  1. Actually unfortunately not true. Agree with Jimbo .. it's up to each ship if they want to refund extra port fees. Personally I got 0 back from missing a port for weather. Its carnival who always refunds port fees ... not royal. I have this in writing from writing to mbayley.
  2. I thought you were asking if you could order more than one entree. The title asked about limits so I thought you meant how many of each could you order. I didnt say you said you thought 2 were allowed. I simply answered I'm only aware of one being allowed. I didnt misread anything that I'm aware of. .. was answering what i thought was the question. .. one entree. .. though it seems odd you even brought up 2 lobsters could be ordered in Mdr if you thought it might have no relevance.
  3. I know most dont follow stocks but new home builders have been on a tear and hitting all time highs. CNBC was talking about how some new home prices are slipping below existing home prices and could still cause prices to really come down. People dont want to sell and give up those 3% mortgages. I track my condo in Florida on zillow very closely. Zillow says price averages down 11k in the last 30 days (when I click on my own address). Im crossing my fingers prices stop dropping. My little house in dallas I have to sell next year, I hope to at least break even. Prices are up but I spent a lot here too fixing it to my standards. I dont look forward to the whole selling and moving. Fingers crossed. Nothing I can do now but watch.
  4. The email carnival is sending out supposedly has a discount code. Agree worthless if you dont want to buy cheers at almost full price. It was fun for a few hours to think we scored.
  5. Yes of course those are per person. My TA quotes the whole amount, not pp. I'm solo. Group, then D+, then DP340. My feb wonder and yours might originally be the same except I had solo added to the price you said. I did a screen shot of harmony nov 26. But I have 3 more on harmony. You asked for march 2024 on harmony. My TA probably has lower group rates... but just going on rcl site i see $1718 solo for a ov balcony plus fees. I dont have quotes as I'm not a TA on the group rates he has. Hopefully I got identifying info blacked out. Harmony .. then my most expensive, wonder.
  6. The most expensive in my signature is wonder feb 2025 about $1600. Inside balcony. I prefer shade but will take whatever balcony. Utopia 4 day $997 for boardwalk. Over $200 a day. I agree, pricey but not 3k. If I was seeing 3k I wouldn't book either. If I was seeing 3k I too would say no. I'd show you any of my bookings. .. jubilee and prima much higher. The 4 I booked on harmony, 3 are well under 1k. Oct 2024 right at $1k for 8 days to coco cay. I recently added the 3 on adventure .. decided I had to make some decisions about moving to florida and assume I will get there. The 2 that are 8 day are one below and one over $1300. New ports. I agree pushing $200 a day and its adventure OTS but DR, etc new ports to me. Looking forward to new ports. I was shocked prices doubled before I booked, but not so bad I didnt book. I read someone got a nice balcony for xmas 2024 for $750 and am jealous, but booked the 6 day 2024 xmas too. Adventure. My signature has from $659 and $666 allure next month, inside balconys up to the nearly $1600 wonder. I've never done 3 weeks in a row, booked harmony nov 26, dec 3 and dec 10 and thought well I can always cancel 1. Now that I'm seeing new prices i am going to do all 3 weeks. Cant book harmony any more for not much above $100 a day. While no good deals, also not so awful imo I am unwilling to book. I just try and not think how much 13 booked cruises is in total. Then I feel bad. How much I spend cruising.
  7. In the past its ONE entree, not 2 included. Though if you wanted a taste of another or didnt like what you got I'm sure a 2nd entree allowed. If 2 were allowed I would rather the large lobster and the largest fillet lol. Not the surf n turf. Maybe someone else can say if they ordered 2 entrees. You quoted something different, 2 lobsters in Mdr..doesnt necessarily apply to steak house.
  8. Comparing Icon price to other ships doesnt seem like apples to apples. Maybe compare ships being built prices to Icon. Wonder is my highest but I have DP340 so not close to your price. I vote my wallet and except for my Bella cruises which I ignore price .. royal prices win for me. Unlike others here I havent been loyal to royal. I book best value and no other line gives solos a discount. I'm just going by my wonder prices .. wonder Icon and utopia are higher than the rest of the fleet. I've been checking ncl prima and carnival jubilee .. my harmony balcony is less.
  9. For the last year or two I can book a inside balcony on oasis class for less than a inside on carnival. When was the last time you booked carnival .. not when was the last time you cruised with them.. booked so you saw their prices. True royal gives me a nice discount but royal is almost always less expensive. Royal cruises are the least expensive when I compare out of Galveston.. I havent really compared florida but out of texas carnival doesnt have cheaper prices. And I check often.
  10. For a while the 6 cruises from Galveston to coco cay were my most expensive cruises. Harmony is doing 6 next year. Cost was more than wonder ... people from texas cant wait to go to coco cay. Wow what a great itinerary. My cabin was pushing $4k, wonder was only $3,400. That central park balcony gty now is only $1539 pp .. was $1739 .. cheapest date. Going to exotic coco cay from texas. ..and that's the cheapest date. Some dates well over $5k but for such a itinerary how can you say no. Down over $200 pp for a central park balcony
  11. Probably not related. The increased charges they speak of are before pizza gate. Just a article confirming other threads about the increases. I'm wondering if prices will level out. My 8 day to coco cay out of Galveston has decreased in price .. finally seeing prices drop instead of going up. Maybe rcl has reached the point they lose sales or decrease.
  12. I can remember when chops offered surf n turf. Lobster and a fillet included in the price of dinner. Now lobster is a upcharge over and above the cost of your dinner. I think carnival is up to $48 for their steak place but they still offer surf n turf. Everything is up. Grocery shopping is always a shock. I've given up trying to save.
  13. Well for me a savings of $70 as I wouldnt buy it normally. Mostly just used cheers when I had it for specialty coffee. Coffee isnt that expensive. I would bet they got a lot like me who normally can justify the cost. Disappointed but not surprised.
  14. That's what it said. He just doesnt want to give any extra credit.
  15. The 2 times I've had cheers it was part of the rate. A little higher rate, and the rate dropped maybe $300 if you had a regular rate, so as it turned out wasnt much if any deal. But I got to try it. It's been a while since I've seen it as part of the rate.
  16. Yea I would have posted to buy it right away, dont leave it in your cart. It's a mistake. I'm guessing it will be monday before the beards are back in to work business hours. We wouldnt know until at least Monday.
  17. Most people dont seem to know much about what is allowed. Carnival cant charge without your consent. We might not know until monday what if anything they will do. My guess is cancel and refund. It would be a hassle onboard if only one in a cabin had it. That probably wouldnt fly so even for those of us solo without anyone else in the cabin .. my bet is cancel and refund. I wished later I'd done the rcl glitch, extra $50 obc when they cancelled it the following week.
  18. On the other hand I'm in shock over the price of carnival excursions which seem to hardly ever, or never go on sale. The last excursions I did on rcl were 30% off. .. and lots of choices under $50 and less. Last sept I paid 35% off excursions. I'm at 64.99 on carnival excursions I could get for half or not much more. Royal I look forward to black friday and huge discounts. What will carnival do? Right now I'd love to see a sale on excursions or pay restaurants... I'd take some fluctuating for a cheaper price. And pay restaurants... where are the sales? Why complain about sales ... when carnival has almost no sales. Why would someone prefer no sales and paying full price?
  19. I can see why the OP asked. Royal and idk but probably celebrity their drink packages are good on their private islands. Royal drink package is good upon boarding in texas. Never boarded in NY. It is confusing if you ask me to remember rules for different lines. I can order a margarita on rcl when I board and counts toward my total free drinks in texas .. but carnival says nope we dont want the bother, your drink pkg good tomorrow morning. I have trouble remembering how much tips are tbh, but wait suites cleaned twice a day on rcl but once a day on carnival. How do people remember every detail. Since other lines allow their drink pkgs to be used on their islands, I can see why someone is confused.
  20. I would have added it for everyone in the cabin. I dont hardly drink but for $70 I'm paying to get coffee every morning, maybe a few cokes. It will probably be cancelled. Apparently john heald is already talking to the boards. It will be most likely shut down soon to book.
  21. Thanks for the post. I have a 14 day cruise. I hardly drink and the 2 out of 3 last cruises I had it hardly drank ... but I'd pay that much for coffee. Let's see if they allow it.
  22. Ok I take it back. It may or may not be included. Different drink packages. Read this twice and I'm confused. I had cheers on carnival and never went over .. but HAL does have different options.
  23. There already are, for the lobster and steak. .. going to get even more pay options?
  24. Isnt it odd to you only the one picture? No one else has a picture of cookies for a fee. Idk .. just wondering. I will wait for something other than the one picture. Odd to me no one here knows. Just saying they saw the same picture.
