  1. When I sent his mom and dad the picture, his mom said he needs to swallow more teeth for a bigger payout. 🤣🤣
  2. Also, the promo code does not work with certain discounts. It would have made the last cruise I booked onboard more expensive.
  3. That may be tough for two of the kids, because they are having the times of their lives at Disney right now. Of course, one thing that happened on our flight yesterday, was that grandson swallowed a tooth. Fortunately, the tooth fairy was still able to find him and pay up. 🤣🤣🤣 Lunch today was hibachi teriyaki chicken. This week will be somewhat filled with doctors appointments and getting things done that were neglected the last three weeks.
  4. Yes, those are the correct ones. It is just that I was back on Wi-Fi when I took screenshots of the results. In the first results page, it shows it was Verizon 5G at the bottom of the page. In the second one, it shows it was on Spectrum Wi-Fi. I have had widely different results at times.
  5. @Lionesss Sue, congratulations on the reveal. When we were driving home from Cleveland last night, we saw some fireworks being set off. I thought maybe it was part of your reveal. 😀 @sgmn Sue, congratulations on your negative tests and have a great cruise.
  6. Travel yesterday was fun. We had originally booked our flight from San Francisco to Cleveland, because we could get a non stop flight. However, a day after booking, they eliminated the non stop and put us on a flight with a stop in Chicago. So we get to the airport yesterday morning, and the flight says OnTime. We are at the gate, the plane is sitting there, and everyone is waiting and waiting. Boarding time comes and goes, and about 10 minutes later they make an announcement that the flight is delayed because the cleaning crew is not there yet. Finally, we take off 40 minutes late. That projected hour layover is now down to 20 minutes. Ok, maybe we will make it, because our gates are near each other. Then I check mid flight, and now we are coming in to a different terminal. After landing, they ask who onboard has a short time to make a connecting flight? Almost every hand on the plane shot up. As people got off the plane, it looked like the start of a marathon race. Everyone was sprinting. I never saw so many people running in an airport. Our saving grace was that our connecting flight was delayed getting in, so we made it just as it was boarding. The good news was that all my family made it safely to their destinations. As an added bonus, I had made an investment three weeks ago before we left, and it increased in value 11% while we were gone.
  7. @bobmacliberty thanks for posting the video. Like your wife, and Andrew’s @A&L_Ont wife, mine would not find it interesting. Why is it that those of us that worked in these related fields ended up with wives that have little interest in it?
  8. Travel, travel, travel. Apparently this is a day for my family to travel. Too bad we are not all going to the same place. After a couple weeks in Munich, Paris and Amsterdam on business, our son just boarded his flight back to San Francisco. Daughter and her family just boarded their flight to take them to their week in Disney. This is amazing that they could still go, after her emergency surgery a week ago. And finally, we are almost to the airport to catch our flight from San Francisco to Cleveland. Grandson was up early and ready to go for this summer’s adventures.
  9. I would like to see the data that supports this. When we sailed in January, they had four decks they were using for quarantine, and numbers were routinely announced. Fast forward to our May cruise, and only one deck was used for quarantine. Sure, there were those on FB that said they tested positive, but even looking at percentages it was lower.
  10. Now I feel bad for posting a hiking post, while @BonTexasNY is laid up, but here goes. Although it was very warm today, it felt so good to get out and enjoy a little hike while our grandson was off on his last play date, before we whisk him away to Pennsylvania tomorrow. We found a little trail bridge. over a nice wooded stream. (Although it is not very big this time of year.) We ended up at what we call the blackberry trail, because there are so many blackberry bushes. I was surprised to find a few ripe ones, and they were actually sweet.
  11. Adding my wishes for a relaxing, fantastic cruise. Glad to hear your son is home, and congratulations to your granddaughter. You have every right to be proud!! And speaking of what is wrong with people…… When Susan and I stopped at the Big Rock Cafe for lunch the other day, there was a family that was came in and sat at the table behind us on the patio. They had a young boy, who we found out later was in our grandson’s 4th grade class. The whole time they were there, the father did nothing but deride and insult the poor kid, and we didn’t observe any type of behavior that would warrant such verbal abuse toward him. I think there are far too many out there that lack good parenting skills. ok, mini rant over.
  12. I had called them first, and they gave me an email address. I forwarded them our documents and copies of all the sea pass cards, and copies of the business cards from the people we talked to on the ship. It helped that I was doing that review, because I was essentially documenting the problems. The email address they gave me was royalguestrelations@rccl.com
  13. And that two day testing window does nothing but to catch a few unlucky ones. We were just off a cruise where we saw people not reporting symptoms until the last night of the cruise. We just saw the one couple in the dining room, and an hour later, Royal was at their cabin to test them. Trust me, symptoms don’t show up that fast. Fast forward to a week later, and we were flying to California, and tons of people on the plane and in the airport were hacking and coughing. Two days after that flight, I began to show symptoms. Tested for two days, and those tests were negative. On the 4th day tested positive, and continued positive for 8 more days. The takeaway from this. 1 The 2 day testing window means nothing. 2 My experience was that I have had colds that were worse than the variant that is going around. Yes, it is just time to dump all the testing and move on.
  14. I picked up a bottle of blue curaçao when we were in Curaçao. Since we really enjoyed those Union Jack lava flows, Susan wants me to make some when we get back home. I think I will need to pick up a bottle of kraken to float on top of mine.
  15. Whatever the problem was, it seems to have resolved itself. Chalk it up to a CC glitch. No problems with photos or YouTube videos I had in the report. What did surprise me, was that the Periscope (who remembers that?) live videos I linked, still worked. That, after the periscope app was discontinued by Twitter over a year ago.
  16. That is somewhat disconcerting to hear. Even though they have balcony dividers, I would not want someone to be able to get in the cabin by climbing balcony to balcony. Years ago, on a trip to Hawaii, we watched some college kids as they climbed from balcony to balcony on the 18th floor of our hotel. Those were much harder to do than the ones on the ship. Ah, the idiocy of youth.
  17. I think I may have posted this before, but it appears Seymour had visited my old home town. I think if I was the reporter, I would have asked for ID.
  18. I was going to link the review I did for that sailing that detailed the problems we encountered, but for some reason, the pages in the review keep freezing (at least they do on my iPad) Anyhow, if you want to try and pull it up, it is listed in my signature for a sailing in 2018. Or, if you do a search for Harmony and Me H20skibum cruise critic, it should bring up a google link.
  19. It is 58° at 6 am in California, with a high of 93° today and sunny. Looking forward to getting out for our last full day here. OK, now for a quick question, if anyone knows. Do old reviews on Cruise critic eventually disappear? Or, maybe they are still there, but just difficult to pull up in their entirety. The reason I ask, I was replying to a thread where a couple showed up to board, and Royal only had a record for one of them. That had happened to us on Harmony in 2018. I had done a review at the time, and was going to link to that review that detailed a lot of the problems we encountered. However, when I try to pull up that review, it starts to load, then freezes (at least on my iPad). Then I was curious, and tried to pull up some earlier ones, and they exhibited the same behavior. I may have to try it on my computer when I get home. Edit to add - I just did a google search for that review, and it brought it up on the UK site, and it loads fine there. Go figure.
  20. Had the second scenario play out for me a few years ago on Harmony. They had a record of my wife, but not me. I ended up with a half dozen cards from that cruise, screwed up show reservations, shore excursions, etc. Had to make daily trips to GS to try to sort out the problem of the day. So, no, it is not unusual.
  21. The bad thing about being on the west coast, is that happy hour comes so much later here. I could use one of those about now. This is our grandkids last day of school (both here in California and back home in PA). Saturday, we fly home with our California grandson for the summer. As a bonus, both Susan and I tested negative this morning. I am glad that no one else caught it from me.
