  1. @3rdGenCunarder the one I posted that has "savor the journey" on it instead of "club orange" used to be given to suite passengers (Neptune & Pinnacle only). Now that CO is included for those cabins, I don't know which @Khlela and other PS guests would receive. Maybe they've retired the "savor the journey" bags (cheaper to only carry 1 bag), I don't know.
  2. Correct - some cabins have a sofa, others it's a pullout. Thus a 2 person vs 3 person capacity.
  3. Welcome to HAL!! No, you will not be able to print one, but you can call HAL (general reservation number) and ask them to send you one. If you used a TA or PCC to book, just ask them to send it to you.
  4. Oh my heart just aches for them.💔 Can you share enough about it (location, news station...) to help lead me to research - I would like to make a donation for them.
  5. Explorations/Crow's Nest is great for glacier viewing on either ship. For me, there's almost no such thing as a bad cruise to AK - the mid-week embarkation & disembarkation is a key win for Zaandam. I am a big fan of Grand Dutch Cafe & it's hard one for me to give up, but the posts about non-service dogs being allowed on recent K'dam cruises is concerning enough to me that I would give up GDC and also go w/Zaandam. Don't forget the Dutch Pea Soup that is served on Glacier Day Bay - yum!
  6. No, it does not. You need a booking confirmation (invoice) to see OBC.
  7. @crystalspinAbsolutely. I understand the need to increase revenue and bring more $$ to the bottom line, but if a fare paying passenger(s) gets bumped to a less desirable location w/no consideration, that will not be well received and won't be long before smoke signals start going out. Different than if the triples & quads are simply not visible when searching for a party of 1 or 2. You won't miss what you never had...
  8. Looks like this except has "Club Orange" instead of "Savor the Journey" It is canvas w/zippered top (the small navy blue thing sticking up in the picture, is the pull tab for the zipper).
  9. Good to know - I thought it was Pinnacle Suite only. I will tell DH he can unpack the kindling.
  10. Not feeling an injury is a concern for me, too. I mentioned to my sister I could step on something and not even know it. I would totally add bacon to the quiche!!
  11. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  12. Just heard tonight's Powerball is $680m. I will buy a ticket - winning would make me happy (after all, it is Int'l Day of Happiness) and the funds exceed my current pay and SS benefits 😊
  13. @aliaschief looks like dining under the stars is well attended. I would enjoy that (unless it's humid). The area around the Seaview Pool would be a great place to eat. I'm quite enjoying your pictures.
  14. Not a repeat and thanks for mentioning it; it is important. DH is a year younger and still working. He will need to continue working as I will need his insurance to bridge the gap until I'm eligible for Medicare.
  15. Oh goodness @0106 that puppy is adorable! Thanks for sharing.
  16. A nice collection of days to recognize. I am Aquarius. Glad to learn about Yellow Dogs. Good quote from Mr Franklin. The meal and wine sound good, pass on the drink, not been to the port. Big days on history. Work starts early w/2 calls - the 1st to discuss a computer one of my teams needs, the other is that continuing game of whack-a-mole w/my boss and his boss. We'll see if she shows today. No PT as I wait for a replacement FSA card, but I will do exercises at home. Currently 48° headed to 73°, rain should start tonight and temps drop 10°. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  17. Thank you. Prayers and positive thoughts for your DS!
  18. That might be more pressure than I can handle during vacation.🙄🥴
  19. 🤷‍♀️ I appreciate the info and insight from you @Quartzsite Cruiser @RMLincoln @JazzyV @dfish @kazu @Sharon in AZ @marshhawk @1ANGELCAT @0106 @bennybear and anyone I am failing to include (sincere apologies to anyone I failed to mention). I agree the SSA site has good calculators to know what you can receive when - it's just taking the time to do the math, etc when one had not planned for it at this time. Born in 1961, I am at the lowest level of benefits if I draw them now. I have been planning to work as long as possible & collect SS benefits at the highest level, so this is a big change. When it became obvious to me that health conditions were going to negatively impact work, I started checking into SS disability. The biggest wake up for me was learning you have to be below a certain earnings threshold for 6 months before you can file and if you go above that threshold, the clock starts over. When PCP recommended an LOA, I thought that would give me the opportunity to work through the SS disability process (does anybody get approved w/o going through a denial & appeals process?), file for STD then LTD if necessary. So PCP giving me grief about the papers is a bit of a stumbling block. So, I am not eligible to file at this time and am at least 6 months out from being eligible. During that time, I would be a addressing the physical stuff (PT, surgery, more PT, adjusting to meds, etc). It's a lot at one time then to feel like I've joined a track team jumping hurdles... Ugh My mother had bad tremors - mine are worse at this age than hers were, so I feel like I've seen my future and it worries me. Hers were in 1 hand only - mine are now starting on the other side, too. She was already not working when hers started, so I don't have experience watching someone navigate that transition. I greatly appreciate the feedback, input, recommendations and anything else you want to send my way - I read it all even if I don't comment. And prayers - I'm always receptive to prayers.❤️
  20. Drowsiness is one of the common side effects that I've read. How are people supposed to function when they're tired? Whether from lack of sleep or meds - sleepy is sleepy. Good to hear the pain is not waking you up.
  21. Thank you for the info. Insurance has not approved filling it yet as they're waiting on something additional from the doctor. His initial response was "my signed prescription is my letter of medical necessity" but I did tell him at my appointment last week that they were still waiting on him. So, maybe he will follow up with them and I will consider this waiting time the Universe way of providing me time to do my due diligence rather than blindly jumping in. He is prescribing it off label for me for tremors.
