Around labor day is the top of hurricane season. May 31 if there is a hurricane it's rare or not as strong. A hurricane gathers its strength from warm water. May the water isnt as warm as by early sept late august. Some insurance covers missed ports some doesnt so check your insurance if ports are important to you. It's rare a cruise is cancelled, very rare. I have missed ports. Trip interruption insurance. Hurricane ike hit Galveston when I was parked there and out on carnival conquest. Never saw my car again. My car was only 6 months old. Turns out there is a different kind of car insurance than if you have a accident. Different deductible, but since you are flying no worries about your car. Personally I dont care if I miss a port. Or two.

They seem to be on a fuel saving mission. Shorter cruises to close in ports. Someone posted maybe they are trying to drive us to celebrity. Some listings call it penthouse but it's the same as below just higher. The carpet is indy dark blue. Some pictures look black, some blue. Idk if I will eventually replace all that carpet or not. I dont mind the carpet and it's in good shape. Though i do want someone to clear it and bathrooms etc before I arrive with furniture. Most of my pictures are of stuff like oh boy 2 sinks in the master vanity. They are using the tennis courts for pickle ball and a nice library and pool. I'll use the library to exchange books. Idk if he was actually a owner or just a worker next door, dont know what to believe. He also said he wasnt a flipper but then they fixed it up and put it right up for sale. If she doesnt qualify and cant buy it I'll call one of those we buy for cash and still clear out. It was just funny it struck her too that stuff wasnt ringing true. Though I think she is sincere about wanting to buy. Idk about her "friend". She is cute as a button and beautiful.

The icon builds are more complicated and much more expensive. I was surprised at how much higher cost icon builds are. Galveston hopes to get it. They were disappointed to get allure back when harmony leaves, so maybe before then there will be news on icon #3. Not that many ports have LNG. I'm still in the we will see which one finishes first.

Good to see you Bonnie and that you are posting. Lots going on. I'm trying to not panic with so much to do before I can move. I started to cough about 3 nights after I got home from that 14 day carnival cruise. Think debarkation someone in the line near me was coughing though a tablemate said someone at the Mdr table behind us was coughing. She found me and another social media and frinded me. It's not any better and I'm still coughing up something. Dont know if related to the eye and nose discharge. My gp referred me to a polumogogist or something like that. I texted back I'll schedule after I ask the eye doctor. I see the eye doctor this thursday. I see the skin doctor next week on tuesday. This morning I went to nissan and got my oil changed and they wanted to sell me on lots of extra stuff, but they have been cheaper than going to a local place. Thursday I wired the money for the new condo closing, yesterday, late afternoon i signed the docs for closing. Monday is the official close date. I asked my realtor if he can pick up the keys and get me the hoa contact to set up hoa payments. He reminded me i need to call FPL and change the electricity to my name on Monday. Also whenever i want to call spectrum as internet and wifi included in my hoa. I'm trying to start sorting stuff here. Also to round up tax stuff this year. I'm missing NASA. NASA last year i called 3 weeks straight and had to set my alarm to call when they opened. My dad retired from NASA and mom was getting a tiny pension. These tiny pensions withheld taxes, so i now see why the CPA says we need to file for her personally too. 6 returns. I have heard a few get earlier times in person once onboard after they see if they have any unused tables for set early time dining.

Carnival is offering a 14 day more diverse ports out of PC and nothing more than adventure 8 days, same ole max days out of this port. Why can carnival offer more ports once in a while but rcl cant. It seems to me like rcl cutting fuel costs by a penny pincher than emissions to me. Even if its averages, then they could do a special longer sailing other than 1 nine day over NYE at sky high prices.

I see the dates are all wrong. Icon just started jan 2024, this year. Star august 2025. Your link says "The ship will join its two sister ships – to be delivered in 2022 and 2024, respectively." icon class and oasis class are built in different ship yards. Since they are still building star, I havent seen any news when a 3rd icon class will be built, but assume after star. 7th oasis class will start after utopia. It could be close which class a yet unnamed and not yet started ship will be finished. I am sure people were surprised with the announcement of a 7th oasis class and not a word lately about a 3rd icon class. We will see which finished first.

When you board you can go to a dining pedestal and ask to change to any time dining and ask for a time where you eat at a set table, or anytime allows you to stand in line and eat when you are ready each night. It's not as good as carnivals. Carnival you just push a button in the app and the computer matches you to a table whenever you want to eat. You cant have both early and anytime. One or thr other. If you have early someone said they were allowed to come up to 30 minutes later. If you are seated with others it can hold up the table ordering. I'd let the table know the night before if you will be late if you are early dining. So the waiter takes others orders and then when you arrive does yours.

Too bad you cant sell the offer to me. I keep thinking I need to take up gambling. The same number of points get offers worth more and more.

The only cruise I see I want is another of those carnival journeys cruise but it's around $3500 to pick a inside port hole cabin, 14 days, some new ro me ports. On the carnival Venezia and I'm not a italian fan and think that's a lot for a nonrefundable cruise. Those journey cruises only seem to go up. I'm not paying carnival a big nonrefundable deposit over a year in advance. $2500 maybe but not $3500. I think last time was a nonrefundable $900 deposit. For carnival. I havent left, just not booking anything. I agree it's all vacations are up in price. If it was royal I'd book but not carnival where I dont get my drink or wifi perks. I'd like to combine some things from both.

My time is anytime you want to eat. It's not a set time. 3 options. Early late and my time dining. Early dining usually 5 pm is a set time. They been clearing them out and seating anytime dining in between settings. You aren't both early dining and mytime.

I was in the same, except deck 10. For 2 to see the show you have to stand and look sideways. You cant sit in the chairs together and watch it at that angle.

You said you selected MY TIME 5 pm. Either it's a set time or its anytime dining, not both. I go to the buffet the nights I dont want to eat at the set time. It opens at 6 pm

I'm not the one who asked if rcl was having trouble with financing because they delayed inaugural... never happened before right? My beef with the new ceo is he was promoted from accounting and seems too focused on that and not making customers happy. I'd like to see them bring in some better Mdr menus. Like carnival is doing. I did look at what ships go out of PC and dont like italian so dont want that italian ship, Venezia and I saw vista. Done vista enough out of texas. Mardi gras all I saw I have any interest in. Doesnt make sense to move to a port and then go elsewhere to cruise. Have may 2025 to dec 2025 I'm looking to cruise. Just looking for now.

Pushed it back by 2 weeks august 2025 so people havent even booked flights or hotels. You can move to the august 31st date price protected. Or to another ship same week, 3 options. I think also to another week with star was the 3rd option. Jubilee was pushed back to last xmas, I'm sure you were busy posting worrying that carnival was having trouble with financing when it was pushed back even more weeks. I wouldnt count on smaller builds from rcl either. Looking or thinking about something said in answer to a question, didnt rule it out, but then announced another as yet unnamed oasis class ship next to be built. Seems icon class is very expensive to build, quite a bit more than oasis class. Icon and star are the only announced icon class ships. Utopia is coming and after star will be another oasis class they said recently. I was shocked how much more expensive than oasis class. Recent itineraries show rcl is moving to do big ships on shorter routes. Wonder currently the newest oasis class being moved to s. Florida to do 3 and 4 days. Other short routes announced. Huge disappointment. People are looking at carnival lol for another line.
