  1. I got one of those "Cancellation Confirmation" emails with no information as well. (Lucky for me the cruise is not until November.) I find it very frustrating that Azamara would send out such messages. I know some will say it's old RCCL tech issues, but I have had cancellations before -- with Azamara and Celebrity -- and each one always named the specific tour that was cancelled. I hope you find a way to enjoy Florence.
  2. ^^ This is may issue with Azamara -- they always seem very late to the game with things like this. For example, they were very late in announcing the use of Ravenna to replace Venice. I am not on any sailing to the region during the games, I am not even a soccer fan; yet, even I know Qatar had banned travel for anyone who did not have a ticket to the games. I read that weeks ago.
  3. Wow, I am jealous! I wish I had room for 1000 bottles .... one can dream.
  4. I agree -- clearly Azamara is looking out for themselves. On some level every business has too, however, I am looking out for me, which means not dealing with companies that actively ignore customer needs. So this maneuver with Venice (and similar acts) may lead to the loss of customers anyway and damage Azamara's reputation enough that it's a slow death rather a quick one. Either way, same result: dead business.
  5. I do count on SS being in Fusina. They have VERY transparent through this process since last winter; always communications with passengers even when they were unsure of what the process would be. (Having boarded their ship using Fusina in June I can say it is a smooth process and SS did everything they said they would.) The fact that SS changed all their listings to Fusina so early, even for itineraries years ahead of some other cruise lines, I have no reason to doubt they have secured a contract. Perhaps Azamara, as an independent, is having difficulty settling on a location; however, they should make that clear to passengers rather than leaving it open to speculation. Alternatively, they could not release listings until they actually have a spot to dock.
  6. It can't be Venice bc of the rules there; perhaps Azamara doesn't know if it will be Ravenna or some other location. IMO it is disrespectful to customers to continue to show Venice as a port location. In April Silversea changed all their listings to Fusina (Venice) so that customers know exactly where they will port. Silversea published their itineraries through mid-2025; no games: Fusina is their port for the Venice area -- people can make informed decisions.
  7. By now your flights should have been ticketed so you can deal with the airline directly. If I were you I would call the airline directly and see if they will make a change, but I think it's unlikely. Was there a change to your flights that is making you uneasy with the connection time? The change may give you a better leg to stand on.
  8. And I see the same error made regarding a Quest cruise
  9. Yes, definitely looks like a "cut and paste" error. I am on the Pursuit in November and received the information in an email and a post on our roll call. It's sloppy work but I appreciate Azamara's effort inform passengers.
  10. Another vote for Spain Day Tours; you can do it with or without the winery visit. Positive reviews of the company go back many years on this board; I find them to be reliable and easy to deal with.
  11. The T-Mobile offer of a "free phone" depends on what phone you are trading in; they give a discount based on how they value your trade in.
  12. It depends on the airline. I was able to select seats for a Delta flight 5 months before final payment. I was even able to adjust those seats on the Delta website within hours of reserving the flight.
  13. Fusina is not set up for passengers. Silversea will have transportation to the Venice Cruise terminal and from there you can decide on the usual options for getting where you need to be. I sailed with Silversea in June so did this in the reverse: SS processed passengers at the cruise terminal and then used buses to get us to Fusina.
  14. I was in Portimao a few years ago and just used it as a day to go to the beach; there didn't seem to be too much happening in town that was calling us. So this may be a good day to stay onboard if you're not into the beach. (My ship ran a free shuttle, about 10 minutes ride, so I am not sure how one would otherwise get to the beach.) Zadar is absolutely beautiful and the ship will dock right in town, adjacent to the sea organ. You could easily visit the old town, or just the sea organ. You could spend as much or as little time there as you like and then be back onboard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_organ Photo taken from my balcony overlooking the sea organ.
  15. When I made final payment I waited 48 hours to call back and request ticketing; it was done 24 hours after that.
  16. All passengers get the included drinks regardless of room category. To get one of the other packages you have to purchase it; or, the premium package may have been included if you booked during a sale which included it. In the latter case it should be noted on your invoice.
  17. Yikes! That would really bother me. It's good you are taking all the small problems well and not letting it disrupt your cruise.
  18. There are spa choices in mysilversea just like the excursions; I think you can't actually book until 180 you're days out. Dining is there as well, but you won't be able to book until 120 day mark.
  19. Thanks for your summary. Could you comment a bit more on the shuttles? Where were shuttles offered and in which cities it was problematic? Thanks.
  20. If the OBC is from Azamara it should show in your account. Like others, I have been able to book tours using the OBC in advance of my cruise. I don't use TAs but it is my understanding that OBC from the TA won't appear until you're onboard.
  21. I can't wait either .... marking my calendar now 😀
  22. I agree David McCullough was a wonderful historian & writer. Just to clarify one thing: his works are all NON-fiction. (I am sure it was just a slip of the keyboard 🙂) While Path Between the Seas is lovely my favorite from McCullough has to be The Great Bridge, about the Brooklyn Bridge. Ofc, being born in Brooklyn might make me biased. 😉
  23. I had a similar experience: I called to have flights ticketed 3 days after I made final payment. The agent on the phone put in the request & said it might take as long as a week. I waited 48 hours, logged into Delta and the flights showed as ticketed. (I had been able to change seats selected at time of booking, long before final payment. This is with Delta.)
