Preferred deck on Allure of the Seas
reallyitsmema replied to CajunCpl's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Access to the theater is on deck 4 and 5, so you would not have crowd traffic from that venue. Access to the cabin corridors is from the elevator lobbies, so as long as they are down the corridor a bit, I wouldn't worry about it. -
Deck 7 Aft Balcony - Allure
reallyitsmema replied to amindu's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Those cabins have side facing balconies. There is a public space that overlooks the aqua theater that gets very crowded during shows. There is a door that goes from the cabin corridor to that public balcony that I would be worried about slamming all the time. -
Preferred deck on Allure of the Seas

Deck 6 is our go to deck on Oasis class ships. If we can't get that, we will take either deck 8 or deck 7. -
Do you have Elite or higher status on Celebrity? It could be a status match.

New to Diamond Status / 4 Drinks
reallyitsmema replied to du4mch's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It is ship dependent. We were give slips for every drink on our recent Serenade cruise and never saw a slip for our drinks on Oasis. -

Yes, you can use your drink vouchers for any drink up to $14. Crown Lounge has a coffee machine that makes lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, etc but we don't find them to be very good, even when adding an extra shot of espresso. -
Drinks in suite lounge

There is an ignore feature that you can use if you have an issue. -
No ice packs available. I would suggest you buy an old fashioned, screw top ice bag and bring that with you. They are between $10 and $15 depending on the size and do not sweat like baggies do. We traveled after my husband had surgery and was still icing his leg and the ice bag worked great. We just asked the cabin steward for a large ice bucket of ice each day and extra towels. He left a plastic wine chiller bucket twice a day for us.

Drinks in suite lounge
reallyitsmema replied to West Windsor girl's topic in Royal Caribbean International
There are complimentary drinks available in the suite lounge during happy hour for those sailing in grand suites and above. If you are sailing on an Oasis class ship, there is also free beer, wine, soda and bottled water available from 11am to 11pm. -

That makes perfect sense, might as well use the 8 vouchers and save on the cost of a second refreshment package. -
How strict are they about size of bottled water?
reallyitsmema replied to Sun Lover's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Port Canaveral has been strict in our experience. -
Mac and Cheese anyone?
reallyitsmema replied to spacetraveler's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Mac and cheese in Serenade WJ was good too when we sailed recently. It was also shells and very cheesy. -
I am just repeating what we were told by the owner of the overhead door company and the installer. My car will not work with the new opener because of frequency. We could not buy new remotes or outside keypad for our old model because it was too old and the new ones are on a higher frequency. My car didn't work with the old opener because we needed a working remote to program it, so we ended up upgrading when we did our driveway, garage floor and door project a couple of years ago.

Diamond Plus Onboard Letter for Kids
reallyitsmema replied to topnole's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I didn't check it before we cruised last week, so not sure and no cruises booked yet. I clicked where it said Loyal to Royal. It is where the block with the total points used to be and a dial like graphic. Once in there, it has benefits by tier. -

The C&A grid with benefits is on the back of the Loyalty Ambassador letter in your cabin. -

That is not an extra request. There is no way we would stick to a schedule that doesn't work for us. The cabin steward is being paid to do a job and deals with changes all week long. They know how to adjust.
