  1. I am looking at the site that you can't name here that shows lots more available cabins than Royal's website. There are a lot of inside cabins, side by side but not connecting, available on deck 8 and 9 forward. I know you said you can't remove you or Charlie, but can you move one of you to a cabin for 2 with one grandchild, put second grandchild in your original cabin with Charlie and put your daughter solo in an inside beside the other cabin? You could then get duplicate keys at guest services and have all three of them sleep in one of the insides, even if one kid is on the couch? At least they would be able to come. Just an idea.
  2. Do either of the cabins that you already have booked sleep three? You could try to add to one of those cabins and then move everyone around at guest services once you board. I am looking to book Oasis too and prices for that week are much higher than any of the other weeks. I got my reimbursement for my quarantine expenses yesterday and have a large credit balance sitting on my AMEX that needs to be spent. 😄
  3. Park Cafe has breakfast sandwiches, fruit, yogurt parfaits, danish, muffins and also a bagel station with flavored cream cheeses and lox. I have never seen anything that would be a plated breakfast like eggs and bacon. Definitely a nice change of pace from the WJ.
  4. No one said there were four free drinks on your sea pass and unlimited drinks in the DL during happy hour. Drinks used to be unlimited in the DL during happy hour and diamond, D+ and pinnacle also got three drinks on their sea pass cards to use at bars during happy hour.
  5. What about El Loco Fresh? Does that do breakfast and made to order omelets? I know the restaurant that was there pre-amp did omelets, we ate there all the time, name escapes me. We have sailed Oasis since the amp but were in a suite and ate breakfast in Coastal Kitchen. I meant to check that area out but never did.
  6. You get four drinks daily, up to $13, no more limited list and at any time of the day. There are no longer unlimited drinks in the DL so there are now seats available during the typical happy hours.
  7. Final Update: The reimbursement of my expenses incurred for quarantining in Seattle hit my credit card today. I am glad I just let the process work.
  8. Okay, I thought when you said you confused ships, there was a ship that was sending people to Starbucks for their morning coffee fix when the DL machine was broken. Yes, the specialty coffees at some Cafe Promenades are made with Starbucks branded coffee. La Patisserie on Anthem also has Starbucks branded coffee in their specialty coffees. I am not sure what coffee Cafe Promenade on Anthem uses as we don't go there as they do not have espresso based specialty coffee, they just have the coffee in the urns.
  9. Have never known them to send people to Starbucks when the machine was down, so would be interested to know which ship did.
  10. Royal Caribbean does not give reciprocal benefits to the person you are sharing your cabin with as some other lines do. The Diamond lounge is not very busy in the morning, other than those who like the coffee machine. If you bring her there and the concierge is there, you both might be asked to show your cards proving you have access.
  11. Kummelweck is the type of roll. It has caraway seeds and a lot of salt on a hard roll. The beef they put on it is sometimes really good and other times really gristly. They have au jus, horseradish and mustard they will put on for you if you want. It is worth a try. If the beef doesn't look great, pass and try later or a different day.
  12. I am sorry you still aren't feeling well. This current variant is not the simple cold that a lot of the people around this forum like to say it is. Don't do too much too quickly and just take it easy. This virus is a beast and some of us are having a much harder time knocking it down.
  13. UK rules are different from those on this side of the pond.
  14. D+ gets 48 hours, diamonds get24 hours. No, you can’t split it up into minutes.
  15. Comedy club is 18 and up. Some comedians have a lot of sexual content, others swear every other word. There are some really good comedians that don’t swear at all. You probably can’t book a reservation in the app for a 14 year old anyway and would need to go to guest services to have it done. I wouldn’t bring a 14 year old.
  16. I have watched The Challenge on MTV since they started the series years ago. I miss the regulars that have been on for years from the old MTV shows like the Real World and Road Rules I did think last nights show was better though. It will be interesting to see how many of the previous challenges they use. I don’t think they will do the more violent challenges like Hall Brawl but we shall see.
  17. Yes, even the D+ discount isn't a better deal anymore. We are going to buy voom through our cruise planner if our cabin doesn't come with voom. We have both gotten used to having access all the time.
  18. It is usually midnight local time of the ship. Where are you sailing from?
  19. If you have been assigned a cabin, you can see it in the app or on the website if you log into your account. Another way is to do your check in and put your set sail pass in your iPhone wallet if you are an iPhone user. Then look at the pass in the wallet and the last digits are your cabin number. If not assigned, it will have gty.
  20. We have found that it is cheaper to buy it on sale prior to the cruise. In the past, we have bought a single device package through the cruise planner prior to the cruise and then used the discounts on sea days, so it would give us a second device.
  21. There is no fee for dinner in Solarium Bistro. Why won’t you believe the multiple people who have told you that? There are a few up charge items but those currently vary by ship.
  22. I was allowed to quarantine in my suite because I tested positive towards the end of my cruise. They would not allow my husband to stay with me unless he was going to quarantine with me for the required 5 days. Since he was testing negative and was going to fly home without me, they provided a balcony cabin for him to stay in. If you are in an accessible cabin because of your husband's disability, they would most likely allow you to stay there. They told me I was moving at first but I told them I could not go to an inside cabin. As far as driving instead of quarantining, that is a personal choice. We looked into it but we were sailing from Seattle and driving back to the Boston area would have taken almost five days. I was too sick to do that and I wanted my husband to stay negative if at all possible. Had we been sailing from Florida, we likely would have driven home. If you do end up positive and try to self quarantine, it will really depend on the cabin steward and whether they turn you in or not.
  23. Solarium Bistro has a few entrees that have an upcharge but otherwise there is not a service charge to eat in Solarium Bistro. Anyone can eat in Solarium Bistro for no charge.
  24. That pre-plated breakfast didn't look good either. There was nothing on that plate I would eat for breakfast! He doesn't do fruit or pastries for the table either.
