  1. On our sailing last week on the Sky, the twice baked goat cheese souffle was offered as a main, rather than a starter. We've always gotten it as a starter, and last week we ordered it as one anyhow. It was somewhat larger than the version we've gotten in the past but not that much larger. My hubby said that he would have been very unhappy with the portion size if he'd ordered it as a main.
  2. That's too bad. Mine is the wrong color, and I've been getting around to getting it changed. I hate the thought of having to wrangle this more than once.
  3. That wasn't our experience at all. One line that everyone was herded into. We didn't have a big wait either time we went there, but I'm sure that was one long line sometimes.
  4. On the Sky last week, I called room service. After getting turned down on coffee packages, I swapped the entire mini bar for sparkling water. Not my first choice (coffee) but it was a nice second choice.
  5. Crowne Grill: salted caramel creme brulee cheesecake. We like that so much that on the Sky last week when we didn't make it to the Crowne Grill, we just ordered it through room service.
  6. Here's another minor complaint I have. No more elite/suite line at customer service, at least not on the Sky last week. Minor but annoying. I'm wondering how soon it's going to be that they lock a single internet package to a single device, rather than to one device at a time. That's certainly doable, and since they're shaking us all down for every additional penny, it seems to me that they'd see this as another revenue stream. I'm not all that angry at Princess, just several little annoyances that will factor into whether I continue cruising on Princess or go off and be annoyed by another company.
  7. I've whined a lot about not getting to swap for coffee packages, but I was actually pretty happy with swapping for all sparkling water. That was really nice to have waiting in the fridge on those hot days.
  8. I don't know about that. Right around that timeframe others were reporting the same result I got. I chose not to argue the point. Just to go away and complain about it. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  9. We just got off the Sky, the 2/25 sailing which must have been the one you were on. I called room service pretty much as soon as we got on the ship, and they turned me down flat on swapping the mini bar for coffee packages. Said that option was discontinued. Either they like you better than they like me, or you were lucky in who you talked to. ๐Ÿ™‚
  10. We just got off what I think was a full sailing. Didn't seem crowded to us. Can't say as to seating in the evening since we don't go to any venues in the evening.
  11. Have you tried changing the number of people to see what shows? Sometimes or always a lot of cabins won't show for 2 people but they will for 3.
  12. Sadly, Port Valet is only available for flights no earlier than noon.
  13. I haven't heard anything on these items. They ought honor them as purchased but who knows.

  16. I don't have a solid answer on that. Just my own observations. We're on the Sky right now. Some of the food has been outstanding, some fairly good, and others just okay. Before this cruise, we were last on the Discovery and the food on that ship was much better on average. I will say that the buffet here on the Sky is outstanding.
  17. No, the Princess website is just as perfect as it ever was. And we all know how perfect that is. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  18. I'm glad you were able to do the swap. We boarded the Sky yesterday and were told that was discontinued. Boo! Hiss!
  19. I have a sneaking suspicion that Princess picked a price they wanted to charge and then threw some random stuff on it to get people to buy.

New Grounds Coffee Package Terms & Conditions What is Included The package includes the pre-purchase of a specified number of specialty coffees (numbers vary by itinerary) during the voyage of purchase, as well as complimentary brewed coffee and hot chocolate. Guests may redeem the number of specialty coffees purchased in the package in locations where espresso is available. This will include select bar and dining areas and varies by ship and/or itinerary. Selections and service are limited to that venueโ€™s menu offerings and operating hours. Package Details and Qualifications The package may be pre-purchased up to 4 days prior to boarding the vessel. The package is NOT available for pre-purchase within 3 days of sailing. The coffee package is valid only on the voyage for which it is purchased. If the maximum number of coffees pre-purchased are not used during the voyage, the remaining value will NOT be credited or refunded and is NOT transferable for any purpose.   23. I recommend the walking/jogging track on Sports deck. It goes all the way around the top of the ship, so you can get different views. It is, however, completely uncovered. Depending on the weather, that might be a deal-breaker.
