  1. The M6 minis on Marina and Lido are the front corners of those decks, so there are four of them. Both decks have larger than normal balconies, and the ones on Marina have huge balconies that extend out over the bridge. The floor plan of these is way above average, in our opinion. There's some separation between the living and sleeping areas so when my hubby gets up at way-too-early oclock, he has access to the living area, the bathroom, and the balcony without disturbing me. These are also club class, or to use the new term, reserve collection. We like that a lot. These cabins are convenient to the resources on Lido deck and the walking/jogging track up top. There's a big window in the sleeping area that makes for great star watching. Those are the merits. There are what some folks would consider to be downsides or deal breakers, but not us. Top of the ship, way forward you get any motion that's available. We like that. the balconies are steel fronted, rather than glass. We don't mind that. If it's foggy, you will definitely hear the foghorn. We tolerate that. These cabins are about as far away from the main dining rooms as you can get. We're fine with that. That's about it. I keep thinking I'm going to stop recommending these, since there are so few of them and I'm probably making them harder to get. But I find myself recommending them anyway.
  2. If I were shopping for myself, I'd give the nod to the Enchanted since it has our favorite cabin type, the M6 minis on Marina.
  3. In my opinion, that's a good cabin. Cabins above and below, so less noisy . Larger than standard balcony. I wouldn't book it for us, since hubby doesn't like aft but I do think it's a good cabin.
  4. They might actually be able to sell me an ice cream package!
  5. I can tell you that this is easily doable if you're on a desktop computer. Not sure at all what it would look like on mobile. Log into your account. From your list of 1 to X number of upcoming cruises, choose the one you want to work with by clicking the big, green button. Choose Travel from the top options bar. Choose to manage flights. You'll see a page showing what you have. Look over to the right and find the seat selection link. Click that. You'll get a seat map where you can choose seats. Make your choices and save them. The darn Princess site is erroring out on me again, so this isn't exactly what each step says, but it should get you there.
  6. I haven't noticed this. The closest I can come to it is the fact that I've noticed on more than one cruise all the fruit flavored yogurt except for peach was gone. I guess people on those sailings didn't like peach yogurt.
  7. When we were on the Ruby in Spring of 2022, we asked our waiter if he could set this up. He went away, came back, and told us we were all set. He said to show up on time, since the table could disappear on us if we didn't. This was on the first night out - loved the table and liked the waitstaff a lot.
  8. They gave the two of us a large bottle in the Crown Grill, but I wouldn't expect it anywhere else. No extra charge that time.
  9. Deck 7 midship is marked as piazza. It looks to me like that extends up to decks 8 and 9.
  10. I was several cruises in before I found out I could ask for price drops.
  11. That's a question that springs to my mind! If they have one mdr that requires more formal attire, what happens when someone who's way casually dressed turns up for dinner and is told there's going to be a wait for a table in a casual mdr? While tables sit empty in the more formal one? Seems to me like that can happen and that the passenger(s) isn't/aren't going to be happy.
  12. I'd like to know that too, but I've got nothing. We really like club class, but I figure that by the time this ship does a sailing we want to go on (location, ports) plenty of people will be able to tell us.
  13. Cruisedeckplans has the casino on deck 8. Who knows if that's finalized.
  14. This: "The three decks will each have their own personalities, offer different dining experiences and range in levels of formality." is very interesting. Different levels of formality? I wonder how that's going to pan out.
  15. I loved the part that was over the volcano and the lava flowing into the sea! We nearly froze before we got over the volcano. We only had light jackets on, and it was really cold. Loved hanging out the missing door.
  16. The best excursion we've ever done anywhere was the doors off helicopter on Hilo. This company has lots of tours on several islands, but I'd certainly recommend the doors off tour. https://paradisecopters.com/tours/island/hilo-doors-off-lava-and-rainforest-adventure
  17. That wouldn't work well for us, since we don't drink alcohol and it's less expensive for us to just pay for the things that we do want. Plus, we really like trading the mini bar for two coffee packages.
  18. As above, except I prefer the Crown Grill. I like the lamb chops and the salted caramel creme brulee cheesecake. 😃
  19. That's exactly what I do - black and navy in long and capri. LOL. I tried the shorts, but after they were washed they were too short for my lumpy old legs. The crops are longer than I like, so it's always capris and long ones for me.
  20. I pretty much live in Land's End sport knit pants of various lengths. So, anybody on the same cruise as me would definitely see at least one, if they stipulated that I'm a lady.
  21. I haven't actually stayed in one of these, but the premium deluxe balconies on deck 11 aft look very good to me. Large, half-covered balcony. Cabins above and below. These hit all the sweet spots for me, except for the aft location. Oddly, my hubby doesn't like aft cabins.
  22. I think this is very dangerous, and I also think that guy would try to sue the cruiseline if his child fell over while he was doing that.
  23. I was on that sailing, and I really appreciated the efforts put forward on this so we could see the eclipse. I'm booked on the Discovery Princess for the 24 eclipse and am hoping Princess will step up and do likewise.
  24. I wonder why/how it changed. For our sailing of last August, the app clearly picked up the fact that we're elite since I bought the internet package at the discounted rate.
  25. Looks like a good cruise, but I'll probably stick with the Discovery Princess. She's in Mazatlan the eclipse day, so total eclipse there. I've noticed some of the cruiselines have Mexican Riviera cruises before and after the eclipse timeframe. I'm betting there'll be at least one other eclipse cruise in that area. Holland has two, but the prices on theirs are through the moon. Oddly, Princess didn't bump the prices up at all. Think somebody screwed up on that?
