  1. Last night's show will be replayed right before the new one next week, so you can get it then. You didn't miss too much anyway. Not sure about this crew, they need to get their act together.
  2. We have early voting for two weeks prior to the election, so we voted last week. We could have also voted by mail or done an absentee ballot. In NH where my Mom is, they do not have early voting but she got an absentee ballot and voted a few weeks ago. Much easier for her to do that instead of taking her with her walker. I did offer to take her to vote in person if she wanted but she chose absentee.
  3. I think I have been living under a rock. Reading the comments about Nicole coming soon, I was trying to think of who's kid is having a girl soon. DUH, the hurricane! Carry on lol 😱😇
  4. I wonder if it is because I vote at a school that is in session. I remember growing up, there were police details at our voting locations in a different town too because my Dad was a police officer and always worked a detail if he wasn't already on duty. 😄
  5. I vote at a location that has no permanent handicap parking spots in the area of the door that you enter the school. There are temporary spots set up every time we vote, with cones and blue handicap signs. There is a police detail inside the building and also outside the building.
  6. There are many federal laws that guarantee all have the ability to vote. Did your voting location change? You say you have lived in the same place forever, so you would have run into this issue in the past if your voting location is the same. You should have been able to vote curbside if the building wasn't accessible. https://www.ada.gov/ada_voting/ada_voting_ta.htm https://www.eac.gov/election-officials/voting-accessibility Still plenty of time to vote. Call your local city hall and find out how you can get in the building or where you can curbside vote.
  7. There is a Powerball winner. The ticket was sold in California. Any of you California posters hit it big? @Coralc
  8. Wonder wasn't sailing from Port Canaveral either of those times though.
  9. Yes, we sailed in a balcony cabin on Oasis last month and there is a night light in the bathroom.
  10. I am very surprised that the pretzel bread was available at breakfast. I have only seen the stollen.
  11. You said the OP did say how long the passport was expired, o addressed what you said. I provided a link to the OP so they can look at the criteria and see their options. I did not list everything as it was not necessary to do so and can cause confusion. As far as your latest thesis, I did not read it all as it is irrelevant to the discussion and what I did read is totally off base and against community guidelines.
  12. Security can easily open a cabin door, even if it is locked from the inside. I actually saw security testing the door locks with a master key on Oasis last month. I was in my cabin about to leave, so was near the door, and I saw the lock that you set, unlock and then relock. I opened the door and there were two security guys at my door. They explained what they were doing and apologized if they scared us. This was a port day but we had stayed on the ship. Nice to see they test things.
  13. Where does the OP say how long the passport has been expired? I do not see it. A passport can be expired for 15 years and still be renewed as long as it was not issued before the person was 16. I also said that there are expediters like the company that you used but they come at a cost.
  14. True, but Royal Caribbean also got fined for dumping in protected waters of Alaska and were not allowed to even apply for any of the permits for ten years. A couple years ago, they once again became eligible to apply for the permits and actually had itineraries scheduled that included Glacier Bay. They then changed their minds and released all the permits they had and changed the itineraries.
  15. Absolutely not true at all. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/will-i-have-to-take-a-test-before-i-cruise https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-vaccines-are-required-to-travel-on-a-cruise

  17. We are waiting for an empty nest too!!! He was looking for a house pre covid and then the housing market went nuts. Now interest rates are nuts. Oh well......
  18. Glad your dryer was able to be fixed. Hope Charlie gets all fixed up too. That was definitely a weird autocorrect!
  19. That looks delicious. I also had to look up a recipe, very different cooking instructions. I make a chocolate marbled cheesecake with a ginger snap crust that I got out of a Bon Appetit magazine probably 25 years ago. It cooks for 10 minutes at 400 degrees and then almost two hours at 200 where this one cooks at 400 for an hour. The sugar and cream cheese amounts are similar but I was surprised that there is two cups of heavy cream. Must be what makes it soufflé so much. Definitely will have to give this one a shot. Thanks for sharing the picture!
