Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Concerning post #14 and following -- perhaps the rep was being "cute" and thought it was April 1 already ?? Only unreasonable explanation that comes to my feeble mind immediately. Bob S.
  2. Ditto for us. Nothing received for several months. Bob & Bob

    Shoehorns?

Except when you have your travel scissors handy (always packed in checked baggage). Then they can become customized open-toe. That way, slippers made for men's size 9 fit my 13s (with a little overhang fore and aft). Bob S.
  4. The caddy was definitely in use during our Barcelona - Lisbon - Lauderdale BTB in late 2019. Too much good food too hard to resist that close to our old-folks dinnertime! (So we skipped tea one or two days) Bob & Bob
  5. Daisy, visits to both Australia and New Zealand are well-worth the effort to get there from Texas. I think your distance/traveling time is not too much greater than ours (in the sense of world travel). We spent 3 weeks in Australia (on a land tour) the first time we went -- loved all of it. Next visit was an Auckland to Sydney segment of a Serenity World Cruise -- saw lots of NZ and some Australian places we hadn't been previously -- loved all of it. So, from this side of the Atlantic Pond and halfway across our continent, you get at least our two votes to "just do it". Bob & Bob
  6. dimundsR -- sorry to spoil your fun but what you have is a link to the 2025 World Cruise, not the individual cruises for the rest of the year. We expect (hope?), based on what others have reported, that the individual itineraries will be posted Wed or Thu this week. Bob S.
  7. Received our e-tkts for this cruise last night (Sun) 7:45pm. Just noticed VERY IMPORTANT under "Post Cruise Information" -- "The ship will be located at 4 Port Terminal Blvd., Bayonne, NJ ..." I believe that this is part of the RCI complex in Bayonne. Disembarkation will be from approximately 8:00 to 10:00 am. Bob S.
  8. Very BIG deal for us also -- a major reason why we chose the ships we did (HAL and QE2) in our pre-Crystal cruising years. (Crystal exclusively and quite happily since 2001) Bob & Bob
  9. Keith, thanks for the prompt reply. I will check with our TA when we need/want info about future cruise hotels. OC had info on the website; I thought maybe NC had posted it somewhere that I couldn't find. (We already have a hotel booked for upcoming NYC-QC-NYC BTB.) Bob S.
  10. Keith, or anyone else who knows, where online or anywhere else, is there info about the pre- and post-cruise hotel programs ?? (Cannot find on Crystal website) Bob S.
  11. Patty, I think you have it right and are certainly NOT "confused". I also tried your "hovering cursor" idea -- for which we (and I'm sure many others) are very grateful -- to identify various staterooms, suites, etc. Found out a lot of interesting (at least to me!) info looking at the deck plans this way. Bob S.
  12. We also are booked BTB NYC-QC-NYC Sep 27-Oct 13. Packed already in our minds! Hope to meet other posters for this cruise when we're on board. Meanwhile, we're roasting rapidly here in Houston waiting for Maine and The Maritimes to cool down. Bon Voyage to all those already booked on ours and other NC cruises. Bob & Bob
  13. Playing loud on our desktop here in Houston !! We have to wait 'til late Sept out of NYC to hear for real. We are now VERY jealous of y'all who booked the earlier cruises. B&B
  14. May B -- approx. 9:50 Texas Toasty time (it's only 95F here in Houston) Your link works. Thank you. Bob S.
  15. We are not on any of Serenity's European re-inaugural cruises but on our Sept-Oct NYC-Quebec-NYC back-to-back we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of her first TransAtlantic crossing (Nov. 2003). We were among only about 450 "guests" on that voyage -- just our second on Crystal. The wonderful treatment, service, food, entertainment, etc., etc., we received on that cruise solidified our Crystallization. (We were initially crystallized by being offered a glass of champagne at the tent on the dock in Copenhagen prior to boarding a Symphony Baltic cruise in 2001 - even before we signed in!) We are confidently looking forward to NC providing what we were used to from 2001 through 2019 (with NC improvements, of course). Bob & Bob P.S. Bags are packed, etc. etc.
