  1. Can you explain what a DPV is?
  2. Yes you have to settle on something else when there are no SV to choose from. The only other alternative is a different class of ship that has a true balcony on the sides!!
  3. IV is a nice alternative for those that do not want to spend the $$$ on expensive suites or who cannot get a sunset balcony. There are not very many sunset balconies so the iv is the next best alternative when you do not get a choice. You might just as well accept it and decide you will like it and have a wonderful cruise. We are!!!
  4. We did the catamaran sail to Nevis. One of our better excursions. Really a lot of fun. We sat on the edge with our feet on the net. Got soaked and my hair was sticky wild! Plan to do it again next Feb. Enjoy😎
  5. Thank you everyone that responded to my answers that were particularly for Rome. I appreciate your help.
  6. Sea Days (6 of them) reading and just relaxing. Also not having to fly for 12+hours to get to Europe!!
  7. Just curious as to what the process is for B2B change over in Rome(Civitavecchia)? We assume the passenger count needs to get down to zero. Can you immediately check back in without having to find a place to hang out? Really do not want to have to walk the streets of Civitavecchia with a small rollaboard with valuables and medication in it!! Anyone that has done a turnaround here please help to let us know what to expect.
  8. We actually are one of those that take precautions and carry our own tests. I just don’t want to have to worry the entire time on our Transatlantic about having to test. We are fine with doing them ourselves on the honor system.
  9. What about the part that says “prior to reboarding a Transpacific(I get that part) or TRANSATLANTIC leg? It’s the Transatlantic that we need to deal with. It talks about B2B involving Transatlantic cruises.
  10. As of March 21, 2023, proof of a negative COVID-19 test is no longer required for guests embarking on Transocean sailings, except for those on back-to-back sailings in Australia/New Zealand and those aboard the April 22nd, 2023 Celebrity Eclipse 18 Night Tahiti, New Zealand & Hawaii sailing out of Sydney, Australia. For guests on back-to-back sailings All back-to-back guests will be required to take part in a complimentary COVID-19 test, prior to reboarding a Transatlantic or Transpacific leg of their journey. ? A cruise prior to a Transatlantic which would be someone coming off a Carribean cruise and continuing on a transatlantic. OR ? A transatlantic cruiser continuing on a European cruise on the same ship? Very confusing and the wording is very poor!
  11. Love seeing all your photos and comments. We are doing similar next Jan -Feb on the Beyond and Asent. It’s fun seeing the process.
  12. We have taken two grandchildren with us on Alaska cruises twice now. We have taken them in Sky Suites in Sunset staterooms. It was very nice having the extra room and we got the third person discount as well. They loved cruising and it was very enjoyable to eat in Luminae dining room with them.
  13. I think I raced through your thread to the point where I saw you made it!! Then I could relax!!! So glad to hear you’re having a wonderful time.
  14. We also have two upcoming cruises. I just pass by the negative comments. We are not worried as we know there will be plenty of things to eat. Never have considered canceling for lack of food! We know we will have plenty. Maybe a little less will actually be good for us!! Gone are the days of asking for an extra plate for the table to share as you get older!!
  15. The one caveat we have found is that if you originally book with the refundable deposit then try to cancel it and change it to a non refundable Celebrity will not do it unless there is another stateroom available in that same category. We had this happen on a sunset balcony as they are hot in demand and down the line there was not another available. Maybe it’s doing it onboard that makes the difference!
  16. I know it does not sound right but the claim is that you get a lower price for the cruise. The non refundable part is $100 per person and the other $150 comes back in a future cruise credit so all is not lost. We just went through all of this with family this am.
  17. Thank you. I tried to call a little while ago and of course the offices are closed. I remember the days when I got through very easily late at night! Since this cruise is not until 2025 I rather doubt the stateroom will be gone unless our other party takes it!!!
  18. Is a Hold supposed to last for 24 hrs and not just until the end of the day in my case 6 hrs on the day you place the hold at 2400? We’re waiting to hear on the other party who may be going with us.
  19. Thank you. All worked out fine. Courtesy hold now good.
  20. Thank you. It seems to have worked but I do not have a confirmation # or an email. Hopefully something will arrive soon.
  21. I’ve tried this. Using an iPad. Only option is to exit reservation or continue with booking but no option to hold. Using Safari to access website. After lock it in. The screen goes to personal info then cont to payment.
  22. Is there a way to place a 24 hr hold without calling celebrity
  23. Just curious how this works if the parents are booking for their adult kids. Do the parents who paid for it get the future cruise credit or do your adult kids get to keep it to use in the future? We have no experience with this and are just wondering before we do anything.
