  1. This sailing left Bayonne on October 29th, I doubt this is the first port of call. It is likely the last port of call after being in the Bahamas. You have stopped in Miami on Anthem? I thought this was a new stop for Anthem.
  2. I don't think this qualifies as an "incident". Isn't it pretty normal for a ship to do its immigration check at the first US port if calls on after being out of the country?
  3. I hadn't tried Quordle, so thanks for another one to try. I just did it in eight, using my three starting words but I might have to try a different strategy with that one to get my number down. 😄
  4. I use the same three starting words each time I play Octordle. My three words use fifteen different letters, so that gives me a good start. On the daily game, you get thirteen guesses for the eight words and can go in any order, so I win 99% of the time. Sequence gives you fifteen guesses for the eight words but only shows you the word you are working on. Once you get that word, it will show you what letters you have for the next word. Once you get used to how it works, it flows pretty well.
  5. My son did that one for a while, neither my DH or I have ever tried that. We do both the daily and sequence game of Octordle each day. Sequence is a little more challenging since you have to do the words in order. I haven't tried any of the themed games in Octordle yet.
  6. Have you tried deleting the cookies for Cruise Critic from your phone and then trying to login again? I cleared my browsing history and cookies on my iPhone and then was able to get logged in. Unfortunately, that also cleared my Wordle and Octordle streak records but that's okay. On a side note, if any of you Wordle people haven't tried Octordle, give it a shot. Much more challenging. There is a daily and sequence game each day.
  7. No apologies needed Coral. 🙂 The house is about 50 years old. We have had a few drain companies over the years and all have said they would line it if it wasn’t for that repaired area. We will just stay on a preventative maintenance schedule and have it cleared every other year. I will never buy a house with huge stone walls again. They might be pretty to look at but they are crazy expensive to repair.
  8. Ours is cast iron with a PVC repair, you can see the section that was repaired on the video from the camera scoping. That area is already narrower because of the repair and since it is PVC, they can't use the big cutter as it could get stuck in the PVC and then we would have a huge issue. If they try to line the whole thing, it will be even narrower and likely will still be an issue. We have been told that they would need to trench and replace from house all the way past the issue. The house sits on a hill, with a stone wall that they would have to go under or remove a section. The wall is long, close to 100 ft long and about 3 ft at the shortest and 12 ft at the highest. Taking out the middle section could cause the whole thing to just tumble according to my mason. The sewer line replacement and wall rebuild would top $100K. I really wish it could be lined.
  9. We have city sewer, not septic, but we have had a backup of our main sewer line twice. Luckily, if there can be a luckily, it was contained in the shower pan. We have since found out that our main sewer line has a repair in it, about 54 feet out from the foundation, which was not declared to us when we purchased the house. There is root intrusion into the pipe in that area, which is very common. We now have a drain company come about every two years to auger the line to clear it.
  10. There has to be some kind of hardship appeal that your son can apply for. I am sorry for his loss, I hope he can get this resolved. Edit: I wonder if he called his congressman and asked for assistance if they could do something.
  11. We have a Kenmore too that we bought years ago. Every time I read refrigerator discussions here, I know we are on borrowed time but I only talk nicely about it just in case it is listening. 😄 At least they are easier to get these days.
  12. I have been taking pictures of my fingertip for some reason lately. It is actually supposed to be funky clouds over the Vehicle Assembly Building at Cape Canaveral. Oh well…..
  13. The franchise is getting as bad as CSI with all the spinoffs. Down Under just finished last week, Sailing Yacht will be back next year, Adventure premiered last night and Mediterranean likely wraps up in a few weeks before Below Deck takes its time slot. You can see all the past seasons on Bravo. They do marathons of past season very frequently.
  14. I agree, I figured it would be more like a Captain's Corner with the five Below Deck Captains and Captain Kate. Definitely a wasted opportunity. The Below Deck Adventure episode they aired was the one that was on last week too. I don't see all the crew making it the whole season. My guess would be each department loses at least one person. Oriana, Kyle and Jessica would be my guesses at this point.
  15. The Down Under finale was on the program guide as two hours but the second hour was Below Deck Adventure. That second hour aired at 10 pm last week. We are watching it now and will see if it turns out to be the same thing that is showing tonight at 9pm.
  16. Didn't they air the first episode last week as a preview after the Down Under finale? I didn't watch it last week, I am watching it now.
  17. What ship are you talking about? We have stayed in a J4 JS on Anthem and noise from the elevators was not an issue at all. Noise from above was though. Avoid deck 13 if you are talking Quantum class.
  18. US bookings usual allow cabins to be moved, your rules are different than ours.
  19. It is normal for them to serve the whole table at once, otherwise, it makes it difficult for the waitstaff and it is also awkward if some people are eating and others aren't. We request a table for just our party these days as we have had enough weird experience with larger tables. As far as ordering everything at once, it has been that way for years. I think it started back when then reduced the amount of options on the menus.
  20. You order all your courses at the same time, including dessert, with traditional dining too.
