  1. Pizza is available on all ship, regardless of the name of the venue. Example - on Grandeur it is available at the park cafe located in the Solarium. M
  2. Mislabeling containers/food could be dangerous to those who suffer from food allergies. M
  3. You can get several pumps of flavor into a coffee, and it still counts as one drink. but you are correct, a bottle of water counts as one drink, regardless of the price
  4. We’ve had a couple of cruises canceled by Royal Caribbean. One was canceled because of propulsion problems. It was the day of the cruise, and we were all on board and then told to get off and go home. (Grandeur of the Seas, 8/31/2019) Two different cruises were canceled because the ship was chartered. Once we were able to take one of the alternates offered, once we were not. One was canceled because the ship was no longer available for the cruise. We were offered an alternate cruise, but the timing did not work for many passengers. We were on a seven night cruise (Oasis 9/3/2017) that became a 10 night cruise, because of a hurricane. So those on the following seven night cruise had their cruise canceled/changed to a four night cruise. There are probably other reasons, but these are the ones that we have experienced. m
  5. With a dedicated check-in desk, and usually some coffee/water /cookies m
  6. Suite breakfast offered daily in Chops. It was excellent! M
  7. On my way home today from a 7 night grandeur cruise. Overall we were pleased. Is it the Wonder? NO. I’d give the ship and experience a solid B+. Some areas are dated, but the ship is generally well maintained. Entertainment was good for what it is. There are no dancing drones, high wire acts, ice skating etc. but the singers and dancers were as good or better as other ships. Good headliner, comedian, in fact, is often on Oasis class ships. Dining and cabin staff were excellent. MDR food was as good as it can get given the menu items. Limited but good speciality dining. Went to WJ for two lunches and the live station was good. Didn’t have anything else and didn’t have any other meals there. Pizza was available in WJ and Park Cafe (located in solarium). Sorry, didn’t get to the casino bar to see if there were games shown. We sailed from Terminal 2 and the parking garage is across the street, $15/day and pay when you leave. We dropped off the bags at the ship and parked. This morning, we walked to the car with our bags. No facial recognition for Customs, but they keep the line moving. Terminal check in was fast and easy with pleasant workers. Cruise Director was active. Have a good cruise. I’ll be happy to answer any questions. m
  8. On board. Cabin is way larger than we expected with more than ample storage. Nice deep drawers in the dresser. We have one if the RCCL plastic buckets to chill beverages and the standard ice bucket. No issues at all. Cabin wasn’t even as dark as we expected. There was enough light coming either through the door frame from plugged in technology. No regrets m
  9. No. In fact on many cruises pinnacles don’t have access either Diamond, Diamond plus, and Pinnacle have access to the diamond lounge. Pinnacle may have access to the Concierge or Suite lounge if numbers are low. m
  10. I guess it is all based on numbers. We are about 50/50 with unlimited dinner to just 2 dinners. (Never just 1). Funny - even with unlimited dinners we don't dine there every night. We are not back on a CK ship till Jan 2024. No telling what the rules will be by then. M
  11. She was real. We had upgrades all the time in 2010-2014. We would get an email about cruise documents while we were on the way to Florida and telling us we had a new cabin. Whoever though of the Royal Up deserves a huge raise from RCCL What a moneymaker on cabins they were giving away. Plus all the info they are gathering on how high folks will pay for a cabin. Genius M
  12. You will find all ages on Harmony. Demographics often vary by time of year. Sumer and holidays will have more families/children. Oasis class ships, including Harmony have terrific entertainment and dining options. Enjoy
  13. Just got my earliest Royal Up denial. Sailing Saturday, bids denied Wednesday. Bid was mid-range for two categories. Usually, I get the denial around sail away time. No big deal. M
  14. I saw that Icon advertised dueling pianos "for the first time on RCCL" Ha Ha Ha. M
  15. Agreed, too much conversation over a free drink. Glad many get extra vouchers. M
  16. Always wondered who had a better chance for CK dinner, P's or JS? Guess, you answered the question. Often P's are limited to just 2 dinners during the week. M
  17. News flash. Often Pinnacles don't have access to CK ( maybe a dinner or two), Concierge Club or Suite lounge. It depends on some number of Ps on each sailing. Obviously, the number varies with different ship classes. P can have access one week, but not the next. If access is denied, it is clearly stated in the welcome letter. D and D+ have not had concierge and suite lounge access for a while. Don't believe JS never had lounge access. M
  18. You may have been ablet get a free drink, but if you took your card to a bar ( or GS) and asked how many drinks you had left, the answer would be there are no drinks loaded. Staff are afraid to say no. They'll give a passenger a drink rather than have a confrontation and a potential bad survey mark. It might be interesting to test the system. If you were able to use a voucher for a breakfast drink in the MDR, go to the promenade cafe and ask for the total remaining vouchers in water/soda/whatever. Could be a telling experiment. That would let one know that they may have received a complementary drink, but there are no vouchers loaded on the card. M
  19. There are NO vouchers on departure day. Staff are afraid to say no. (I guess that makes one lucky). Surely we have all seen the way a passenger verbally attacks staff when the passenger is told no? And in this case, "I am Diamond"..... is the first phrase. I'm sure staff are instructed to do whatever the passenger wants. Think about it. On a 7 night cruise you get vouchers the day you get on. Let's use Saturday departure. You get vouchers Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed , Thurs, Fri. That is 7. No vouchers for departure the following Saturday. M
  20. Still available. Not every cruise/every ship but some of the piano players have been terrific and created a great time. There was a terrific piano player on Mariner in May. Schooner bar was packed, and we all had fun. I hope you enjoy the same experience soon. M
  21. If your wait staff gave your free drink, consider yourself lucky. There are no vouchers departure morning. Drink vouchers cut off at 5 AM ( or is it 5:30) every morning including the morning of departure Staff are afraid a passenger will get angry and give a bad survey if they don't provide a drink. There are NO vouchers on departure morning so someone besides you is paying. I hope it is not the waitstaff. Everyone eligible get vouchers on embarkation day. Why would you think a B2B will not get vouchers on the second cruise? When the bars re-open on your turnaround day, you will have access to your free drinks, the same as every passenger. I don't believe there is much open prior to 11 or so. M
  22. We did as well but at this point can book several full cruises with the profits we've taken. M
  23. Your elite plus, gives you diamond benefits on Royal Caribbean. $10 off is the RCCL Diamond laundry benefit for Diamond. Diamond plus and Pinnacle get a free bag. M
