  1. I would ask on your rollcall as it can be different sailing to sailing and port to port. I have had check in as early as 10am in the past but have had 11am the earliest available time on our last cruise.
  2. We also sailed from Boston in October. We arrived early and found no lines to check in. We walked right up to an agent. Sat in chairs for all of 5 minutes and boarding started. We were on the ship prior to our assigned check in time of 11am. Same thing in Cape Liberty, they weren't checking times. On our Oasis sailing last year, boarding started before 10am because no passengers were disembarking since the ship had deadheaded from Florida. We were in our cabin at 10:10am! This year, weren't on ship until just before 11am, also before our check in time.
  3. Some reservations are held back for those that don't make reservations prior to boarding. As soon as you board the ship, connect to Royal Wifi and try to see if you can get a reservation. I would do this while standing in line at wherever the box office is set up to make reservations. If they aren't able to get a reservation, there is a standby line for each show. On a recent Oasis sailing, we saw around 50 get in as standbys. Some had to stand the whole time, others found seats.
  4. What port have you experienced that timeline? You post that when people ask about disembarking and it is not accurate as ships arrive at different times and some ports are more efficient at getting people off the ship than others.
  5. We have sailed Anthem many times and feel it has the best WJ. The flow is much better than Oasis class ships and the quality of the food has always been great. We love the coffee bar there too.
  6. We have never had any issues getting reservations on Anthem when we have stayed in a JS. They have always given priority to JS. We have experienced the opposite on Oasis class, which is why we only book full suites on Oasis class.
  7. It looks like the percentages have changed since October. I quoted original post but post is awaiting approval, so this picture might post twice.
  8. The percentage discounts look different from what we had in October.
  9. Many have signed under new names but their IP address gives them away. Some know how to get around that and change their posting habits to try to hide. Doesn't work as well as some think it does.
  10. There used to be a way to search on a particular poster within a thread, which was a lot easier, but we lost that when they changed platforms. I used to like to be able to click on the list of posters within a thread and only see their posts listed. I never found a way to only look at those posts as some are trying to figure out for reviews and I don't think this platform allows it.
  11. You can search on a member's name if you go to the search box up in the blue bar and pull down. You can change it to members, it is one of the last filter choices.
  12. Her account looks to be gone and many posts missing. It could be renamed or removed. I just hope she is safe and well and just needed to get away from here for her own reasons. Sending love if she sees this. 🙂
  13. I would also call the special needs department and request a shower stool for your cabin. It will be much safer for you when you are taking a shower on the moving ship.
  14. We chose to get the latest Covid vaccine, as well as our flu shots, prior to our October cruise. DH got them at the same time and I spaced the two out because I react to pretty much everything.😲🙄 Neither of us got sick on our cruise but many on our rollcall came back with Covid and some with the flu. I have gotten sick on too many cruises in the past, even after being vaccinated, but we figure it lessens our symptoms if we do get sick, so we will continue to vaccinate.
  15. Passengers 16 and up need a government issued picture ID. Your 9 yr old does not need one.
  16. Yes, we did the mail run on our NE/Canada cruise but it was on our stop in Portland, Maine, not one of the Canadian ports. It was on the Casco Bay Ferries and was $17pp with tickets only available the day you are going. The boat goes 365 days a year and the Captain will narrate if there are more than 10 passengers. It is BYO food and drink, not a nice lunch like @aussielozzie18 had on her boat ride. I thinks hers was a wonderful trip to take with her Dad, great memories. We would definitely do it again if we were in Portland and it was a nice day as it was nice to be our on the water. It was interesting to see what the people who were going out to their island homes were bringing with them. We saw many people with collapsible grocery carts taking anything from a step ladder to multiple gallons of window washer fluid to a Tiffany style lamp to their houses. Some islands had golf carts all lined up at the docks waiting for people and others had shuttle vans. They loaded and uploaded cargo at all islands but we never stayed for more than 5 or 10 minutes. We have been to Portland a lot in the past as it is only an hour and a half drive from home, so this was something different for us to do. 🙂
  17. I got Advent Calendars too but I am buying for an older crowd. 😀 This year they have a hops forward box or a traditional box. I went for the new box and it has been very popular so far.
  18. We used to have to reserve Spectra's Cabaret, The Gift and We Will Rock You. 🙂
  19. You used to have to make reservations for three shows but now it is only Spectra's Cabaret.
  20. I thought it was a typo at first too but when it was said in the next post, I figured it was something outside since he was talking about the yard. 🙂
