  1. I have been using Bonine for years. It always contained meclizine as it’s active ingredient, although recently I bought some and the the active ingredient was changed to diphenhydramine which is the active ingredient in Benadryl. So, make sure to read the fine print. Also meclizine tablets are available on Amazon much cheaper than Bonine.
  2. Agreed. Just came off the Liberty in a GS. Pricing was not much less than an Oasis class sailing and the benefits don’t compare. No free internet and breakfast only in Chops, to name a few. There’s a huge difference in benefits between classes of ships.
  3. They would have to enlarge CK for sure. On Harmony in January it was super crowded with the Suite Guests and Pinnacles. Or do you think they would take the perk away from Pinnacles if they allowed JS access?
  4. We are booked out til 2025 and every one of the cruises has almost doubled in price since we booked.
  5. Thanks. I saw that, but there’s a lot of cabins sold out on that one, probably to people who booked on longer legs.
  6. Well the Jewel transatlantic finally showed up for fall of 2024. Barcelona to Galveston, October 23, 2024 16 nights. Looks like no northern crossing in 2024.
  7. I don’t think anyone can figure out Royal Up. I just won an upgrade bid on a cruise that was showing sold out and I was notified thirty days prior to the sailing.
  8. I have 20+ cruises booked in the next two years, most booked when they first opened up. I watch them for price drops, but honestly every single one is almost double in price from when I booked. I book with refundable deposits in case something comes up and I buy yearly insurance policies to cover anything unexpected.
  9. In my experience bidding several times, it has always shown as submitted or expired sometimes even after we boarded. This is the first time one of mine has gone to pending and the rest to expired.
  10. I’m sorry I don’t remember exactly, but I think my first bid was in the upper area of fair. I had booked that one at a really good price so I was able to bid a little higher. The second one was on the low end of fair, because it was a short cruise. I’ve bid on several sailings, but this is the first time I have won. Most people say you hear the week before sailing, but I was notified thirty days prior to sailing.
  11. One of mine was showing sold out as well so I wasn’t expecting anything, but one of my bids went to pending and the rest went to expired. Then I got the upgrade a day later.
  12. No. I have a back to back in May. Both were booked as guarantees, had cabins assigned and I still won RoyalUps on both a few days later. Having a room assignment doesn’t affect your bids at all.
  13. Actually May is next month and both Royal ups were to Grand Suites.
  14. Sad to see this venue go. We spent a good amount of time there on the Harmony in January.
  15. Just did a RoyalUp for two legs of a back to back in May. Won both bids at thirty days out. One of the cruises was showing completely sold out. First time I’ve ever won a bid. So, even with ships showing sold out, it can still happen.
  16. I never understand why some of the most expensive cabins are in the worst locations. If you decide on a balcony try one on the aft, 9256 and 8168 are very popular corner afts, but I’d take any aft on either of those decks.
  17. I don’t know if you get to choose your cabana, but last month when I was there I thought some of them were not in very desirable locations. I don’t think I would have been happy if I paid for a cabana and then found out it was at the back of the beach area near the food stand.
  18. Had a JS under the tiled area of the Windjammer. We didn’t pick it, it was assigned from a guarantee. The worst twelve nights we ever had on a ship. At 3 am they were rolling carts across the tile floor above our heads. It was so bad they ended up giving us half our money back. Love the Radiance class, but I’d be careful about picking my cabin next time.
  19. We were just there last month. Concierge met us at the lounge and took us down in the elevator. Didn’t need water shoes. Lunch was nothing special, just less crowded. I will say, we were one of the first group there and were able to snag chairs close to the beach, but it filled up fast. The floats are free, but whoever gets there early takes most of them. There weren’t a lot. We brought blow up noodles and stayed in the water most of the day.
  20. There was just a huge discussion about this on this thread
  21. I see the sailing you are on and then nothing until she shows up in Galveston in November. She has to get to Galveston somehow. Hopefully there will be a transatlantic at some point.
  22. On Anthem now. The concierge said she’s having a dry dock at some point and then eventually off to Asia. Not sure if that is true or not.
  23. The Grandeur is sailing Tampa to Boston at the end of August 2024. Then it does a few sailings out of Boston after that.
  24. @Jumping Cruiser, thank you for that comparison. That’s very helpful. We have sailed Anthem, but never Odyssey.
  25. Pricing is higher for the Grandeur repo than it was for the Serenade.
