  1. +1 @Jimbo Hope symptoms are mild. I think my wife’s bout with Lyme disease was harder on her this year than Covid was. I think the strains now seem to be more like a cold.
  2. I think you may have me confused with someone else. At least I don’t think I have any mobility issues. I don’t think I would have any trouble navigating anything there. By the way, I just had my 8 year anniversary of wearing a Fitbit activity tracker. I was surprised at the numbers I put up in that period of time.
  3. Bingo! You are quick with the answer. My daughter does that every year for her first grade students. They grow from those microscopic crawlers, to bigger caterpillars. To a chrysalis (which is hard to see here) To eventually a butterfly. The butterfly just emerged, and I had to rush out and buy an orange and take to her at school this morning. That is so the butterfly can feed, until the kids are in school to release it.
  4. Tender boat pictures you say. OK! Let's start with the oldest ones I took, which just reinforces the perception that I am old. This one is from tendering at St. Thomas. That is right, we had to tender here for our first cruise in 1980, which also was our honeymoon cruise. Yes, I just got a piece of the tender, but it was heading to the ship in the background. Yep, there is still one tied up along the SS Norway as we are approaching. The carried the two tenders on the ship, and they were lowered from the davits at the bow. Next up, how about tendering from a Royal ship? This is a tender to get us from Independence of the Seas to Belize. And a couple tied up along side the ship What about tendering at Grand Cayman? We were tendering from Voyager, but Celebrity Solstice was also there for their tender runs. It must be a thing for Princess to use their life boats for tendering. Here they are tendering in Gatun Lake from the Coral Princess. And on the mini golf courses, the Coral had one that looked a little nicer than the one you posted, but definitely not up to par with Royal. What about tendering with Celebrity. Here we are going to CocoCay from Celebrity Summit, in the days before it was developed and the pier put in. More tendering, you say? Back to Princess using their lifeboats. Here we are tendering from the Grand Princess to Lahaina, Maui. And, mini golf on the Grand. And lastly, although I know we didn't swim ashore, I only had photos of the ship from the shore. Independence of the Seas at Villefranche-sur-Mer, France.
  5. My grandson Daniel’s 11th birthday was Friday, so we were at our daughter’s house for his party yesterday. Football theme party, they had a cake decorated as a Patrick Mahomes trading card. All of the boys at the party got several packs of trading cards to open for one of the games. Those with the best cards would win prizes.
  6. Say it ain’t so!! @Sunshine3601 or @sgmn or @Jimbo, or anyone else sailing now. Has Royal completely done away with the Apple blossom desert? After they switched from that raisin filled apple pie to the Apple blossom, that was one of Susan’s favorite deserts. She can’t eat anything with raisins in, because she is highly allergic to them. Her sister and BIL are on Liberty this week, and she told her that was one of her favorites. They haven’t seen it on their menu (not even the kid menu). Sure enough, I pulled up their sailing on the app, and I don’t see it any night. I also looked at our December Symphony sailing, and I don’t see it there either, although the menu wouldn’t be correct this far out. I may have to sweet talk our waiters to bring some pie from JRs. They have done that before when their pies had raisins, and JRs didn’t.
  7. I was just going to say that I had not seen a post from you lately. Glad your tests all came back normal. I thought maybe you had gone off the grid in that new motor home.
  8. It is so hard to find anyone who is good with plaster. We were able to find someone who was excellent at matching the plaster designs on the walls. I understand that the designs are almost like a signature, and many can tell who did the work, by looking at the design.
  9. Best of luck to Owen in his upcoming season. He is a good looking young man. So you are saying you may need me to send you o e of these shirts I saw in the store the other day?
  10. Not a painful tooth saga, but a dentist saga. I had a dentist appointment this morning. This is a fairly new (to us) dentist, because our old dentist retired during the pandemic. He has Televisions mounted above the chair, so you can watch it while they are working on your teeth. Usually, they have a game show on, but today, they had some animal show on, and they were operating on a dog’s mouth. Let me just say, it was not something I wanted to see while they were working on me.
  11. Yesterday, found a nice orchard of American Chestnut trees. After seeing those posts about Christmas decorations, I couldn’t get those “chestnuts roasting on an open fire” lyrics out of my head. I know I will be back here in a couple weeks to collect some when they are ripe. I think we will roast a few.
  12. As others have said, the vest or noodles keep you afloat. I have one of the full face masks, and I love it. You just breathe like you do when you are walking around. After using it, I will never go back to the other types.
  13. My daughter asked me to do some wall repair and painting, where their baby gate use to be. I guess it is past time for it to come down. So I was there to work on the patching today. I kept getting a lot of unsolicited help, until I moved the helper to a more comfortable spot.
  14. I mentioned we went to the WaterFire festival last night. It originated in Providence, RI, and they have a license to put it on here in PA. Waterfire’s theme was “Come Sail Away With Us” The Indian sailed up and down the river to give it a blessing. After lightning the main fire on one of the bridges, they started lighting the braziers. Not sure what the use, but they caught fire quickly Torches lined the bridges The main fire on one of the bridges was roaring And, the river had nice reflections from the fires Yes, there was smoke on the water. And more than one kind in the air.
  15. I agree, Greg. According to the menu, they only opened in July, so maybe they are on a learning curve. I may need to write a review on it to give them some feedback. When I ordered the Hurricane, I was expecting something like this. I have yet to find one as good as they make at Pat O’Briens.
