  1. I don’t bother the casino host. Just upgrade myself once onboard
  2. and they are conveniently located next to each other. One time I was headed to the deli for dinner but the freshly made pizza won out. Fresh pizza and no line, I’m there.
  3. Agreed. My PVP always thanks me for booking my free casino cruises with him.
  4. Another great live. Thanks so much, and stay warm!
  5. And their employer, if they are indeed employees of the resort.
  6. They will be glad to pick you up at your FLL hotel and transport you to the Port of Miami. Furthest we have asked for, and was granted, was pick up in London with transfer to Dover (on day prior to the cruise, about 90 minutes travel time), and back to London on debarkation day.
  7. Not an issue then. Just show up and your mom can board.
  8. We did the NYE cruise on the Celebration. On the last sea day, hubby was so sick we went to the Medical Canter. Negative for COVID but positive for Influenza A. They did have Tamifly onboard so that was helpful. He was isolated to his room, but Carnival had us debark with the masses. I asked if there was a special debark procedure, and was told no, only for COVID.
  9. These charges will be refunded whether you inform Carnival or not. The only reason to tell Carnival would be if you have travel insurance.
  10. In my experience, spring break is very crowded (only sailed Carnival and Royal for that), and lends itself to a lot of rowdy behavior. And I think your time reference is correct. Our public school spring break is the week of March 11th.
  11. Hope you like the Mardi Gras as much as we did. Be sure to try Emeril’s, Street Eats, and Shaq’s Big Chicken. And don’t forget daily gelatos at lunch in the buffet area. We loved Bar Della Rosa and getting our morning cappuccino fix there.
  12. How was the crossing? We loved it on the Miracle.
  13. You have to order it from a roaming server. If they are not around, you can walk up to bar, find a server (not a bartender) and order it there. They will bring it to you. Nothing on your card, but once they enter your folio number, the server knows it is free.
  14. Sid, thanks for the entertaining review. All the best to you.
  15. Sid, Enjoy your day in St. Thomas. Let me know if you want some self-publishing tips. My DH has three books published and is working on the fourth.
  16. How about 10:30? I don’t get the appeal of sitting around for over hour when you could accomplish the same thing by arriving at your check in time.
  17. It’s only on the Excel class. A private area above Serenity reserved for those sailing in an Excel suite or booking a cabana. A cabana is a lovely way to go, with bar service, bottle of champagne and fresh fruit everyday, and lunch brought to your cabana.
  18. We have gotten Loft 19 for as low as $1750 plus gratuity. But our NYE has sold out at $2000 per week. So some people still find the value there.
  19. I would give the Bahamas a try if I had never been there. Nassau has some fine shopping, lovely beaches, two really nIce casinos, along with water parks. Bimini is so laid back and fun. For those of us who been 20 times or more, it is not that exciting. But if you have ever been, it is worth exploring. I love the Queen’s staircase, shopping at John Bull, and checking out the yachts at Atlantis. Even the sail in is very pretty with the lighthouse and a view of Atlantis. And the port renovation was very well done. So if you are open minded and want to try somewhere different, the Bahamas has a lot to offer. Many of us frequent cruisers are suffering from the been there, done that syndrome.
  20. I would either make sure my travel insurance would cover the cost, or just tour Aruba. It’s a beautiful island, and very diverse.
