Security can easily open a cabin door, even if it is locked from the inside. I actually saw security testing the door locks with a master key on Oasis last month. I was in my cabin about to leave, so was near the door, and I saw the lock that you set, unlock and then relock. I opened the door and there were two security guys at my door. They explained what they were doing and apologized if they scared us. This was a port day but we had stayed on the ship. Nice to see they test things.

Where does the OP say how long the passport has been expired? I do not see it. A passport can be expired for 15 years and still be renewed as long as it was not issued before the person was 16. I also said that there are expediters like the company that you used but they come at a cost.

True, but Royal Caribbean also got fined for dumping in protected waters of Alaska and were not allowed to even apply for any of the permits for ten years. A couple years ago, they once again became eligible to apply for the permits and actually had itineraries scheduled that included Glacier Bay. They then changed their minds and released all the permits they had and changed the itineraries.

That looks delicious. I also had to look up a recipe, very different cooking instructions. I make a chocolate marbled cheesecake with a ginger snap crust that I got out of a Bon Appetit magazine probably 25 years ago. It cooks for 10 minutes at 400 degrees and then almost two hours at 200 where this one cooks at 400 for an hour. The sugar and cream cheese amounts are similar but I was surprised that there is two cups of heavy cream. Must be what makes it soufflé so much. Definitely will have to give this one a shot. Yes, you said that earlier. He needs to find out the procedure for obtaining a birth certificate from NY. If he still lives in NY, he should see if he can pick one up in person. If he doesn't live in NY, he should see if he can order one over the phone or online. There are expediters too but he likely doesn't have the time and it is usually more expensive. Get him online and have him do some research.

Have him order a new birth certificate. You have plenty of time to get one. I know I can just go to city hall and get one on the spot for $10.

I choose not to look at everything the cruise line does as a negative. I dealt with a wonderful, compassionate rep after I had Covid. She introduced herself and said she was calling concerning my claim but first wanted to know how I was feeling and had I fully recovered. I did not have to keep after them as you suggested, they reached out to me. At no point did I feel anyone I dealt with hoped that I would forget about my claim.

I have never had a voucher used for a specialty coffee, they always use my refreshment package for coffees, water, juice, etc. I also say to use a diamond voucher when I want to use one or say I have a refreshment package when I am ordering something covered by that. It really is not a big deal. I am also able to remember how many vouchers I have left, if I couldn't, I think I would have a much bigger issue than a mischarged drink.

How are you distinguishing a $0 charge for a voucher drink vs a $0 charge for a specialty coffee using a refreshment package? The app lists both the same.
