  1. Man, this makes me think I need to add more diversity to my cruising. Agree - Barcelona is awesome. Though the years, I've added days both before and after sailing. I just love Barcelona.
  2. I'm glad that celebrity allows customers to choose. Wonderful.
  3. My cruise is already booked. So, yes, I'm most interested in a sale on items in thr cruise planner.
  4. Thank you. We sail on Seascape Dec 9. Taking a couple first timers that are hoping for Christmas decorations
  5. When does MSC usually put up Christmas decorations? Seascape
  6. Oh my, with all that's been going on with documentation challenges impacting boarding, I would certainly check with MSC a few times as well as a really good travel agent as you work through everyone getting the documentation they need. Good luck. Hope it works out.
  7. From postings from recent and current cruises, ships seem to still be sailing rather full. Even with school holidays over and peak summer vacations over, cruisers are still reporting full sailings, at least for the sailings I've seen posted about. I'm not sure which itineraries you are checking on.
  8. Yes. I was really surprised by the sparseness of the thermal suite area on E class. I'm passing on it on my upcoming Ascent cruise.
  9. What did they used to give? Im a newbie, well in February.
  10. I will be sailing on the Ascent, an Edge class Celebrity ship, in February. We have a sunset Veranda. I selected this cabin because I wanted someone special as it's my birthday cruise also. I read about the "window Verandas" like you did also. From what I read, the impact on temperature was mainly about the AC not being on if you have the window/door open or not locked. Other than that, I had not read that the rooms are hot in general. Can someone who has sailed in a Veranda room clarify this? Just hoping to help the OP with more info about the room temperature in those cabins since she says she can't find any sunset rooms available for that Apex sailing.
  11. When I had the refreshment package, I specifically ordered the mocktail that I wanted. When I went to each bar, I inquired about options. Some had a few different options, others just asked what kind of drink I liked and they made me something based on that. The bar staff will not specifically know that you want a mocktail without you saying so.
  12. Ok. More than one person shared that comment so I asked about their experience. Good to read that you had a good experience. Thanks
  13. Wow! I will be new to sailing on Celebrity in 2024. Sounds like a pretty limited "perk". 🤔 I don't drink actually, but my sailing companion does. Just l99ked at the menu. That's a head scratcher to be regarded as a benefit or perk for loyalty.
  14. So, no drink benefit at all for Elite and above on the first day of a sailing?
  15. Yes, this is so much better. What if you want a drink before 5pm or after 7pm? Do you just lose your benefit? How much do people order during that 2 hour window? I have my first Celebrity cruise coming up in February. Sounds like Royal definitely wins in the drink benefit category. That's sad.
  16. What kind of odd smell existed? What was the cause of it? Considering sailing on her at the end of the month. Thanks!
  17. Thinking about booking a sailing later this month. A couple folks above mentioned a bad smell in some areas. Did you experience that?
  18. Hello All, I'm almost at Diamond. I'm looking to book an inexpensive sailing to get me there. I need just 2 more solo sailings. I'm looking at Explorer of the Seas on Nov 25. Interior room. That's different for me because I usually sail in balcony cabins. But, I'm looking for best price in this situation. Cabin 8301 is a Promenade interior. Beside that cabin is a gray space. Anyone know what that space might be used for? Any pros and cons to this type of room? Other than possible noise from the activity below and lack of balcony of course. I'm OK with a small space in this specific situation. Also, the full situation is that I will be sailing Celebrity in early February for my birthday I would like to be Diamond with Royal before that Feb Celebrity sailing so I can be Elite on Celebrity for that sailing. I get it that some may ask, Why chase loyalty status. Just because I do not want to start at the lowest point level in Select with Celebrity and have to climb from there. So, I just want to start Celebrity at Elite. That's all. Two solo sailings with Royal will get me there, so I'm booking whatever fits my schedule and budget in this short time frame. Thanks
