  1. @Need-a-vacation but how are you ever going to have the experience of using the app & ocean now if you don’t try it at least once. Hope you also received some water bottles too. Enjoy your cruise and breakfast via door hanger or app.
  2. @luuuv2cruise there’s a current Live from the Ruby started today. They have the first Patter listed so you could get an idea of the entertainment.
  3. This summer I saw a Live from Sky and in the Princess theater the shows were 8 PM to 845 and 10 PM to 1045. ( spotlight bar, A Royal Variety show, & a vocalist) Of course, in the other areas of the ship there is other shows going on. Vista lounge 7:30 pm & 9 pm some shows.( showtime with Stephen Garcia( comedy magic at 7:30 pm & 9pm. Laugh lounge at 7:30 pm & 9 pm. Princess Live :game show-Sky is the limit & marriage match game, majority rules at 9 pm, & Liars club at 9 pm. as others have said, it depends on where the ship is in the world, book your dining now and if you’d like to be more flexible, just do the walk-in dining usually having dinner later is not as much of a problem as dining early. So go to the first show and schedule your dinner for 830 and you should be good to go. what time does your ship say you are having traditional dining maybe not you per se but what times does that show on your app .You can usually judge by that as well.
  4. Here’s the DR schedule as of 9-14-24. If you can not reserve Botticelli or Michaelangelo prior to your cruise on the app then yes call the dine line when you get onboard or see someone ( dining room manager)the first day that you get onboard in one of the dining rooms. See what they can do for you. Or do the walk-in DA Vinci and just go at 5 PM when they open. you will have entertainment onboard,no worries. Ruby Princess-2024 & 2025 ( reservations open for 7-5-25 + now) Michelangelo ( mid deck 5) is traditional at 5 PM ( shared or private table)and 7:20 pm (private table only)-as of July 14, 2024 for a cruise/ voyage in April 2025. This dining room is full? Not able to book for either seating. For a cruise/ voyage in October 2024 only 5 pm is available for traditional. As of 9-2024 for December 2nd voyage-no traditional reservations available Botticelli( aft deck 6)-reservable,every 20 minute time slots- able to get private table (6 pm , 7:00, & 7:20 pm)- as of 7-20-24 able to book private table for voyage October 2025 Also open sea days & embarkation day lunch -noon to 1:30pm. Breakfast - hours could vary.As of 9-2024 only a few time slots available to book for 12-2024 voyage. DA Vinci ( mid deck 6)- walk in, no reservations
  5. Horizons DR ( Soleil) on deck 6 aft open for breakfast and lunch. Americana Diner deck 8 aft has a brunch menu. Sea days 8:30 am- 1pm then dinner hours sea & port check your Patter ( daily paper) for hours and times. Soon deck plan is changing for where some of these places are. And the main dining rooms are changing names, but in the same place.
  6. Glad you are onboard, looking forward to more of your adventures. so when you say that, your suite is barely big enough for two people are all three of you staying in one suite then?
  7. Thanks for the observances on the majestic princess for March 2025. Interestingly Princess .com -the deck plan does not reflect any of this yet. Of course I know they can always be behind.🤣 So when you said Sabatini’s is going to be added, where is that going to be? The catch by Rudi is already on deck 7 and Harmony( leaving fleet) on 5 ,so are they switching places and is Sabatini’s going where the catch is currently on deck 7?
  8. @paddingtonbear I hope you never feel hustled into paying for exercising. You said you have plus cruise package,so based on that- 2 classes are included per voyage. They only have so many participants per class,so you need to sign up. If you want more than 2 classes then you may pay for them.$30./ class - class name listed post #6. As others have said :gym equipment is free to use. i.e. treadmills, etc.(included in your cruise fare) Go take a tour once onboard and ask the fitness center what is complimentary if the Princess.com site isn’t clear to you.
  9. Maybe will be available. Check your journey view on app when it populates and gets about 3 weeks out from your cruise. Or check with dine line or dining room supervisor once onboard all the details or if it will be held on your voyage. Crab Shack is a pop up on Princess- not set DR/ venue space. Here’s what was posted on May 9, 2024 @VinoBoxster On the Royal Princess right now on a Japan to Whittier crossing. The crab shack was a dinner in the Crown Grill that they completely replaced the regular Crown Grill menu with the crab shack menu shown on the Princess website under the "Specialty Restaurants" page. Even though we have the Premier package, we were charged the $49 per person plus gratuity ($92.04 for two). We asked about this charge since we thought it was going to be one of our Premier package specialty dining nights and were told that no: Crab Shack is not considered to be one of the two "specialty dining" offerings within the premier package and the charge was correct and valid...
  10. Any CC members have anything to report with the new main dining room(s) format since 9-14-24? Is it working out like you booked? Any difference in my chart I posted? Looking for your experience. Thanks.

  12. I just thought British Airways -club world a.k.a. business class is more like pod seats, but either way …I’m sure he and his family will have a great flight and cruise.
  13. I think @KarmaCruisers is upper deck -world traveler plus seat? nonstop sfo to LHR.
  14. Looking forward to hearing about your standard fare & about your experience on The Regal. I guess you will wait to use “ free” wi fi in ports to post the semi live.
  15. Not specifically for The Sun P. Here’s what Princess.com has. There are some YouTube casino walk throughs for The Sun. For those who prefer the table games, the casino certainly doesn't disappoint. Blackjack, roulette and craps are always popular games, but the casino also offers some lesser-known games of chance like let it ride, Caribbean stud and three-card poker. Princess Casino Key Enhancements Onboard Sun Princess Nearly 9,000 square feet, featuring 10’ ceilings, 227 slot machines and 13 live tables Newest and the most comfortable gaming seating available for both slot and table game players New linked blackjack and poker table progressives, offering high value cash top awards High-limit slot area, with high-end seating New gaming experiences and celebrations through an interactive audio-visual experience throughout the casino Sun Princess Table games all subject to change. Blackjack, fun 21 blackjack, roulette, WPT heads up hold’em, three card prime & high card flush.
  16. Just curious, what does the app populate that is on the first night? In theater?
  17. @janny444 The casual included venues in plus or premier package on Sky Princess are: Alfredo’s & ocean terrace sushi both on deck 7. And Vines on deck 5.
  18. Extension cords with surge and without are allowed on Princess, but subject to electrical department onboard for testing or inspection.( think for cpap machine- although Princess can usually provided one for use) power strips are not extension cords per se-they ARE allowed without a surge protector ,but still onboard electrical department has final say. not difficult to tell what power strip is not surge protected, packaging tells that information for consumers and electrical department onboard knows or can test it. I have first hand knowledge. Once on a cruise out of San Pedro, California port - port security took my non surge power strip that I had taken on multiple princess cruises & gave me a receipt. Told me if it was approved they would give it back to me .shortly after boarding. I got a call from guest services to come pick up my power strip, I was good to go.
  19. Some food items are complimentary, once on the ship go into your app for ocean now and it will tell you what is included or a charge. Things change ,but this is what I show that is complimentary. Sandwiches,French fries, salads, pizza, soup, chilli, burgers, fruit cup ,& more. Picture is just an example.
  20. Agree with previous posts. Here is what is allowed & prohibited straight from Princess.com Click menu top left hand side of screen ,then help, then at bottom is FAQ’s Click prepare for your cruise and prohibited items are there. Lots of other information under FAQ’s Electrical devices such as small fans, multi plug box outlets/adaptors, power strips/extension cords without surge protectors and electric extension cords with surge protectors are allowed onboard when used with proper caution and following inspection/tests from the onboard electrical department. However, if such devices are determined to pose a hazard then they will be removed and returned the last day of the cruise prior to debark. Not necessarily on Princess.com -No electric: clothes steamers, immersion heaters, coffee pots, heating blankets , rice cookers, etc.
  21. @PrincessArlena'sDad do you use a travel agent or do you book straight through princess.com? You don’t have to answer obviously. But I highly recommend for all your questions an experienced travel agent that cruises often. Sounds as if this is a very big trip for five people and you want to make sure that you get your questions answered and the things that you want to see & do addressed .There are many options as you can see taking an Alaska cruise & land tour. I personally like to do a land tour first because you’re on the go every day even though everything is very organized and seamless for the most part. Then after your land -do a cruise because a lot of it is scenic viewing and you can relax. For your second choice, Hawaii, I don’t know if you meant a cruise to Hawaii or land vacation ,but if you only have a one time chance to see Hawaii, then I would somehow work a cruise into it so you can see all the islands or Island hop if you do just a land tour- each island offers a little bit of different things to do. If just doing a land vacation to Hawaii ,depending on where you fly from -go into Honolulu spend a couple days there, then island hop to each of the other islands for minimum three days each place. Lots of things to do in each one of them and you can easily spend a week to two weeks in each island, but if you’ve never been to Hawaii before I would say get a taste of all of them while you’re there .
  22. @curlymason I would choose deck 8 because there’s cabins above your head and not public space. That would be my first choice. Depends on what category mini suite you would be choosing for deck 15. There are some cabins that have cabins above your head and some public areas.
  23. @GloriaF if you go to princess.com and in the upper left-hand corner, there is a menu .type in the search button soda packages and all of them will come up including the zero alcohol package which includes water and soda. You may also look under princess.com and then go to onboard our ships, and food & dining. I am assuming you’ve done your homework on the plus package as well? princess.com has lots of information and it tells you exactly what each package includes. If you’ve already booked your cruise, you can go under manage my booking and you can do a mock “ look”,so you can see the prices for the beverage offerings.
