  1. That looks wonderful - wish we had smell-o-vision.🫣 I hope if I see it on a menu I remember to ask for a small portion. And I'm glad they do that. PG Chef on NS said they'll do a small cut on steak if you ask.
  2. @kazu those flowers are so pretty - can never say enough what great florists HAL has. And the 5* wine tasting looks like a winner except there seem to be no crackers. I'm telling you - you have opened our eyes to the Great Cracker Shortage of 2024 👀 🥺
  3. @spocruiser We did a "turnaround" in Athens - we treated it as a port day, getting off as early as we were allowed, took the HOHO (which stops right at the port) and got back on about an hour before All Aboard. To get back on, we just scanned our cards like at any other port. I don’t remember what we did when we got off, but it couldn't have been much or I'd remember it, lol. I do remember meeting and getting an "in transit" card. That was June 2017, so things could definitely have changed.
  4. Although HMC wasn't crowded during our last visit, we also had a lot of people asking about our clamshell. Even had someone crawl in it while we were walking the beach - said they didn't notice our bags and towels 🤷‍♀️ We turned ours over to a couple who had not rented one, but wanted one. I wish the clamshells had slits for air as it gets really hot in them. Great picture showing the 2 loungers inside.
  5. Packing that terrific attitude is the best insurance for a great cruise! Safe travels. Bon Voyage!!
  6. Mine too! Grand Dutch Cafe is an excellent alternative for lunch and convenient for special coffee.
  7. Happy to do it! Never had a bad bite or drink there and now I'm hungry!
  8. We didn't have that issue since ours was assigned seating. And it was full - no empty seats. I hope for open seating people wouldn't do that. The full windows do provide great viewing, as does the platform when it's open.
  9. @Vineyard View I agree w/ @RedneckBob that one contributing factor to PG lunch service being above dinner service is the low attendance- we have never seen PG lunch full for regular lunch, but have for brunch. Also agree there's no shortage of food served at lunch.
  10. I've had some really big (grapefruit size) Bosche Bols that fed 2-3 people. Also had baseball size - not sure which is "normal" but they're terrific.
  11. We had an aft wrap NS for our first cruise to AK - that outside space really made the cruise. We still talk about it.
  12. A good collection of days today. My grand nephew is a Make a Wish recipient - they do a great service. I agree w/the long quote. Yes to the meal, drink and wine, not been to the port. Big day in history. Mavericks🏀 lost last night. 😪 Currently 64° headed to cloudy 82° with rain returning Wed. When I checked a couple hours ago, temp was 66° & predicred high was sunny 79° so forecast has changed. Tornado victims of OK need our prayers. Crazy weather across the country - hope everyone stays safe. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all. Earlier forecast
  13. We had assigned seating, but that was a couple years ago May 2022.
  14. What a great, heartwarming story. That is a fabulous cruise experience - I think you won the excursion lottery.
  15. We got these Medical King brand and bought tips to swap out so we have the beefier quad tip when we want/need more of a cane function and small tip for use as a walking stick. They fold up and so far seem very durable.
  16. Today we have very important days to recognize. Pass on the meal, maybe try the drink & wine, not been to the port; the pictures are terrific - thanks to everyone who posted. It was rainy 63° when I checked 5+ hours ago, headed to wet 81°. Forecast says rain should let up for a couple days then start again Wed. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  17. My experience is no matter what beef selection we have in the PG, there is always an onion ring (maybe 2) served with it; we don't order them as sides. Onion rings were served w/beef on NS in Dec Here are some of the sides
  18. OMG - Kevin you are soooo adorable; very nice to meet you! Thanks for sharing @ger_77. Now I feel the urge to add another fur baby to our family 🫣
  19. Thank you @Quartzsite Cruiser @StLouisCruisers for the beautiful pictures!! Hugs @smitty34877 to you and Tana. Hoping everyone stays safe and all the forecasted bad weather skips everyone. 🙏 I'm rooting for Ren's team!!
  20. That's great you were able to add it! You should find the boarding process to go smoothly. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise (and your tote bag)!
  21. @StLouisCruisers I am using Chrome for this morning's posts - no issues. It was a little wonky yesterday w/duplicate posts & black pictures, but that seemed isolated to that specific time frame and was short lived. I have not tried posting from my iPhone or computer - I'm using an Android phone.
  22. Hmm, interesting collection of days - I am not sure about devil dog cakes day 🤔 , my smallest dog is 65# but compared to her 125# brother she's little - does that qualify for pampering?🤷‍♀️ No children here to teach to save. Pass on the meal & probably the drink, would try the wine, not been to Greenland but I do look forward to the pictures. The mechanic is supposed to be here today or tomorrow (more likely tomorrow) to see about the theft alarm. That's the entire list - too frustrated for anything else. Only 3:30 am and already 72° - ugh - headed to rainy 81° w/flood watch; at least the tornado watch is expired. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  23. Hey @luvteaching thanks for the cookie recipe - I love snickerdoodles and had not heard of chocolate ones, either. Sister is going to make some this week 😋
  24. No reservations in Club Orange and you can still go to MDR if you want to.
