  1. Actually, the Summit left Boston on Oct. 15th this year and it was a 12 night cruise.
  2. I, too, am awaiting the repo cruise from Celebrity for the fall of 2024 out of Boston which should be on the Eclipse I believe. LOVED our repo cruise on the Summit this year!!
  3. So happy to hear that the musicians are fantastic on Nieuw Statendam. We will be cruising on her in January!!! ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. I feel your pain. We are booked on Nieuw Statendam for 1/14 and the main reason I booked it was because of the stop in Key West. LOVE Key West. However, we also received an email yesterday that we are no longer stopping there and instead are going to Nassau. We will just stay on the ship most likely.
  5. I have stayed at the Sonesta numerous times, even for our land vacations. It's wonderful! Across the street from the beach! Right around the corner is Primantis Pizza, open 24 hours a day.....very good pizza and breakfasts - reasonably priced. There is also a Mexican restaurant right near the hotel. In back of the hotel is a bar (The Parrot Lounge) which has food too....think pub food (fish and chips, sandwiches, etc.) very reasonably priced. If you walk up the road about .7 miles, there is the Galleria Mall and the Capital Grille which is excellent. This year, we're cruising in Jan., and the Sonesta was way more than what we are willing to pay for the night prior. We ended up booking the Riverside in Las Olas area on Hotwire for about $180 (plus taxes).
  6. Someone please correct me if I am mistaken, as I have not yet sailed, but am booked in a club balcony on the Pearl for Aug. From looking at videos and pictures, it seems there is more conveniently located storage for clothes in the club balcony cabins as storage is in the main part of the stateroom, as opposed to being across from the bathroom in the hallway part.
  7. The best wings I've had when either on the NCL Majesty or the NCL Spirit many years ago doing a Bermuda cruise out of Boston. But I've had them on other NCL ships too since then, and they have never been as good as they were years ago.
  8. We were in Curacao this past week, and unfortunately, it was not a great beach day, so instead, we just walked around a bit and went to It's Five O'Clock Somewhere Bar down the path to the right of the port. They have awesome bloody mary's and other drinks, and their nachos are fabulous! There was a special sauce on them.
  9. We're supposed to be boarding between 11 - 12. Hopefully, it doesn't take an hour like it did when we cruised on Voyager on 9/25.
  10. I emailed them and received a confirmation for reservations for us. They knew I was from the US.
  11. https://bernews.com/2022/01/travel-authorization-will-be-in-use-until-2023/
  12. We cruised on 9/25 on the Voyager and had pre-reserved Chops for embarkation day. Upon arriving at our reservation, we were told Chops was not serving lunch and we were told to go to Giovanni's. We had lunch in Giovanni's and were given two days in which we could get our reservation for Chops. Our lunch in Giovanni's was complimentary. We did leave a generous tip. We had our lunch in Chops later in the week, and it was OUTSTANDING! We left another generous tip!
  13. Everything I have read states that Bermuda is not going to revisit the $40 Bermuda Authorisation fee until next Spring. ๐Ÿ˜ž Availability to apply for it is 30 days prior to embarkation. It did take us almost 3 weeks to receive approval emails.
  14. I find HAL'S food and service superior to what I have received on Princess. I also prefer smaller ships.
  15. We are cruising on 10/15. On Sept. 14th, I submitted our Bermuda Authorisation Applications. Yesterday (Oct. 3, 2022) I received our approvals.
  16. I got off the Voyager this past Sunday. We were off the ship by 9. Originally, we were given Tag #4 which was supposed to disembark by 8 but our ride would not be there until 9:15 so I went to guest services as requested a later disembarkation time. They gave us Tag #19 which was due to disembark at 9 a.m. I know you could disembark as early as 7:30. Disembarkation was very quick and ahead of schedule.
  17. We cruised on Voyager last week and also had Chops reserved for the 1st day lunch. Upon arriving, we were told they were not serving lunch and sent us to Giovanni's. We had a complimentary lunch in Giovanni's, and were rescheduled to Chops for lunch on Friday. Our lunch in Chops was OUTSTANDING! I wish you smooth seas and sunny skies for the remainder of your trip.
  18. Currently on Voyager and just I'd let others know that there is currently no craps table in the casino. ๐Ÿ˜ž
  19. Thank you. I completed it!! I wish had read about the information I needed, such as room # on the ship, and time we got into port without having to go find that stuff, but it's done! If I can do it, anybody can!! I really am technically challenged, but I found it to be very straightforward and simple to complete. A while ago, I had created a login and typed in passport info etc., so there wasn't too much left to do. Now the only thing to stress about is that darn covid test tomorrow. I know sometimes there are false positives and that is what is stressing me out. ๐Ÿ™‚
  20. Ok, I'm cruising this Sunday. Our time to arrive is 10:30 a.m. Do I have to wait until the ship's scheduled departure time on Sunday, or can I finish completing it now? Thank you.
  21. She will get $ credited back to her cc from RCL, and I will give her the difference out of pocket for what she paid.
  22. Unfortunately I do not. Husband is out of vacation time as are my grown daughters. My male cousin has his own room on the ship. If he was not going, I would just cancel the cruise for us, but he booked because we were going and he would have someone to have dinner with, etc.
