  1. I think somebody ought to start a pool and sell squares. 🤣 My bet would be another swing and miss.
  2. It makes sense to me to roll it out month by month, but in that case they need to stop emailing me with a booking number for a cruise next February and telling me I can book on the first day anybody can.
  3. I just got that email, and I'm standing by, eagerly anticipating the timely and well-working completion of this. I'm sure it's going to be perfect, whenever they get it launched. Hah! 🤣😂
  4. So far, in my case at least, the only thing that Princess has managed to accomplish is to delete the reservations that I already had. This is for a cruise in February 2025. Any guesses as to whether they'll have this fixed by then?
  5. Well at least I'm still getting those never-ending pitches wanting me to apply for the Princess credit card. Which I have no intention of doing. But at least I'm still getting those. 🤣
  6. I've seen that here, but I can't remember where. This is the easy math I run every time. I add up the things I'll actually use in the packages and see how that compares to what it costs. For us, it's never financially attractive, so I don't buy the packages. But I do run the math every time I book.
  7. We cruised out of LA in April and arrived at LAX at about the same time you are. We had a short wait, certainly under a half hour and got on one of the first buses out. That puts you at the pier at somewhere in the neighborhood of 11:00. Ish. We were green lane and boarding was very quick.
  8. Yeah. That. It would be very easy to do - or it would be if they had any idea at all when it's going to happen.
  9. I hadn't heard that, but I don't disbelieve it. In that case, Princess shouldn't have sent me an email saying I could book on 6/17. They surely know when I'm cruising!
  10. If I say that Princess has fully lived up to my expectations on this will that be sarcastic enough? 🤣😂
  11. I haven't seen anybody here on any other the other threads or anybody in a FB group who's been able to set up reservations. Some people have called in and gotten it done. Is anybody here surprised it's not going like they said it would?
  12. Good to know. I wonder if I'm wasting my time. The cruise I'm trying to book for isn't until next February, and it would make sense if they rolled this out in stages. I'm only forging ahead on it due to strong preference on the part of my hubby for fixed dining.
  13. Well, can I childishly complain that it didn't start at 9:00 am, PDT?
  14. I haven't run into that yet, but I'd find it frustrating too. If I did run into that, I'd be getting with my PCC, since she could probably get me an assigned cabin. If I didn't have a PCC or TA, then I would do the thing that none of us want to do - call in to book. Failing all of that, I simply wouldn't book a cruise. I've grown very picky about where I want to put us.
  15. My understanding and based on when we used to book guarantees sometimes is that it can happen anytime between right after booking and when you arrive at the pier. That isn't much help, is it? 🙂
  16. I can't either. I'm betting 9:00 am, Pacific time. If all goes well.
  17. I have never seen this option. I'm new to HAL also, and for my first booking I'd called in to get Club Orange. I picked the cabin we wanted and asked the phone rep to mark it "no upgrade." He (or she, don't remember) acted like I had two heads. Said that HAL never did upgrades. 🤔
  18. I'm sure of that too. Looking at the deckplans, I think there's an excellent chance they were under the main galleys. That would be very noisy.
  19. Those two points are what I'm wondering about - what time and which restaurant will be handling with type of dining. I'm wanting a table for two in early traditional, and who can tell how popular that option will be. I'm guessing pretty popular.
  20. I'm on this one the week before, sailing on the 7th. This is a one-way, from Whittier to Vancouver. You would fly into Anchorage and go from there to Whittier, Princess bus or other. I'm doing it as part of the 9 day cruisetour with bear viewing at Brooks. This cruise is a good choice, since it hits both Hubbard and Glacier Bay. It's possible to get rain and/or fog in either place, but having both on the same cruise gives you two chances for a spectacular glacier viewing.
  21. This is true. It's a very rare night that I don't have to get up and trek off to the bathroom. I'd be a very unhappy cruiser to have to leave the cabin in the middle of the night and find a working public toilet.
  22. Only you can say if it would be worth it to you. For me, it absolutely is. My hubby is a really sweet guy, but he really (really, really) hates standing in line. If I can pay only $10 to possibly prevent standing in a line, then I'll do it every last time.
