  1. Driving back from Port Canaveral on Saturday it seemed like half the cars on I 95 had New Jersey plates.
  2. I’m booking this later today. We’re on Mariner and I have an appointment at next cruise! We’ve never been to any of the ports and it sounds great.
  3. We like the beach bungalow on Labadee now that we book junior suites and don’t have access to barefoot beach. I rebooked 2 of them and saved over $500! They were $540 and are now $250. I was also able to change 2 Coco cay visits from beach beds to beach club for the same price. Beach club was $123 for those sailings. My savings can go to the deposits for more cruises!
  4. Is this all of the European sailings? No British Isles or anything out of Amsterdam?
  5. Our neighbors have so much stuff in their garage that they have to unload the groceries before moving the car into the garage. My favorite garage story. When we moved to Atlanta our house had a “enclosed “ carport. The house was on 2 sides and the third side was a solid wall. I guess it wasn’t a garage because it didn’t have a door, but I thought of it as a garage. I called to get a quote on insurance. I explained it was a garage but didn’t have a door. There was a pause before she asked “then how do you get the car out?”. I said “the same way we get it in”.
  6. It was quite a few years ago, I believe in 2014 or 2015. We were doing a repo from Vancouver to Hawaii. I just remember how disappointed I was that our ship wasn’t going to be right there. The cab ride was more than 10 minutes and I remember passing by a tent city used by the homeless population. We haven’t been back in Vancouver since then. We had a great time there, and I’m glad they use the Canada Place docks. It was a great area to walk around.
  7. I don’t know the answer to that question, but a word of warning. We paid quite a bit for a room there because it would be so convenient. Only it turned out that our ship docked quite a bit away - a long taxi ride. I would suggest checking to make sure you dock there.
  8. For our trip next summer, we decided to stay an extra night and fly out on an early flight. We’re doing the Stonehenge trip and staying at a Hilton hotel next to terminal 3. I really, really wanted to see Stonehenge. It also gets us back into Atlanta early enough to make the 2.5 hour drive home. The afternoon flights got into Atlanta late enough we would probably stay there overnight.
  9. If your flight is after 5:00, the cruise planner offers return with either Stonehenge or Windsor Castle for $124.99. I’m sure they offer direct ones on the ship.
  10. I have luggage straps that are lime green and say MINE! . So far so good.
  11. Yes, they made omelets to order. It was in the WJ towards the back on the left side of the long counter. Interestingly, they wouldn’t make fried eggs, for those you had to take the premade ones.
  12. Our last visit to Coco Cay we had gotten a great price on the beach club. We talked to a couple who went to the check in podium and asked about an over water cabana. There were quite a few empty. They got it for a 50% discount.
  13. In order to cruise more frequently we’ve changed from grand suites to junior suites. But on Oasis class I do miss having Coastal Kitchen for breakfast and lunch. So I was looking (out of curiosity) at Icon. I believe I picked summer of 2025. A regular JS was about $5200 per person and the sky was about $8000. So, a difference of $5600 for the 2 of us. Even if the other ships are half that, it’s not worth it. We get 5 drink vouchers each every day and rarely use them all. We share internet so get 4 days free, and usually buy 1 or 2 days. Breakfast in CK is nice but if we cruise more we’ll be pinnacle soon. I’ll look at the cost difference when the new cruises are announced, but I don’t think we’ll upgrade.
  14. Interestingly, our 4 day Mariner early next month has menus for the MDR for days 1 to 5. We’re doing a b2b and the day 5 isn’t even the day 1 of the next cruise.
  15. We started watching soccer when our son started playing at about 7. We decided we needed to see what the sport really looked like. During the season we’re up early to watch EPL matches. This weekend we will watch the US team and try to catch some of the other national teams.
  16. My favorite use for turkey leftovers is turkey and noodles served over mashed potatoes. I think it must be a midwestern thing. Both Dave and I are from Indiana and grew up eating this. When we moved south people were appalled that we would eat it. It’s my definition of comfort food. Unlike my mom, I don’t make my own noodles, I buy Reames frozen ones.
  17. When you use your card to enter Coastal Kitchen for breakfast the person at the podium will ask your cabin number. You give the suite number and they see it has 2 people and there’s 2 people standing there. They don’t ask to see the cards. You are shown to a table. There is no issue unless the child with the suite card tries to go to CK for breakfast. As long as you are swapping and not adding, nobody cares.
  18. Mine for 11/2 appeared today. Your title seems off.
  19. I just ordered a pair. Amazon has them for $9.99.
  20. There are very few posters on this site whose content I would never doubt. @chengkp75 is one of them. His posts are based on knowledge not conjecture.
  21. I would be quite satisfied with this. We have missed ports in the past and gotten a refund of port charges or nothing.
  22. Last time they did and it was very good.
