We were on the Wonder last month and I was shocked to see how many 5-7yr olds were roaming the ship alone!!! We would see these same little ones every day…..all day…..every where……and never a parent in sight.
These ships are like floating cities with people you know nothing about. You can tell little kids not to go into someone’s room all day long but how easy would it be for someone to snatch them into a cabin as they walked down the hall?
There were two ladies on an elevator and one said “where in the world is your daughter?” To which the other replied “I don’t know and I don’t care because I am not a parent this week!”. And then they laughed and laughed…😳
I guess I am old school and believe my job as a parent is to take care of my little ones and protect them even when I am on vacation!!!
On the Oasis class ships we book Boardwalk balconies all the time and have never had a problem with noise UNTIL we sailed on the Wonder.
On the other ships the latest Aqua show was always over about 10:45 however on this ship they did not start the second show until after 11:00pm so it was almost midnight before it was over and it was LOUD!!! This happened several nights during the week.
We had another Boardwalk balcony booked for September and I called and got it changed!!!
Why not just pay the small extra and do Valet parking? We had the same scenario when we sailed from Tampa and because we had valet they moved our cars to Terminal 6 and it was waiting for us as we stepped off the ship.
All my casual clothes I roll and place in the bottom of the suitcase. All of my dress clothes are left on the hangers and covered with a plastic dry cleaners bag. I then fold them in half once and place them in the top of the suitcase
Get to the cabin and hang them in the closet…..no wrinkles….😎😎
you will be hiking…..
Is there anyway you can go back into your reservation and pay the small extra fee for valet? Worth every single penny to have your car out in front of the terminal and waiting for you!!!
Radisson At the Port is very dated and gets VERY bad reviews on Trip Advisor!!! No way would I stay there!!!
There are much nicer places to stay!! Here is my preferred list….all less than a mile to the port.
*Hampton Inn Cruise Port/Home2Suites
*Homewood Suites
*Towneplace Suites
*Springhill Suites
*Residence Inn
I can’t see spending hundreds of dollars on a nice cruise and then not tipping the person you turn your luggage over to!!
We always tip, thank them and wish them a good day!!😎😎
In Canaveral when you arrive you will be put in sections outside according to your assigned boarding time. When we were there we only saw sections up to 11:30-12:00 and all others were asked to go sit in another areas and wait until the first arrival times were able to enter the terminal.
Once inside the terminal you will once again sit in sections according to your assigned arrival time and this is also the order in which you will board.
you will probably get on earlier than your 12:00 time…..but just to let you know this is the process now at Canaveral
