  1. Looking forward to your review. Thanks for doing it.
  2. Likely just an error. Check online to see if you get a bounce back offer. Did the host give you any comps?
  3. You should go first. Then they will let you help him. As for the connecting flights, just don’t leave the secure area or you will have to go through security again. it will go fine. Just remember to pack your patience. Those security lines can get long. best of luck and have a great cruise.
  4. Almost there. I am guessing champagne as the boarding beverage.
  5. We were recently on the Pride and enjoyed the MDR, Sushi place, and Steakhouse. There is also Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana, etc. So a lot more than two dining choices. We always found plenty of good food and interesting choices. Not a match for all the choices on MG or Celebration, but a whole lot quicker to get around, get off and on the ship, etc.
  6. We like PC, and embarkation is usually good, though we have had an issue or two getting into the port parking. Debarkation is more of a mixed bag - sometimes taking minutes, other times taking close to an hour. But we have yet to find a perfect port, though Tampa comes pretty close. Unfortunately, due to the Sunshine Skyway bridge, the big ships can't port in Tampa so we often travel to other ports.
  7. Looking forward to another of your live trip reports. We were scheduled to go on this one, but dropped it in favor of Iceland (which was fantastic). Hope you have a great cruise!
  8. Grand Turk - agree with Ninjacat. Walk off the ship and turn left. The water is beautiful and the beach is right there. Stop at Jack’s Shack for some beer and jerk chicken. Amber Cove - really pretty sail away and pretty good activities at the port. We did the dolphin swim here and it was incredible. If you are a pool person, just hang at the port
  9. Hi Megan, so excited to follow along. Please check out Emeril’s, especially the beignets.
  10. The invites lately actually say you and a guest. But I agree, it should only be one guest per invited cruiser,
  11. We may use Carnival for excursions if it is a tender port (to get off the ship faster) or there are other logistical complications (i.e., long distance from the port), but mainly book privately. We research on the port of call boards and sites like trip advisor. It has saved us lots of money and is usually a better experience (van vs. bus, smaller groups). .
  12. Now it is only open to Platinum and Diamond cruisers and their guests. On the Excel ships, it is now very limited as to drinks, but they add a credit to your account so you get any drink, I think up to $15, on the day of the party. On the other ships, it is likely to be an open bar.
  13. Yes, at the very aft (inside). If the coffee shop by the Red Frog Pub is closed, then the one on Lido is usually open. We made that trek a few times earlier this month.
  14. And they have Heineken. I don’t know why Carnival doesn’t have them anymore.
  15. Most likely. They were very lenient during Covid, but have started to enforce the rules.
  16. Great review. Thank you for doing it. We just did 12 nights in the Carnival Pride with four Icelandic ports. We did a whale watching tour in the RIB speedboat. It was incredible and we saw eight whales, and at our last stop, we saw puffins. My hubby is ready to go back to Iceland. I can wait a while. The Southern Caribbean is calling my name.
  17. We always book number 12. You can easily see if the warm tub is occupied and you are right by the service bar so very quick with your drink orders. Plus the bar is a great wind break. You do have one neighbor but that hasn’t been much of an issue. One time, our neighbor snuck in some extras but the staff quickly escorted them out.
  18. On our March Celebration cruise, the cabanas showed as sold out on the website and were full the first few days. Toward the end of the cruise, they were offering a daily rate on at least one cabana. We booked for the week pre-cruise and loved it.
  19. Very true. For a recent cruise, we flew into London, took a private car to Dover, and spent the night there before boarding. After the cruise, private car back to London and spent the night before flying home. So we certainly contributed to the English economy and had a great time doing it.
  20. I agree with BlerkOne that the offer states that the invited person must sail, but we have at least one instance reported on here where the second person only sailed, and it was not an issue. However, it is a crap shoot and Carnival would have a legitimate right to reprice the cabin. Personally, I would not take that risk. Who wants to get to the port and be told they have to pay hundreds of dollars more, or be denied boarding?
