  1. I have a similar question, but adults that love nature. No teens.
  2. I just called and a MSC agent linked them. It was super easy. I don't usually experience the problems some people report on here when calling. So, I never dread calling. It was easier to call than for me to fuss around online.
  3. There are tons of YouTube videos as well that include this info from fellow cruisers.
  4. Man, that price for a 7 day Caribbean cruise on MSC. I know you all are talking about discounts, but the price of that cruise caught my eye. I know that's just an example when looking for the discount info, but man. Unless there are more filters selected than I can see, that's just a base starting price. Nope. That is a fast pass for a starting price.
  5. Did you take the ferry on your own instead of booking an excursion through the cruise? If yes, what was the cost of the ferry? Where did you meet the ferry? How did you book it? And, how much was the eblntrance fee at Blue Lagoon? I'm asking these questions because I have gone there on a ship excursion in the past. If you did this on your own, I wonder how that compares in cost and ease. Thanks
  6. The Green Wave is the Aurea class MDR that offers Aurea guests any time dining? If yes, please share more about how the Fantastica folks were able to dine in the MDR for Aurea guests? That question is asked here a lot. Thanks
  7. Thank you. Interesting that you found the ship to be hot. I've never experienced that on a cruise and kind of never thought that would be an issue. Usually I find it cool on shops. Thanks for sharing about your experience.
  8. Thank you. Did you have issues with elevators being slow or crowded spaces? Any other significant issue during your cruise? Thanks
  9. Thanks. I noticed that after. So, I figured folks from the prior Caribbean season might chime in. It was too late to edit my question. I sailed on her during a prior Caribbean season. Had a great time.
  10. Hello All, I see a lot of chatter on these forums about the Seascape and a few about the Seaside and the Meraviglia. I'm wondering how it has been sailing on the Seashore lately. I wanted to sail on Seascape, but with all the complaints in the past few months, I'm thinking about changing to the Seashore since I've sailed on her before and had a good experience. If you sailed on the Seashore lately, please tell me about your experience. Thank you!
  11. This is crazy. What is wrong with people. I read so much about drama with elevators on Seascape, but Seashore has these same elevators and I don't see people reporting as much drama about that shop or those elevators. Man, makes me want to go back on thr Seashore versus the Aeascspe. What's so special about Seascape that people are having so many more issues with the elevators on this ship? My goodness. Does MSC need to play a video in the cabins about how to use the elevators properly.
  12. Certainly. I was responding to the comment about free laundry For almost everybody
  13. When did the free laundry benefit start for everyone? Sounds awesome. I ask jokingly. There are cruisers that do not have this benefit yet.😉
  14. Hello OP, I understand your post. I also lost weight and do not eat as much as I used to eat. I have sailed 3 times since then and have 2 more scheduled. For my first two cruises after losing weight, I also wondered about eating during the cruise and not wanting to be wasteful. Like you, I asked the MDR staff for smaller portions, but meals were served at portions that seemed regular which was too much for me. I talked with the wait staff each evening that I was in the MDR about it, and they helped reduce my concern about being wasteful, even though I would not eat all that was served. Sometimes portions were offered smaller, but at times, that depened on what the entre was. Those first two cruises were solo. In some ways that made food situations easier. I chose not to purchase specialty dining on those first two cruises post-weight loss. They were also during the cruise restart which made things easier too. My third cruise after losing weight was NOT solo and we did book some specialty dining restaurants. This time, I let the MDR waiter know that I eat smaller portions for medical reasons. When the food was served, I ate what I wanted, and left what was remaining. I did not feel concerned about it as that was my new norm at that point. Regarding wasteful from a money standpoint when it came to specialty dining restaurants, I had some thoughts about that since specialty dining is an additional cost, but I knew that when I purchased it, so I was able to not let that get to me too much. I had accepted that I paid for something and will not eat all of it. I paid for it because I wanted to enjoy the experience. To me, having a good experience does not mean that i have to eat a lot of something thats good. So, I took care of the money concern mentally before getting on the ship. plus, I value my weight loss which helps my health, so I am not critical of myself when there is food leftover. I do care about food waste in a large scheme of things, but I also care about my health. I ask for smaller portions. If that is honored, great. If not, I don't hold myself responsible for that. The waiters are kind which also helps me feel more comfortable. I'm not sure how long it's been since you lost your weight. For me it's been 2.5 years at this point. Smaller portions is my new norm. If you are newer to eating smaller portions or cruising post your weight loss, I understand your concern or question. Just wanted to share about my experience of how i became more comfortable over time and my concern reduced over time. Perhaps yours will as well. Also, my next two cruises have folks joining me that may help reduce any potential food waste for anything I don't eat, lol. Enjoy your cruises. Hopefully with less concern as time goes on. Take care, and congrats to you.
  15. Ok. I'm accustomed to fall breaks in October. Man.
  16. Thank you. Appreciate your post. When did you sail on the Seascape?
  17. The OP said that the ship was crowded? Is the week of Sept 17 some type of school holiday break somewhere?
  18. Wow. It's been months. Also, not sure if it's a big job that needs to be done. I was just thinking about the time limitation given that the ship is in and out for next sailings. Are there any updates on the elevators? Still long waits for non-YC guests And, have they fixed that damaged elevator panel for selecting the floor that you want? Thanks!
  19. Sometimes some people think that by being obnoxious, people will get scared or worried and do what they want. I've seen it. People think pitching a fit, even when wrong, will get them what they want. Usually, when I see it, it gets them a good internal laugh from me, lol.
  20. How was the wait for the elevators (without override - for nonYC folks)? Does it seem like the elevators are working any better or arrive faster than reported during the summer? Have you heard any reports of when the damaged glass will ne replaced do the infinity nrigldhe starboard side can be reopened?
  21. Oh no. Other than this smell, what else is impacting your disappointment? That's a lot of money to be "not impressed". So many folks on here rave about YC and make it sound like the only way to cruise. Hope your experience improves.
  22. Ok. Thanks. I was wondering if there was something more. Thanks
  23. Hi there, What has MSC changed up recently? It's hard to know if I know all the changes. Man, all the lines have been making changes during 2023. One after another. Changes, changes, changes. Most of those changes, the cruisers do not like. Thanks!
