  1. One of my daughter and SIL’s vehicles was damaged when part of a tree came through the windshield and dash. They had to get a rental while it was being repaired, and their insurance would only cover 45 days of rental. We let them use one of our vehicles when the repair took longer than that. No one anticipated the repair to take that long, but getting parts needed takes longer than usual now.
  2. Hmmm, don’t know if you are referring to the hurricane, the brownie with ice cream, or the bungee trampoline, but I would agree on all three! 🤣🤣🤣
  3. Yes you did. I love that stuff. Have not been there. We have been to places a couple of the grandkids had been to before, or places they wanted to go. Although granddaughter had crab legs the other day, and she really liked them. She put Susan to work cracking them.
  4. For our evening, we took an Uber to North Myrtle Beach to Barefoot Landing, and went to Lulu’s for supper. Setting a good example, I ordered a Hurricane and a hot brownie with ice cream for my supper. A couple of the grandkids wanted to do this, so why not? IMG_5084.MOV It didn’t take our granddaughter long to start doing the flips. I think if we took her on a ship with a sky pad, we would have trouble getting her away from it.
  5. Our grandkids have been on a hunt for shark’s teeth every morning as we walk the beach The biggest one they found so far and a bunch of little ones. We bought them some little jars to keep them in. We walked down to take a ride on the sky wheel. Some nice views from up there. We went there right after lunch. We tried Soho, which was probably the best meal since we have been here. It is a Japanese place. I just had a hibachi chicken box. It also came with a larger than usual salad.
  6. Glad to hear that Sarah is feeling better. I think I may have told the story, but Susan got pulled over by the Georgia State Police on our trip back from Florida last winter. And, of course, the first words out of her mouth when the officer came to the window was “I WAS NOT SPEEDING!”. At first the cop said she was going 85, and I knew this couldn’t be true, because she always sets cruise control at the speed limit and rarely leaves the right lane. Anyhow, the cop must have realized he pulled over the wrong vehicle, because he only asked to see her driver’s license, and not the car registration. Then he sent us on our way. Very strange!
  7. We always see those about every mile, when we drive to Florida each winter. They seem to increase in the amount of money they get for their clients, the farther we go. So I am digging through my coleslaw at lunch, and what do I find? Raisins ( @A&L_Ont ). Never saw that before. Glad Susan didn’t order any.
  8. It hasn’t been too bad here with the rain. We decided to go play miniature golf after lunch. It just started a light rain as they were on #1 My grandson from California plays like Happy Gilmore. How do you get the ball to stop at the top of the hill? Two out of the three of them had a hole in one. Relaxing for a while before supper. Looks like they clear pools when there is lightning in the air.
  9. So after our beach time….. it was back to that lazy river to chase the boys around it again. I found it can be dangerous, because I cut a big gash in the bottom of my foot. Good thing I travel with a full medical kit. Cleaned, antiseptic and dressing applied. Now I am headed out to search the billboards for which attorney can get me the most. 🤣🤣 JK
  10. Good morning from Myrtle Beach. I had a lot of pages to catch up on, just from yesterday. Flight was only slightly delayed. The grandkids liked their view Part of my day was spent chasing them around this. Almost a full moon last night. I haven’t done a sunrise photo for a while, so here is pre sunrise. and sunrise Beach this morning.
  11. Where is the OP? So many questions! I say two more pages before this one gets locked, like sooo many others before it.
  12. Not true. I got it on a plane flight to California. If you want to talk spread, just go to any airport. How bad is it on a cruise ship? Only two people, out of the millions who have sailed since the restart, have died of Covid. Those are pretty good odds.
  13. As are 93 of the 94 ships they track. One MSC ship is yellow. Nothing new here. Ben this way for quite a while.
  14. Sorry that they felt bad enough to go to the ER. When we were on Allure in May, there were many walking around coughing and hacking. People did the same thing: avoided testing on the ship, because they didn’t want to go into quarantine, then waited until they were off the ship. People we shared a table with early in the cruise were prime examples. We saw them at dinner the last night, and then they reported and tested after they packed up. At least they got Royal to take care of them, because they tested on the ship, but in the meantime, they had already spread it around. OP should have tested on the ship. Highly unlikely a family goes from zero symptoms to requiring the ER in that short timeframe with this strain.
  15. +1 I am surprised at the number of people that get it, and those that are around them do not. I thought for sure that Susan or my grandson or DIL would have got it from me, but they didn’t. We saw some friends at a concert last night, and they had the same experience. Getting ready to test my packing skills this morning to fit six people, plus suitcases, backpacks, and carryon bags in the vehicle for the trip to the airport.
  16. Did you all test negative on the ship before you disembarked?
  17. That is pricy for a JS. I have an 8 day on Harmony in a JS for half that.
  18. It seems that my viewing this summer has been changed to watching kid friendly movies. 😀 We are currently watching the Ice Age movies. I never watched any of them before. We have made it through the first three movies so far. They are amusing.
  19. Susan never learned how to swim either, but she usually will have a life vest on or a wetsuit, whenever she is in water over her head. My kids all went to classes to learn to swim, and the grandkids are all learning swim. Today is packing day for our trip to Myrtle Beach tomorrow.
  20. Just how big was the wedding onboard, that you didn’t notice extra people until the photos came back?
