Sorry, yes, I did miss your point. The OP has an unusual situation, and I hope it gets straightened out. m -
10,000 point Super Mario celebration guest prizes
cruisegirl1 replied to girlzillla's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Most every staff on every ship has heard of Mario. He is well above 10,000 points by now. He may be the only passenger who has over 10,000 points. I've never heard of anyone winning such a nice prize. Good for the OP. I hope it gets worked out. M -
Nice offering. Don't get used to it! I see you have the Rice Krispy treat, but your is embellished. You will find all kinds of different treats. Some nicer than others. A few times we've received a plate with simply an apple, pear and an orange. M

They will be included on your sea pass card. They can be used for any drink, not just alcohol. Simply tell the bartender/server something like, "Please use my daily drinks" or "please use my Diamond drinks". They also can tell you how many you've had and how many are left. They reset at 5am each morning. They are good at most any bar and are also good at Coco Cay or Labadee. M

What exactly is an "Infinite" room on Icon

I booked an infinite balcony on Icon (deck 9) for March 2025 and it was slightly higher than most standard balcony cabins on the same deck. M -
Symphony of the Seas metal doors?
cruisegirl1 replied to iKarenE's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I like an inexpensive ( think dollar store) item on my door to identify the cabin. Often the folks on either side thank me as it helps them as well. In all the years, only two have disappeared. Last cruise, the item was stolen/lost /broken/borrowed/whatever, but I kept the hook magnet on the door. SO funny as the magnet hook was worth more than the item that it held. A savvy thief would have taken the magnet as well. M -
Just take a head shot of a photo they are in. If the photo is not up to RCCL standards, they will snap another, takes 10 seconds. m

Coastal Kitchen menu on Symphony?

Thanks - forgot about that. M -
You can't bring a whole case on board. See the link in the above post for limits. Whatever you want to bring, you must carry on. M

Just spent 2 weeks on Wonder and honestly can't tell you the CD. We mostly interacted with the terrific activities staff. Way back, the CD had a larger presence to introduce shows/entertainers etc. Now with several shows going on at a times, that doesn't happen. They do tend to make an appearance at the end of the ice show. Didn't go to the quest or love and marriage show but I agree that he/she can make or break the experience. I hope the CD (whoever it is) makes the cruise an enjoyable and memorable one for you. M

Coastal Kitchen menu on Symphony?

It is an option if you are in a full suite. JS may have dinner there if space is available. Pinnacles have dining options depending on how many Ps are on board. It is not available to others. M -
Coastal Kitchen menu on Symphony?
cruisegirl1 replied to TeeRick's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I like the lamb chops and the branzino for entrees and the warm honey pear dessert. There are a few raw fish appetizers that I enjoy. Kids menu chicken noodle is tasty. Many like the kids banana split. Plus there is an everyday menu in CK Don't care for the cannelloni ( very heavy) or the crab cake ( too much breading). The mid week menu choices are my least favorite. Not a general fan of the desserts with the exception of the honey pear. enjoy - Remember if you order something that is not to your taste, tell the server and it can be changed our immediately. M -

I know it is on the app when we are on board. That's how I know which nights to avoid. Not fond of the mid week menu options. Prefer MDR or specialty those nights. M -
Transatlantic (and Transpacific) - What Do You Like?
cruisegirl1 replied to fac429's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Our most recent TA was just in September 2023. We had a lecture for ports, one for the Prins Christain Sound portion (likely my favorite cruise day of all time) and an enrichment lecturer as well. I hope they continue the practice. If I recall, they ran the port lectures on the TV too. M -
Transatlantic (and Transpacific) - What Do You Like?
cruisegirl1 replied to fac429's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I know I wrote east to east, but I meant west to east ( US to Europe) on the above post. Yes - that lost hour (which indeed does seem like every night) is hard. I've heard that some ships have the time change at noon, so the hour is lost during the day. Not sure which is better when an hour is lost, but we've always had the nighttime switch. M -
Transatlantic (and Transpacific) - What Do You Like?

A TA is not for everyone. If you are not fond of sea days, I would hold off or try to find one that has relatively fewer sea days. The Article Circle TA was the best of both worlds. Our first TA had 5 sea days and it was fine. Our upcoming one this Fall has 7. -
YEARS ( and years) ago those in the Royal suite were often invited to have dinner at the Captain's table. The practice stopped a while ago and was never reinstated. In fact, except for a few exceptions, there is rarely a formal captain's table dinner. Enjoy the suite but be aware that not all Royal Suites are created equal. Some ships have a more vibrant suite program with a variety of benefits not provided on Radiance class ships. You will have full access to the suite lounge including complimentary evening cocktails, lots of attention from the suite concierge and goodies delivered to your suite most every (if not all) night. You may be able to arrange a bridge tour. Of course if you hit D+ on this cruise, the D+ benefits do not kick in till the following cruise ( But you probably already know that). enjoy the cruise and the suite M

Permanent change to lounge access?
cruisegirl1 replied to BND's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Coffee machine is generally operational around 6:30 or 7AM and until about 10 in the evenings. If the machine is not operational, I come back, use a voucher at the cafe ( or buy a cup), or get a beverage at the complimentary coffee stations. I don't know the basic workings of the machine and would never attempt any functions if it was down. M -
Permanent change to lounge access?
cruisegirl1 replied to BND's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The lounge is open ( by room key) 24/7. The benefits paper or letter from the LA will generally let you the concierge hours, continental breakfast hours, evening snack hours etc. m
