. Doesn't look fresh to me.
  3. If that is the most recent article on the subject/issue, it is as recent as it can get. My youngest daughter used to do "Mudders" in Indiana. Glad she didn't get sick from it.
  4. Just for full transparency, we actually didn't receive a refund (credit on my C.C.). We received an onboard credit (OBC).
  5. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this because, to me, the "most recent, is recent if the information is valid and as timely as there is.
  6. Depends on what your definition of is ....... I mean "Recent" is. I interpreted it to be recent because it is the most current news article on this type of issue. The CDC has a few articles about it but they don't date them. So, if information hasn't changed for decades the article is the most recent/current. They do put the date of the update but that doesn't mean that the entire article changed or anything other than a fine detail may have changed.
  7. I understand that. It doesn't change the premise of the OPs post. The issue still can exist, TODAY!
  8. How do you rate MDR menu these days? I've found them to be very dry, tough, and very very very hard to swallow. Katchup seems to help the taste and toughness a little. I don't think they have changed much over the years except way back when they were actually printed on Parchment Paper. I really don't care for Parchment Paper, it doesn't digest very well. Edited in: I don't know why my post went to double spacing. I didn't do anything unusual.
  9. If you have about 40 cruises under your belt already, the following is probably old news to you, but here goes anyway: Regardless of when your cabin is available to enter, that doesn't mean that your luggage will be there then. I've seen it come as late as 8:00 PM. I wouldn't worry about it though, it happens very rarely. Just enjoy the cruise. Short experience we had, ONCE: On one of our Star Class Sailings, as usual, a crew member met us at the entrance of the terminal (Port Everglades) and took our baggage directly through security to our suite, it's supposed to be in your suite before you get there. One bag didn't make it to our suite until the next morning. It must have fallen off of the cart and the crew member didn't notice it. Our Genie actually did the search and found it in the bowels of the ship somewhere. I didn't lose a second of sleep over it. I knew/had faith that it would be found, it was. Fortunately, it only had our sandals, sneakers, and swimming attire in it anyway.
  10. Yep, that's where I said I picked it up, S. Florida, and the cause.
  11. And we wonder why women have longer life expectancy than men.
  12. Oh man, I used to wear those things out. That was "high Tech" back then. Looks a lot like the bicycle tire/tube pump, too. BTW: We, here in Alabama, still have the City Truck driving around the neighborhoods with a fogless fogger for the pests. I wish it worked on a couple for neighbors of ours. LOL
  13. Yep, and by the time you get everything to your table, the main course is cold, not that it was "HOT" to begin with. And I don't mind not being "HOT", I just don't want cold.
  14. LOL, I hear ya, I think. We used to run behind the city truck fogger, I mean a thick dense fog, fogging the area for mosquitoes. I loved the smell of the stuff. I think it was a Kerosine product.
  15. I grew up in S. Florida. We played in the myriad of white sand piles, where many different kinds of animals peeeeeed and pooooooped, during the construction boom of the late 50's - 60's. Hookworm was almost a regular issue. We'd catch it early, go to the doctor's office get it sprayed with that stuff that freezes skin on contact. A few days later, it was gone and it was time to start all over again. No big deal if you don't ignore it. No harm, no foul.
  16. Ya, maybe they could do that instead of charging for Pizza and/or Cookies. Wattchyatink
  17. VA does sound like the answer, but it also sounds a little too "Footloose and fancy-free" if you know what I mean. I'm just an old fart approaching 72 in two months.
