chengkp75 can you tell me if the drinking water is any more or less salty after the process? I find that after a week on board my ankle starts to swell. I'm guessing it's too much salt in the food but often wondered about the water Thanks

We had a table for 12 once.

Just fill your water bottles the night before and put them in the refriigerator . Better tasting when it gets cold. Coming out of the bathroom tap it usually is warm.

Just my opinion. You will get many different opinions on the canapes. The canapes we receive on formal nights for being Elite are hit and miss. Mostly miss. As you said they have been sitting and are for the most part dry. Now the canapes we received from our Travel Agent were so much better. For one fresh and better tasting. Now will all the preordered Canapes be fresh. Can't tell you but the one experience we had was good.

Both are beautiful ships. You can't go wrong with either ship.

We also stopped eatting the bread. Our solution. Just ask th wait staff to remove it when you have been seated. When we had the same table every night after the first night they knew not to put it on the table.

Nope. We like to pick and choose our seats so we go early to get our favorite location. I think too many people would reserve seats and then not show up. It's worked fine the way it is for the last 35 years. What's next. charging for the shows.😱

In the past Princess had many themed dinners. Now not so much. I think it will just be themed Dress To Impress. Do your own thing and suprise everyone. Have a good time.

I guess just get to the showroom 45 minutes early and then there is no problem. Been doing that for years. Just take a book to read.

You will see a range of dress on formal night on Princess. For men a few tux. More dark suits, a few sports coats and even a few short sleeve shirts with dress pants. Please no shorts or base ball caps on formal. Princess no longer enforces their suggested dress code. Wear something that you would to a nice sit down restaurant and you will be fine. Formal menus don't wow but they have some nice selections.

With all that is going on with airports in Europe I would not want to go in the day of cruise. Stay at one of the airport hotels for the night.

Each ship can be different. One way it could work is you report to the lounge to pickup a tender ticket. Show them your Elite status and they will automatically direct you down to the tender and you will get at the back of the line waiting to get on the tender. If you wait till the crowd is gone you can just walk down to the tender without getting any tender ticket. That normally happens a couple of hours after they start tendering.

Book it now and get the cabin and location you want. Keep checking back for price changes and if the price drops have your travel agent rebook with the lower price. No guarantee the prices will drop but the prices can always go up.

Ive found the later you wait to setup your app. you run the chance of not getting the dining times you want.

Ok , We had to cancel our Alaska cruise. Covid. Have received back on our credit card the airfare and transfers. Now waiting for the FCC for the canceled cruise. Here is my question. What can I use that FCC for? Can it only be applied to a new cruise? What I would like to use it for is the tours for another long cruise we already paid for that sails in December. Is this at all possible? Thanks Joe

If I had never been to Alaska and wanted to see glaciers I think I would wait and book an Alaska cruise when I had more time. Seems like a long trip just to do a 5 day sampler cruise. We once did the sampler cruise by tacking it on to another 7 day cruise. Our favorite is still the Anchorage to Vancouver. You most definately would see glaciers on that itinerary. Princess is known for it's Alaska cruises. Good luck deciding.

Are there hotels close to the cruise dock? Where you can look out your window and see the ship in port? Or are most of the hotel chains closer to Fishermans Wharf?

Even though I caught a cold and Covid on that cruise we like the Grand and love Window Suites. Even without the balcony. What do they say, even the worst cruise is better then no cruise at all.
