I did disputes nd people think they can do a charge back and the charge is no longer owed. Sometimes companies even send you to a collection agency if you do a charge back. The bottom line is you still owe the money as carnival is out the money you charged back. It's a fallacy to think you got the money back because the company agreed. Sometimes it's as simple as the company did not respond by the required date and was charged back. Pay what you owe and the problem goes away. A lot of people dont understand the dispute process and think they won, means the charge went away. We carefully word the letter saying the temporary credit we issued will remain on your account. People read things into this like we said we agree. We carefully never say that. We know we cant say certain things.

Allure just got to Galveston and we had something like 177 pinns onboard, which I suspect is a high amount. Many were on for multiple weeks once allure got to texas mid nov. I suspect we had more than normal pinnacles onboard though I dont follow numbers much but 177 or maybe was 173 .. lots were onboard. Even in diamond lounge. Gold pinns seemed everywhere.

Last dec on allure pinnacles only got 1 lunch and 1 dinner. We had a lot of pinnacles though. 2 dinners you did better.

Dining prices in cruise planner
firefly333 replied to CruisingHogFan's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I called once and cant get charged for difference. It was a really stupid employee who also said the excursion price didnt drop, the difference was the tax. There is no tax on excursions. I finally hung up. Found out just go into my planner and cancel myself. It turns out it's very easy. I use obc so refund was instant. Idk about losing your time but it's very easy to cancel and rebook. By yourself. -
Harmony of the Seas internet pricing
firefly333 replied to justjim9510's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Maybe do 3 devices and let the 4th person once onboard do the free days ..how much extra is it from 3 to 4 devices? Its almost always cheaper to buy ahead. Black friday deals best but keep looking. Onboard is way high. -

@Ourusualbeachit wasnt just me who couldnt get DP340 to work ... someone else just posted didnt work earlier for him either. -
It was $99 last black friday for bella1. I think the other one was also posted supposedly half price at $149 which is the one with lobster lunch. The lunch served is really nice. Id come closer to paying that than the thrill waterpark. Used to love rides though so close. I wouldn't personally pay over $100 pp.

Current Deposit Refund Policy?
firefly333 replied to BridgeMates's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Bella2 is the only one. I had my TA on board. Went to next cruise and booked solo refundable. Just for the extra obc. The guy at next cruise put it in TAs name. Sky high price for refundable but I knew it was temporary.. solo gets $75 obc, couple gets $76 obc if you book refundable, not $100. Full deposit. Then TA said he had it and moved to group rate and applied my DP340. Went from like $3300 to $1700. Half. Whew. Also D+ discount applied to group rates that gets lost in direct booking. Booked the double long balcony 10th deck .. again. I saw tree skier posted how much he saved. Hope I'm allowed. D+ discount isnt bigger than the $650 off so if you book direct you dont get it off, only off group space is what was explained to me. The $3300 price for a refundable was giving me a heart attack. To me that's high. Cheaper to book nonrefundable but then when you transfer it ta cant make it refundable group rate. .. I know everyone's discount is different. .. just giving a example. Hard to compare apples to apples since I ordinarily wouldnt have paid that much extra to book nonrefundable rates direct with next cruise. Wonder still isnt cheap, but now I can live with the price. -
In case you couldn't find it .. here it is. Not that easy to find. He takes excellent pictures. It's a small but beautiful ship. I was surprised by the dog house. Has hot dogs and sausage dogs. Near the buffet. Had roast beef sandwiches in the afternoons in the solarium where they put the pizza. Not as good as on a oasis class ship imo. Glass elevators and open decks where you can see out to sea in the middle of about 4 decks. Its considered a beautiful ship. See pictures.. worth looking at imo

Current Deposit Refund Policy?
firefly333 replied to BridgeMates's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Idk about new but for $100 pp you can transfer to another date. If you cancel you lose the deposit. I'd look for a TA who has refundable group rates. Many post here who have them. Then you can cancel up until final payment. -
If you book onboard be sure and get the refundable mlre expensive rate. Then the ta can move it to the group and get the groupmrate. Cant book onboard non refundable and then move it to refundable. As a solo booking onboard I only got $75 not $100 obc, so I gave up some obc but it's still the most obc I've had in a while. I got more from the ta to make up for the reduced and from stocks.

Carnival and Royal Differences -- Inquiring Minds Want To Know
firefly333 replied to 80sGal's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Isnt that including crew I read? A bit exaggerated lol. Personally I like how oasis class spreads the entertainment out from both ends and the middle of the ship. Better than smaller ships imo. Carnival in a crowd you can hear by the ding if it's up or down. I think 2 dings down, 1 ding it's a up elevator.. from someone who has cruised on carnival with someone hc and waited a a elevator after the show let out. Me I let stuff like that go. Doesnt bother me. -
I know, let's me tell ... from music man, Marian the librarian. Pick a little, talk a little cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep. Always think of @meriam-mom. I can quote way too many musical lyrics. . Can I tell her a TA ... "Maud:And the worst thingOf course, I shouldn't tell you this but-Alma:I'll tell.Ethel:The man lived on my street, let me tell.Eulalie:Stop! I'll tell." https://www.allmusicals.com/lyrics/musicmanthe/pickalittlegoodnightladies.htm

Royal Up for solo cruiser
firefly333 replied to Sweetsue5680's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Do a mock submission but dont submit. The small print clearly says all bids X 2. 1 or 4 .. doesnt matter, all bids x 2. -
@twangster did a Panama canal live review from about a month ago that has lovely shots of the ship. I did a 10 day on radiance march 27 to april 4? I think. Best service in a long time. Sat with other couples. I dont like anytime on rcl. Food was hot and cooked right. My steak was cooked right each time and my fish and chips the fish was crispy which hasnt always been the case. I think I sat close to the kitchen .. food and service and my steward one of the best ever. Beautiful ship, glass elevators. ...and I'm usually a oasis class ship fan .. but this was a great cruise.

I've booked last minute and had to go to the main baggage handler to get my cabin once..but it's very unusual not to know in time to print a luggage tag. I wouldnt worry but that's me and ive done more cruises than you. Dont worry about what you cant change is my motto.
-
That's what I'm thinking the 14 days panama or to hawaii a balcony would eat up the whole amount. Whichever your kids would rather but hawaii is a lot of fun. But panama canal on my bucket list. Been there and back but not thru the canal. My cruise in jan 2024 out of Galveston is wait listed and you have to call. Last I heard the only cabin was 6k. It's been sold out since april. You dont want Galveston anyway. Goes to aruba and curacao and Columbia and costa Rica and Panama. .. but it's also 14 days. I guess a fancy balcony or suite for a week would eat it up too.

From a blogger, take it for what it's worth. He said it's been hard to pin down but christine duffy from carnival said she is hoping the bahamas considers delaying this hike and consider all the value cruiselines pump into the bahamas. To me a reason to lock in prices now rather than later. Nothing we can do whatever they negotiate.

Double points for cruising single ?
firefly333 replied to volk904's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The 2 on adventure I booked recently dec 13 2024 and april 4 2025 imo are pricey enough I woukdnt book them just to chase points. PC is the busiest port in the world and prices are matching. That's why I thought a b2b 4/4 would be less expensive perhaps. The cheapest 8 day I found is on jewel out of Galveston which starts at $515. pp. Idk if the OP considered Galveston. Harmony is doing 6 months of 6/8/7/7. The oct 2024 in my signature is one of those 8 days going to coco cay and the price has gone crazy. Cheapest showing is over $1200 pp? I'm paying less for a inside balcony including taxes and fees. The prices for those 8 days have gone ballistic. 2 of the adventure in my signature are 8 days, eastern and southern. Adventure also does a 8 day western. Booked recently so still having sticker shock. I was just thinking right now isnt a good time to chase pts for the sake of chasing pts... but jewel out of Galveston might be the cheapest I see at $515 pp boring western ports imo. That's why I also suggested a 4/4 maybe some deals but maybe not. Compare both. I chased last year and did 4 legs on grandeur to get a fast 33 pts. No more cheap short cruises i see.
